Dolores Cannon

Dolores Cannon (1931 - 2014) was a self described "past-life regressionist" and hypnotherapist who specialized in the "recovery and cataloging" of "Lost Knowledge". Her roots in hypnosis went back to the 1960s, and she was specializing in past-life therapy since 1979.

Dolores became, perhaps, the world's most unlikely expert on the prophecies of Nostradamus. A retired Navy wife from Huntsville, AR, USA, Dolores was nearly fifty years old when she began experimenting with hypnosis and past-life regression. The results were, to say the least, quite spectacular!

Working through several different subjects, Dolores was able to establish communication with the living Michel De Notredame, better known as the prophet Nostradamus. His revelations and their impact on our own time are both fascinating and at times frightening.

Dolores has written the three volume set "Conversations With Nostradamus", the series on the translation of Nostradamus' quatrains. This series contains the translation of almost 1000 prophecies, all interpreted for the first time and have been in print since 1989. It is considered the most accurate interpretation of the prophecies ever printed.

Dolores has been a UFO investigator for twenty years, using her skills as a regressionist to help people that had been involved in abduction cases. She has written several books on the UFO information volunteers have revealed while under hypnosis.

Her unique technique of hypnosis is being taught all over the world via the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy.

Dolores has written 17 books about her research in hypnosis and UFO cases. Her books are translated into over 20 languages. She founded her own publishing company, Ozark Mountain Publishing, in 1992.

Dolores has toured in the USA, England, Europe, the former Soviet bloc countries, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia to promote her works, and to discuss her particular brand of psychic research. She has spoken to radio and television audiences worldwide. She has given lectures at such locations as: Whole Life Expos in Los Angeles, New York and San Diego; Global Science Congress; various A.R.E. Edgar Cayce Foundations; Conscious Living Expo and MBS Expo in Australia; The College of Psychic Studies in London, England; The Theosophical Society in London, England; as well as many other organizations. Dolores was the first American and the first foreigner to receive the "Orpheus Award" in Bulgaria, for the highest advancement in the research of psychic phenomena.

Articles by/about Dolores have appeared in several magazines including: "Body, Mind and Spirit"; "Magical Blend"; "Connecting Link"; "Kindred Spirit" (an England magazine); "People Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "Conscious Living Magazine" (an Australian magazine); "After Dark" (the Art Bell magazine); "The Unknown Magazine"; "The Washington Post"; and "New York Times". Also magazines and newspapers in Russia, Spain, South America, Bulgaria, Japan and Arab countries.

Dolores appeared on various TV specials including "A Current Affair" (in Australia); BBC Documentary Series "Divine Magic"; "Ancient Mysteries of the World" (a two hour special on CBS); "Ancient Prophecies I and Ancient Prophecies II" (two hour specials on NBC); "Encounters" ( a one hour special on FOX network); "Good Day LA" (in California); "Mysteries, Magic and Miracles" (the Sci-Fi Channel); "Marilu Talk Show" (ABC); "Biography" (series on A&E Channel); "America After Hours" (CNBC); "CNN International Entertainment News".

She has spoken on over 1000 radio shows including Art Bell’s Dreamland, George Noory’s Coast to Coast, and Shirley MacLaine, plus speaking at innumerable conferences worldwide. In addition she had her own weekly radio show, the Metaphysical Hour, on BBS Radio for nine years.

DNF 43% - I was most interested in the beginning of the book, where Dolores contacts Nostradamus and talks to him through a hypnotically regressed client. As they moved into actually interpreting the quatrains, my attention waned.

This is a personal thing; I just don't care for puzzles of any sort, especially ones predicting the future. I can see why people have been attracted to them throughout the centuries, but for me, it's boring. Especially now, when I'm trying to focus on the eternal present moment.

I also don't believe in any apocalyptic end times, the Anti-Christ, or some kind of rise of Satan, which Dolores was very focused on as a Christian. I'm not discounting it as a possibility, and perhaps if it descends upon us, this book will be useful, but until then, I can't help roll my eyes. She contributed so much to metaphysical knowledge but she remained so focused on the narrow Christian worldview that it makes reading this difficult.

Not only that, but if someone does believe in those things, what is the point of obsessively trying to dust off puzzles from the annals of history? To combat evil, each one of us needs to focus on our own individual contributions to the world rather than losing sleep over what some shadowy world leader might be doing.

But again, this is a personal opinion on the subject matter. Her methodology for contacting Nostradamus is fascinating, and I do think she contacted someone, possibly him. Whether he knew all he claimed or hinted at knowing, I don't know, but the beginning was a great, fantastical read.

In the 1500s Nostradamus foresaw the future of our world and all the terrible things that await us if we do nothing. To prepare or even stop these coming events, he wrote down what he saw in quatrains. For centuries people have tried their best to translate and solve the puzzles Nostradamus has left for us. I'm sure some people think they have figured out and accurately translated his quatrains, but it seems this isn't so.

Dolores Cannon does past life regression and one day she met a woman at metaphysical type meeting she was at. The woman's name was Elena and had never been to a meeting like this before, but thought it sounded interesting. Elena later found out what Dolores does and decided she would like to try a regression. Elena ended up going back to a past life where she was a student of Nostradamus.

Dolores was surprised, but couldn't believe it when Nostradamus himself wanted to talk to her. And this is how it began; how Nostradamus first came in contact with Dolores Cannon. He says he did this to warn people so they may change some of the events he foresaw.

I do see some of the stuff he said came true, but others seem to not have come true and that is a good thing. He did say if people knew, they could change or stop the events from happening.

This book was just fascinating. I couldn't put it down. I've always been interested in Nostradamus and his prophecies. I know to some this would seem unbelievable, but all I can say is to just read this book with an open mind. It's very good, has lots of information and is just very interesting. I'll be reading the other two volumes.

This book, first published in 1989, was full of excuses and contradictions with several addenda made as late as 1996. Why in the world would you attempt to work with prophecies if you believe in free will, consider alternative universes, etc., as the author does? (Nostradamus was a fatalist.) It was very risky to write a book claiming contact with a man who said that he will not speak through another human being (and to beware of imitators!). But, alas, they tried. Now, 20 years later, this book only reinforces the notion that only "time will tell." Nostradamus' writings are a piece of art--in its original language. Translating, then interpreting his work is like redoing Rodin's "The Thinker" (sculpture made of bronze and marble) and winding up with an armless "Venus De Milo" (made of marble).

Three stars does not justify this book in the slightest. I didn't know much about Nostradamus going into book but after finishing the first volume, I feel so much more enlightened and aware. Whether or not his prophecies are real, that anything is truly real, I want to keep an open mind because you never know and it's better to be prepared and aware than naive and ignorant. We all are human so we all have a lot of growth and self-awareness and improvement that constantly needs to be done. This also applies the the world.

"Conversations With Nostradamus" has taught me to be open to anything, but to also take everything with a grain of salt. It taught me how important it is to be positive and to let out positive intentions rather than negative intentions. While a lot of the topics mentioned were very controversial and somewhat terrifying, it was extremely eye opening.

A pretty fascinating read. This is definitely out there and I think the key is to go in with an open mind and see what resonates with you. Not everything resonated with me but certain aspects definitely did. And yes, even Dolores told Nostradamus there was too much doom and gloom in his predictions but after all, he considered it his duty to communicate his visions to mankind, and to remind us that the universe is about balance. So for all the darkness and negativity that manifests, light, truth and love will also come to be. I love that we get to get a sense of Nostradamus’ personality; he is quite witty, and I definitely chuckled throughout. I also love his constant criticism about how poor our educational system is and our lack of knowledge about the classics! He ain’t wrong.

The first section of the book blew my damn mind. How Dolores unexpectedly ended up channeling Nostradamus in the first place during a regression therapy session - I mean, wow this book was worth it for that alone. It'll really make you question the whole time is not linear thing. The next 100 or so pages were quite a slog for me given the tone of the warnings and all the stuff about the church that didn’t really interest me. But then the last section once again piqued my interest. And I really tried to read with an objective eye without getting attached to the outcome — as in, these are simply a realm of possibilities (the worst case scenarios) and the collective energy on Earth [a product of our actions/thoughts/words] can inherently alter the outcome. After all, that was Nostradamus’ intended goal, hence his urgency to get these quatrains correctly translated and published.

I am very curious about this anti-Christ figure and certainly have my guesses. Particularly now, certain translations seem oddly apt in terms of what is yet to unfold given the mass delusion and control happening across the globe. I didn’t intend to read the last two books but now I think I will.

The final thing I will say on this is - I really love how Nostradamus’ ultimate message always came back to the divinity within each of us, and that peace and love are central to the fabric of the universe.

Fair Warning

Delores Cannon is very straightforward and went the extra mile to make these predictions believable. I think this is a must read for everyone so we are better able to understand what the universe is telling us. This book as I am certain the next volume has been a gift to the world.

Everything you need to know about him

Wow, what a wild ride through time and space . You finally get to know why everything is so cryptic. He explains how he encoded the visions that he saw to prevent being persecuted by the church or government at that time. Well worth your time.

I thought it was exciting and sometimes freakishly accurate. This book was initially written in the late 1980s, so much of what Cannon reports from her subjects she couldn't possibly know about to have a biased opinion. I have to say there might be something to it.

However, it might be a bit outlandish for some and especially for those who are science-only purists. But if you believe somewhat in past lives, regression hypnosis, and some of the more obscure areas of quantum physics and string theory, you will at least enjoy the story.

You will also learn many more of Nostradamus' quatrains. Many documentaries focus on a few select quatrains that are easier to decipher. She discusses some of the less well-known ones and how translations have differed.

Overall, it was very interesting and made you think about time and our reality. I was really surprised at how quickly I was able to finish it as well.

I loved every minute of reading this book, it couldn't put it down. It did have it funny moments too which I love. I loved how the book was formatted as well it was an easy read and when information was need it was right there to but not jumbled together. My impression of this book was that despite the prediction made with the knowledge of what they mean we have the power to change it. And I know this book will open eyes and minds too.

The concept of the book itself is phenomenal but it was an arduous read. I had by the time I chose this book enjoyed “Five lives remembered” by Dolores Cannon and did not whatsoever expect this book to be any different.

However, it was intense, laborious and never ending. I give 3 stars for the intention behind the book. But the structuring discouraged me as a reader.

Dolores Cannon actually engages with Nostradamus and asks his help in interpreting his writings. The predictions about the antichrist are pretty depressing but human civilization survives this era and then will enter a period of prolonged peace. It seems like we can only learn to end war by having another one which will be much worse than WWII. Nostradamus says that his predictions are only the outcome given our current direction. We do have free will and if we could change our direction, then we could avoid the worst of these predictions. All these black projects with their terrible weapons demonstrate that we have learned nothing from the past and therefore are doomed to repeat it. Why does every new technology, first have to be turned into a weapon? Are we an inherently suicidal race?

I started enjoying reading this book, especially if true that Dolores was really speaking with Nostradamus across time. However I started to question it, when reading further, and becoming totally bogged down by the way it was written.

If Nostradamus now truly was able to help us decipher his quatrains, why was he giving further riddles, and not actually telling us in proper layman’s terms what they were about? He never named the third anti christ at all in the end.

It was a good idea for a book, but also a hugely disappointing long, long read.

It was different

I was confused by her saying she was talking to Nostradamus while he was in the 1500's. If that were so, why didn't he rewrite quatrains for the future in our time with the words he was learning through channeling with Brenda? The people of that time wouldn't know what car, computer, DNA, ect were. She said he was starting to understand the words of our time throughout their sessions. I'm just confused I guess. I'm Not a believer, nor a non believer. Just a knowledge seeker.

There's only so many times you can read someone describe someone else's ability to exercise their free will as a human before you start to wonder if the author has attempted to exercise control over that. The conversations with Nostradamus are so buried in ego its difficult to decipher the message from the vessel. It became less about the messages and more about Dolores' ability to tap in and her work and her methods... not that this isn't good information but it shouldn't be 90%of the book with the given title it has.

I have read 9 other books by Dolores Cannon and I am almost finished with this one. I found it a bit vague, occasionally inconsistent, and a difficult read. Thank goodness I did not read this one first as I may have decided not to read her other ones, which I enjoyed immensely. I still have vol 2 and vol 3 to read, which I will, and try to remain objective. I give it 3 stars out of respect for the author.

I’m DNFing at 30%. I very much enjoyed Cannon’s previous books but this one is just a slog. The author spends entirely too much time of explaining the nuts and bolts of the process and having Nostradamus explain to her in endless paragraphs “how he’s going to tell her.” Just tell her. The handful of quatrains I read “interpreted” were not explained or simplified at all. This is just not a book I was looking for. An extra star out of respect for Dolores.

Fascinating

The source was eerily accurate. Once again the attempts at interpretation were a weak point. It was as also clear that the source and the interpreter had different impressions of “soon”.

I approached this with an open mind and I’d recommend for anyone else who wants to read this to do the same. I listened to this book in its audiobook format. I won’t do the same for parts 2 & 3. This is a book I would’ve liked to make notes to research later.

Remarkable predictions that are happening today. Very in depth visions of the future with regenerating organic computers as well as organic spacecraft with colonization of space. Loved it.
