When Amelia was little, Granny made her a beautiful blanket.
As the years go by and Amelia’s blanket gets more and more worn, Granny always manages to trim away the tattered bits and have just enough left to make something new. As her well-loved blanket gets smaller and smaller, Amelia discovers more and more ways to have fun with it.
When Amelia grew older, she began to pursue new things and no longer finds contentment in what she has. Then, one day, she inherited Granny's old sewing machine.
Follow Amelia and her granny on their heart-warming journey to discover the simple pleasures in life!
Sometimes grown ups need to read kid stories to be reminded of life lessons, and this book is #justenough. Enchanting story told in a light way with beautiful accompanying illustrations, this is one book you would read aloud either to yourself or to your children. I love how it is gender-neutral despite the empowering female connections depicted. I loved it so much that I had to gift this book to my friend and her daughter, as I feel that such stories need to be shared. That is the power of Allie Hill's simple yet impactful storytelling.
Just Enough made me believe that children’s storybooks are more than just “tales waiting to be told.” What the author had done in this book is to open up a wonderful portal for us as adults to connect to little kids around us—because the story touches the heart of both the children, the one listening and the one reading it out loud.
The story echoed my own experience growing up with my grandma. While we are not rich, grandma never made me felt poor at all. Her love is unlimited and never made me want anything else.
