I don't know what it is about this series I enjoy so much.
I do wish these were longer :( I want more!! But, I thoroughly enjoy this world and the conflicts.

The drama deepens in Shifter Falls
After defeating a takeover attempt from rival shifters, things should have settled down in Shifter Falls, except a killer is still on the loose. Nadine is the sheriff of the neighboring county investigating the murders, taking heat from the politicians to get results. But her investigation is going nowhere until she finally starts putting aside her long held prejudices against shifters and begins listening to what the Donovan brothers have to tell her, Devon Donovan in particular. Devon had a run in with Nadine several years before and his wolf never got over it. Nadine has no idea and Devon has no idea how to tell her, especially when the priority is hunting down and stopping the Silverman before more people get killed.
Of the three Shifter Falls books so far, this is the only one where the storyline seems somewhat forced. The police aspect of the investigation is a bit off and the determination of the politicians to ignore evidence and jump to conclusions felt strained. I'm guessing that it's all part of the set up for the next book, but it made this book more awkward, which is a shame because otherwise Warrior Wolf contained the same solid writing and character development as the first two books. It turns out that Devon has an even more complicated and tortured past than was hinted at in the earlier books. He really shines in this book, demonstrating a real depth of character. We don't learn quite as much about Nadine as I would have liked, but there was a lot going on in this book, so her character developed more through current action than past reflection. Devon and Nadine make a good pair and I'm looking forward to seeing how they contribute to the next story.

The third installment of this series was a stronger story line than the previous book. We were made aware that Devon Donovan the former enforcer for their late father Charlie, was the big bad broody wolf. The reader was also given a hint of his brief history, including a history with Sheriff Nadine Walker.
The mutual attraction between Devon and Nadine began 5 years prior. The what could have been the beginning of a spark of romance began when Devon was arrested by Nadine during a murder investigation. Like most werewolf in the world this author created, the wolf half is the one who chooses its mate and it chose Nadine. And like most humans in this world, most humans do not tolerate shifters and don't really like them. It was an additional nail to the "romance/mating coffin" for Devon, when his chosen mate happens to be a cop who again is investigating 2 unsolved murders that occurred in her jurisdiction.
Since most of the pieces were already laid out for the readers in the previous book, it was good to get the details out of the way. The spark that occurred 5 years ago between Nadine and Devon had a chance to grow when they were thrown together by a common thread - locating the Silverman. Their time spent gave them both opportunities to communicate with each other and they were able to share buried secrets.
Again, the focus on the brothers is what makes this series enjoyable for this reader. The romance between the fated mates is a given, but the growing relationship between the brothers runs parallel with each book.

Choices made
Danger is still in the Falls, the assassin loose in the woods. The humans in the next County are terrified they are going to wind up dead. Prejudice runs rampant in this book and a human learns first hand all is not what it seems. Choices are made here that leave open doors to the next book.

So far, I think this one has been my fave of the series. I liked how it completed the story of the Silverman and leads into a whole new story with Nadine's town. Definitely something hinkey going on there. Can't wait to find out.

I just love a good shifter book! Ian and Heaths books were so good, but I absolutely loved Devon and Nadines story. Lots of action, drama and romance. I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series.

Great book. Shifters are not respected by humans in this world, the h is police chief and has a view of shifters after arresting H years ago. He was innocent, she is uneasy with her actions about that night. The H recognised her as his mate all those years ago, and believes he will never be able to mate with her. Bit of angst and I loved it.

It was clear in Rebel Wolf that Ian and Heath’s half-brother Devon, once Charlie’s enforcer, has chosen a mate but never pursued her. Devon’s mate is adjacent Grange County’s sheriff, Nadine Walker. At thirty-one, Nadine is five years older than Devon, and unaware of his feelings for her. But now Nadine needs Devon’s help to close a case.
The wolf-hunting serial killer known only as the Silverman (a distracting moniker; it made me think of comedian Sarah Silverman) has killed two people, but to catch him, Nadine must team up with Devon and track the killer out in the wilderness. There are just two problems – everyone else in Grange County is convinced the killer is a werewolf, and Nadine is starting to realize she is powerfully attracted to Devon.
Nadine loves her job, and she can’t continue to do it if she takes up with a werewolf. This makes for a powerful conflict but one that could have been resolved in a more satisfying way. At 169 kindle pages, this book is the shortest in the series yet, and as with the earlier books, I wished it had been more developed.
All the same believability issues I had with the worldbuilding in the earlier books in the series are still present. Werewolf biology is still not that convincing. The romance develops fast and the suspense storyline with the killer even more so; the latter feels slightly rushed. There are interesting ramifications that follow from that subplot which will no doubt lead to a conflict in book four, Alpha Wolf, which comes out in late May.
The best part of Warrior Wolf is Devon’s unrequited love for Nadine. In the earlier books, Devon was my least favorite of the Donovan brothers, but in this book, his history of attacking people on Charlie’s orders is explained from and it becomes evident that although he’s a gruff loner, Devon isn’t the bad guy the others assumed. Devon’s devotion to Nadine is at the heart of this novel; he would sacrifice everything for her without asking for anything in return. Unrequited love is a trope that I’m fond of, and it’s handled well here, enough to earn Warrior Wolf 3.3 stars.

Again brilliant book
Again great storylines with strong characters. This is about third brother devon and his mate. Another great read in this series.

I enjoyed seeing Devon's layers peeling back. I just knew that Nadine was his. I was torn with whether I liked her character, at first, but decided later that she was okay. I have a great hunch that the neighbors of Shifter Falls are going to cause trouble of the Donovan brothers. The mysterious shooter was crazy, but the aftermath revealed how deep prejudice can run. Excited to read the final book and hopefully see the brothers all get a well deserved HEA.
