The characters are well done, even the minor ones. The dialogue flows, the settings are good, the chemistry and intimacy scenes are believable and depicted well, and it's a decent story. The romance is also given some time to develop so instalove is kept at bay. It kept my interest.
But, there's a lot of "she won't want me because of x reason" and that is assumed over and over by each character which impacts their actions up until the very end of the story. It got tiresome. That was my main issue.
There were also a good amount of editorial mistakes that were glaring. Some examples are using "his" when referring to a her, the wrong character name is used for the scene, missing words, etc. A decent proofread should've caught those.
And this is just personal taste but phrases like "you moron" or "you idiot" are used several times by one of the characters of the romance, in a sort of joking way, but that just rubs me the wrong way and makes me like the character less.
I was skeptical to not only read but have to purchase a book from an author i have not previously read but im glad i did. The story starts off with rising young celebrity, Shannon (18), and just released ex-con, Jay (23), meeting at a bar,in London and connecting almost instantly. Fast forward 10 years and now Shannon is recently released from rehab and Jay is making a name for herself. The two find each other and try to figure out if it was meant to be. Overall, i really liked the story. Its not overly dramatic and even though things seem to be solved rather quickly and painlessly, the story still brings a smile when i read it. I give it 4.5 stars.
This story worked for me in more ways that I can count. To become invested in a story I need to feel a connection to the characters, and, honestly, I can't tell you who I fell for more, Jay or Shannon! My heart went out to both and for very different reasons.
To begin with, I didn't expect more much than an erotic romance, as believe me, the first chapter of the book almost made me, and my kindle, com-bust. While I'm all for sexy time, I also need a little more substance, on that front, this story totally delivered. The sex became a bit part of the story, as soon as I hit chapter 2 - which picks up ten years later.
I don't want to give a thing away about the plot. In short, I will say, I highly recommended this story to anyone who enjoys a well-penned lesbian romance.

Jay, a Brit, is newly released from a 5-year prison sentence. Having a beer in a fancy bar in London, she is spotted by Shannon, a Hollywood actress on her way up and not open about her sexuality. The two spend a few blissful days together and then part, not seeing one another for 10 years until Shannon returns to England after a stint in rehab.
This was a sold romance with a good heat factor, somewhat of a butch-femme pairing. At times, it was one of those stories where a good, open conversation could have disposed of half the plot, and some of the early scenes before the 10 year parting, didn't feel very realistic. But on the whole the book was worth the read and is certainly a good addition to the Hollywood sub-genre.
This was a sweet romance. The two characters meet unexpectedly in a bar and hit it off. They spend a few days together and develop a quick attraction to one another. Then Shannon has to go back to the States to resume her Hollywood career. Ten years go by, with some events happening in both their lives but they still remember each other wistfully. Shannon has some issues, needs to get away, and returns to England where she and Jay meet again.
The feelings are still there and they slowly, cautiously resume their romance. The downside is there is a lot of "not feeling worthy of the other" going on, especially for, Jay who has a big secret that she fears would destroy Shannon's career. The characters, including the surrounding ones, are all believable. Their encounters are humorous, touching, or surprising, depending on the scene.
There are some typos that should have been caught, but otherwise, this is a solid, well-written book.
Time by Eden Darry is a sweet love story. The two main characters, Jay and Shannon, are different in every way yet they meet and find love. It was destiny. Nevertheless, they face adversity that threatens to destroy them. Life is stressful and full of unpleasant surprises that forces both characters to reevaluate themselves. Did they make it or the difficulties of life took that ability away? Some say that love finds its way, it’s a cliché, yet everyone expects the predictable outcome. Did Jay and Shannon let go of their phobias? Is it predictable? Read it.
This is a nice celebrity romance, with the ubiquitous trope at the 85% mark. I understand that it is (over)used simply as a plot device, but it seldom occurs IRL. I am also aware that this is a work of fiction. That said, I do not think it strengthened an already good story. I liked how Shannon protected her heart, yet made sure her needs were met in the beginning. I really liked Shannon and Jay as a couple. This is a nice romance and well worth the read.
