Letters Across An Open Sea: Love Letters Book 3 is by Ava Miles. This book consists of the third letter between Anna Sims and Noah Weatherby.
Letter three is from Noah. Anna had told him of an incident at the USO where another girl was humiliated because the guys thought that because her clothes fit close and were a bright color that she was a prostitute. She wore tighter clothing because she worked at a factory and they wore their things tight so the hems, etc. didn’t get caught in the machines. She just got use to wearing her clothes tighter. Noah wanted to know what regiment he was in and his name so if he ran across him in Europe he could dress him down for getting fresh with a young lady who only wanted to make them feel less unhappy.
This format is very unusual and I don’t like it. It will now take so long to get letter 4 if there is one. I would prefer them all in one book.

Book review

Can't wait for more chapters to come out . It's amazing how 2 people who don't really know each other can bond through letters

This is a beautiful prequel for Ava Miles’s next book, Along Waters of Sunshine and Shadow. The book is made up of a series of letters and is a very quick read. I would probably recommend reading this right before the actual book comes out but you don’t have to. You’ll be invested in these two individuals and will want to read what happens next. I know I do! These letters have all of Ava Miles trademarks such as making you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time. If you are looking for something short and sweet than this one is for you!

This is the story of Noah and Anna as they send letters to each other throughout the war, this gives you an insite into both sides of the terrible times they both experience with heartbreak and joys. Nice easy read.

3I love the way the story is progressing between the 2 main characters, Noah and Anna. The way he wants to take care of her. Cant wait till the next letter.

This is Noah's second letter, and I wish it were longer. Anna has sent Martin's St. Christopher medal to Noah, and he expresses his regret that he cannot protect her and her mother. The letter continues as Noah discusses his favorite book, Robinson Crusoe, and wondered if she, a teacher, had read it. He also mailed Anna a picture of himself, Martin, and another soldier who died in the same battle. I hope Anna sends her picture in return mail.

This is going to be a long month between letters.

I honestly have been trying to get into this series, but I'm finding that with just letters between Noah and Anna, it isn't enough, and its difficult to relate to. And there is far too much time between letters to keep my interest going. And I'm finding it hard to relate to Anna and Noah, without seeing what is going on in their lives. I've read other books where they've used the letter concept, but there is also enough known about the characters, (showing what's going on in their lives)that you want to find out what happens next. Not just the letters. Ava Miles is usually very good, but I'm finding this series very difficult to get into as a reader and as a writer.
