This was a fun first volume. It was a bit slow with major plot points-- focusing more on comedic interactions between the two protagonists (lots of arguing and stray dog jokes).
If it weren't for the gravure idol panels of the Dark Liege, I would have said this would be good for 3rd to 5th grade readers. Those panels are the only thing I can think of that might have caused the "older teen" rating on the back-- unless the series becomes darker/more graphic as it progresses.
Summary: Short, entertaining read, nice art style(especially in short-lived battle sequences), but not sure I'll be picking up volume 2.

I want to say that its good. It hard to really judge a manga this early on. Some manga get really good later on and some just fall flat. This one does have some interesting idea that and seems to be really similar to Beelzebub manga. What makes me a be wary of it is there are only 9 volumes from this series so I can't really expect much and I assume that it may just fall flat that why it might have been cancelled. I don't really know if that true since this ended more than 10 years ago. I might try to get a used copy of the second volume but it doesn't really have a strong volume one to justify buying it at all cost.

This started out amusing (Cerberus in human shape as a familiar) but the abuse the poor guy gets at the hands of the teenage boy he's tied to (who "always wanted a pet" yet doesn't feed him and constantly kicks him, metaphorically and magically) is just...nope.

It was alright, although it was a little hard for me to read and keep focus since it was my first time reading a manga.

Meh. This one seemed to have a cool premise, but it didn't really do anything for me when all was said and done. A very annoying and over-confident high school student (Kazuma) all of a sudden gets control of a demon from hell (who turns out to be Cerberus). Cerberus is essentially tied to the human as a form of training, and Kazuma has the authority to control Cerberus's use of magic (approving or denying any use). Of course, there are many run-ins with rogue demons, and lots of annoying yelling matches back and forth between Kazuma and Cerberus (master/dog kind of arguments). By the end my overall response was, "whatEVah." Just generally bland.

The story is pretty simple -- a misbehaving demon is sent to the human world to be trained by a teenage human. The characters are the best part, and the interactions between the main two are hilarious! While the art is pretty simplistic at times, the actions just jump off the page and chase you through the story. I couldn't put it down! Here's hoping the rest of the series keeps the momentum going!

I have to say, I"m not the biggest fan of the title of this series (it should be 'demondom' because it's all about demons anyways), but I find the whole thing highly entertaining, and am looking forward to #5.

Loved it! One of the first couple of series' that got me hooked on manga! The art is amazing and it is manga so there aren't a lot of words, and it only reads from right to left (like normal manga) so if you haven't read regular manga it will take a lot of practice until it makes sense.

I remember reading volume one and not being that interested. Read up to volume four and I found one character I like at least! But there's still something off about the drawing style and panel layout that I don't find smooth (transitions, perhaps?).

O SHONEN. I never met a dog-demon I didn't love. And one chafing the command of Light Yagami, no less!
