This is quite unique journal. It has beautiful artwork and I love the colorful pages and photographs. ( Just for the art this journal deserves attention ).

It may be appealing more to those who meditate or more to spiritual souls, but I think every person can actually benefit from reading and feeling up the pages.

There are words of wisdom from the author, inspiring teachings and art. There is plenty of space to write our own answers and reflections, draw, and be creative. The journal helps to practice you.

I am. I feel. I do.
I love. I speak.
I see. I understand.
I trust. I serve.

It's a beautiful journal with high quality paper which I adored. It was enjoyable and felt beneficial. Some of the prompts felt a little off to me which is why I gave it 3 stars. About 1/3 of the pages benefited me and the rest didnt vibe with me personally. It was a gift and I enjoyed it but I never would've purchased it for myself.

I love love love this. It felt like I was sitting in Elena's yoga classes. (Or at least what I imagine them to be like.) A beautiful walk through your inner self, she prompts you with beautiful ideas, thoughts, images, watercolor design, and questions to get your heart spilled out onto the pages.

This is a beautiful and heart-centered journal that I'll continue to use for years to come. I also highly recommend the Practice You deck. Pour yourself a cup of tea and plan to spend some time with yourself often!

This took longer than usual for me to fill, as the prompts slowed down my typical stream-of-consciousness writing. While laborious, I did ultimately appreciate the insights and epiphanies wrought.

This journal introduced me to the practice of structured life-writing with prompts as opposed to the unlined Moleskine notebooks I’ve favored for the last 10+ years. Elena Brower accompanies her writing prompts with beautiful watercolors, most of them abstract. She provides a balance of open-ended and more specific prompts to provide a loose structure.

The structure provided by the prompts and the gentle splashes of color feels like a soft, warm blanket as opposed to the starkness of a journal full of blank pages. Many of us could use such a blanket during 2020, of all years.

I would have given Practice You five stars had the author included more space to develop journal entries at length, especially those after prompts involving meditation. Overall, I liked the writing rhythm this journal sparked enough that I may buy Elena Brower’s next watercolor journal, Being You.
