Elena Slater grew up on the streets of New York City, as the baby sister of Alexander “Slay” Slater. She knows how to hold her own, and she’s anything but submissive. Sure, all her closest friends are members of The Club, Boston’s most well-respected BDSM playground, and she can’t help but see the appeal of power exchange, especially when it comes to the sexy, ultra-dominant, and much-older Blake Coleman. But that could never be more than a fantasy for a girl like her… could it?

Blake Coleman, grieving the loss of his wife and long-term submissive, spent the past year retreating from the world. But he’s slowly recognized it’s time to reconnect with his friends, and reassert his place as Master Blake, the founder of The Club. It’s a full-time job, especially when Alexander Slater’s little sister is determined to push his buttons. He’s all too tempted to teach her a lesson, but he refuses to give into the rampant arousal she awakens in him with her sass. She’s far too young and mouthy for the likes of him.

But when Blake and Elena find themselves caught up in a nasty smear campaign motivated by revenge, the two adversaries must form an alliance, and they can no longer deny the magnetic attraction between them. What will happen when the sassy spitfire collides with Boston’s most well-known and respected dominant?

His Lady, book five in the Boston Doms series, is a standalone novel. It contains elements of BDSM, including bondage and the discipline of adult women.

In the words of Elena
No way no way no way no way.
I got so giddy at certain parts.
Oh the dirty mouth on Blake can make any woman lose her panties.

Now I have to go get the rest of these books.

I didn't even know they existed. How could I have not known. Well now I do and I'm telling you ladies this series is not to be missed.

The way Blake took care of Elena and talk to her was just...yes dreamy.

There is not only D/s aspect to this story. There is also suspense and danger.

Elena was constantly crossing lines with Blake. And we all know what happens when you cross lines with a Dom. Who am I kidding if I had Blake I'd be crossing the line too.

We all know it takes a bada** woman to keep up with a bada** man. These two fit together perfectly.

Steam factor 10

"I take care of what’s mine.”

Ooooh la la!! Jane Henry and Maisy Archer penned another succulent Boston Doms confection that hit my sweet spot! This thrilling erotic romance is charged with searing emotion, BLISTERING hot BDSM interludes, and edge of your seat excitement!

HIS LADY features a deliciously taboo older dom/much younger sub romance between 20-something labor and delivery nurse Elena Slater and worldly widower Blake Coleman. Elena, who is the baby sister of Blake's right-hand man, Alexander “Slay” Slater, is a frequent visitor at his highly lauded Boston BDSM club and has always been a thorn in Blake's side due to her mouthy, insolent attitude and impetuous nature. They are constantly locked in a battle of wills--he treats her like a pesky kid sister and his bossy, domineering persona totally rubs her the wrong way! But beneath the heated animosity is a smoldering mutual attraction that bubbles beneath the surface!

But who would have guessed that the match that would ignite the flame would unwittingly come in the form of an anonymous online hookup! "MisterH" and "LanieLove" forge a special connection on Blake's late wife's SubHaven social media blog. A younger and emotionally needy Elena is drawn to MisterH's stern, protective, paternal nature and eagerly anticipates their cozy chats . During their online interactions, he provides her with the firm yet kindhearted dominance she sorely needs, and in turn the warm, bubbly, effervescent LanieLove brings Blake's grief-stricken heart--and dormant libido-- revving back to life!

There has been a big void in his life ever since his beloved wife Josie passed away from cancer and he had retreated from the world. Mentoring Lanie gives his life renewed purpose and fulfills the instinctive need in him to Dom a woman who truly thrives from his special brand of TLC. However, aside from their nearly 30 year age difference, Elena is also strictly off limits because she is his good buddy's Slay's younger sister and the fiercely overprotective former Marine would BLOW A GASKET if he discovered what naughtiness was going on behind his back! But the heart wants what the heart wants, and by the time Elena and Master Blake discover one another's true identities, they are too hopelessly smitten to walk away!

“Sometimes you can’t predict the future. You don’t know who you’re gonna meet, or how things will turn out. You don’t know… who you’ll fall in love with.”

I enjoyed this fifth installment in the Boston Doms series IMMENSELY. I have always relished taboo romances and the enthralling sparks between sweet and sassy Elena and the gently commanding Blake sent delicious shivers down my spine! The whole forbidden fruit dynamic between this feisty duo was oh so juicy! Even though he was old enough to be her daddy and she was the least-submissive, most ornery woman Blake had ever encountered, against all odds this relationship WORKED!!!

Ahhh...how I ADORED Blake! With his silver-streaked brown hair, piercing dark blue eyes and soothing maturity, he turned out to be the PERFECT Dom for Elena. He was strict yet caring, strong and masculine, and even though he never wanted to douse her fire, he provided a stabilizing influence in her topsy turvy life. And it truly warmed my heart how Elena brought love, laughter and joy back into his achingly lonely life.

"Your love is a gift that came out of nowhere during the darkest time of my life, and brought me joy that I never dreamed I’d experience again.”

But even though he definitely had a softer side, Blake was no push-over and he did NOT shy away from meting out richly deserved consequences when his wayward girl stepped out of line! She was his to protect, to discipline, to PLEASURE! Speaking of pleasure..fair warning..a change of panties are definitely in order when Blake takes charge and brazenly fulfills all your kinky bad girl fantasies! (Hee Hee!)

As always the engaging interaction between the core members of The Club was a true highlight!!! One especially cool element of this series is that the authors infuse it with an umbrella suspense plot that is woven throughout, which not only adds a level of mystery and adrenaline-pumping excitement to each novel but revisits past romances and sets up future storylines. The main through-line in this book involves nefarious drug lord Chalo Salazar, who was harboring a mighty big grudge against our badass Doms and was using The Church of the Highest Prophet to try to discredit and shut down the The Club!

Final Thoughts: Erotic Romance Dreamteam Jane Henry and Maisy Archer scored another homerun with HIS LADY! Fans of the Boston Doms series are sure to delight in this deliciously taboo tale that's chock full of breathtaking tenderness, sizzling heat, scintillating spanky times and pulse pounding excitement. And omg that epilogue? !!!! SHEER BLISS!!!

Sexy senior fox alert!

While this could probably be read as a stand-alone, I HIGHLY recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers. That is due to reoccurring characters, consecutive timelines, overarching themes, as well as references to previous incidents / history that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe (world building).

** This contains scenes that may be difficult for some readers. Please make sure to read the examples of topics contained if sensitive to certain subjects. I will try not provide spoilers for the current story, but the following may contain them for previous stories in the series. **

I have enjoyed reading this series from Jane and Maisy. Not sure how I missed it a few years ago when I first discovered Jane and the NYC Doms series, but at least it wasn’t too late and the series for still available! The sad news is I only have one more to go before I finish it … I know it is too much to hope for any additional stories to be added, but maybe they will take pity on us and author a novella occasionally to update us on how everyone is doing!

There were a few things that I needed to give this 5 stars. Primarily it was more details surrounding a couple of the scenes. Blake is supposed to be the “top” dominant in Boston, but there were not enough examples. Is this title given to him because he established The Club? His age? Or, because he earned it based upon daily actions and practice with a long-term sub?

I would think it should be the later, otherwise what in the world would Josie be able to base and build a successful blog about? In this story, Blake pretty much set a few rules and spanked her for violations (there are a couple good sessions based upon safety), but overall just needed more. Other examples of when more details were needed include when he tied her up (Shibari) and when she was supposedly brought to sub space.

There are also a couple grammatical issues, but nothing egregious or difficult to interpret. There was a typo and extra inserted word. I mention these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

Ken Solin narrates His Lady: Boston Doms, Book 5 in a growly, harsh rasp. But that is exactly what this book requires. First of all, it's set in Boston. You can't do a Boston accent gently. It's hard and rough, just like the streets. Secondly, this book is full of profanity. You can't convey the power of a good four-letter word without giving it a hard edge. Plus, he masters the implied threat of painful consequence needed for demonstrating the power of a Dominant. The best narrators give you a window into the book and you can find yourself inside it. I unashamedly admit I felt that stomach dropping, butterfly inducing, oh-my-god thrill when Blake announced his intentions to spank Elena and called her "young lady." That's the hallmark of losing yourself in a good story: you feel what the characters feel. And boy, did I feel it!
Even the best narrator is only as good as the story and this story is excellent. The book starts with a literal bang. Nitty, gritty, dirty action right at the beginning. As the story of Elena and Blake unfolds, the sex gets hotter because the discipline gets added into the mix. Elena is no quiet, shrinking violet. She is a fierce warrior, fighting for herself and her man even when she shouldn't. Blake is a Dominant whose submissive wife died. Elena is everything Josie wasn't and it takes a while before Blake decides Elena really wants to be his submissive.
There's more to the story than just sex and domination, of course. An actual plot unfolds and it's thrilling to follow the fight to save The Club. There's a lot of social commentary on both the BDSM lifestyle and the perceived prejudice that often follows it. I was quite impressed with the explanations and justifications given for an alternative lifestyle featuring what most consider "kink". There are also descriptions of women's health clinics and the counseling services they offer. Best of all, there is the recurring message that submissives are not abused victims, but empowered women embracing their own sexual needs.
It's hard to create a book that is equal parts sexy, thought-provoking, kink-friendly, and empowering, but Jane Henry and Maisy Archer make it look easy. I highly recommend His Lady: Boston Doms, Book 5 for the quality of the story and the talent of the narrator.

Another installment in the Boston Doms series, Jane Henry and Maisy Archer continue to bring passion and a little suspense. This time we focus on BDSM club owner Blake, who has lost his wife. After mourning her for a long time, he becomes infatuated with Elena, the sister of Alex, a friend and employee. The problem is she is 1/2 his age and knows there will be repercussions if he tries to pursue her. Elena has always had a crush on Blake. The way these two finally came together was incredibly sweet. I somehow think it was a little bit of divine intervention by Josie, though nothing really eludes to this. Elena, though young for her age is extremely mature and very independent. While a submissive, she definitely has fire and is not afraid of a conflict with Blake. Blake, the ultimate alpha, has experience and maturity on his side when dealing with Elena, though there are times even his expertise isn't enough. When dealing with Boston drug Lords and religious demonstrations, this tight knit group of friends will rally and prevail. The epilogue almost makes it sound like this is the end of the series, but thankfully there are several more books we get to enjoy!

The continuity of narration using Ken Solin as the narrator has been wonderful. He has performed he last several of this series and has given stern, alpha voices and at the same time slip into the confident, yet submissive female voices. I like knowing what I will be hearing and am glad that he is able to keep the voices consistent between books. It makes the listen that much more enjoyable.

Book 5 in the series is about Master Blake the owner of The Club and Elena, Slay's little sister, who we met at the end of book 4-His Babygirl. Elena is quite the feisty, sassy woman but she's very caring & but doesn't put up with shit. Blake has already lost one love, his deceased wife Josie, and thought he'd never love again let alone to someone like Elena but while they initially didn't get along they fell in love along the way & she is now His Lady & he will protect her and be her Dom. They have quite the age difference between them, quite the chemistry & love. Elena is new to D/s but Master Blake is one of most known Doms, he's been doing this since before she was born & is quite experienced. As his club comes into some trouble it puts both of them and their relationship into trouble. This book has some hot, sexy scenes, spanking included! There are some nice comedic moments with Elena's sass and her attitude. There's some intrigue, suspense & action going on. There is very good character building here and you can't help but feel for these characters and the emotions that you're put through. There are some of the previous books characters throughout the book and then the epilogue tells where they all are 2 years later and what's happened so while this book is a standalone, it would be best read in order for maximum enjoyment and no chance of spoilers. I would definitely recommend this book!

Blake is the ultimate Dom!

Blake is just going through the motions of living after losing his wife and submissive. He has his club and he has his friends but there is just something missing. When he logs onto his late wifes blog to finally tell the readers what happens he begins communicating with one of them and develops a relationship of sorts. When he finds out that the sub is none other than Elena, little sister of one of his best friends Slay he is shocked. So is Elena. She never thought that MisterHaven was actually Blake. Her friend and also the person who she butts heads with constantly. Sass and spankings ensue.

I liked that Elena was so sassy and that Blake loved that about her. He doesn't try to change her into something she isn't. I also liked that the whole book wasn't spent on him trying to come to terms with the fact that he is falling in love with a woman who is not his late wife. He is just so smart and in control. I thought that the big age difference would bother me but it didn't at all. In fact I would have liked to have seen more scenes like the one in the restaurant.

OMG - What a Book! I finished reading His Lady and have been sitting here for several minutes trying to determine the right words for this review. I asked myself the usual questions: Was it well written - Yes! Were the characters believable - Oh Heck Yeah! Did it hold my interest - Yes it was page after page of an amazing and hot storyline. BUT - what I can’t even begin to explain is how romanticly tender and loving the storyline not only is but makes you feel while reading it. This is an amazing story about Boston’s most famous Dominate, who would go to untold lengths for his club, friends and the woman he loves. The synopsis will give you insight to what the storyline is about but what it doesn't say is that the authors have written a book showing the phenomenal connections between the characters and the lifestyle they believe in, that it will simply take your breath away. The lengths the characters go to Love and Protect what is theirs is just amazing. 2 Thumbs Up for a truly wonderful book that I’d Highly recommend 1-clicking ASAP!

I've been waiting for Blake's book and it's here! This was such a good book. From the very first page to the last page. Elena is sassy, feisty and can hold her own. Blake is old enough to be Elena's father but that isn't what his heart is telling him. A lot of stories with the hero being older are creepy but that isn't the case here. He is still dealing with the emotions of losing his beloved wife/sub and in walks Elena. They get on each other's nerves in person but in an online chatroom, the connect and get to know each other. Blake's deceased wife had a page where she talked about being in the lifestyle and helped mentor people. When they figure out who each other is, things heat up. But as feisty as Elean is, she gets herself put right in the middle of danger and it's up to Blake and the other Doms of the club to save her. This was such a good book and I just fell in love with Blake!!! Get the book and read it. You won't be disappointed!

MISTERHAVEN TAMES LANIELOVE

I have loved this series and would get all excited when I saw a new book was being added. Each story reads as a standalone, but are more a continuing series, and would be best to be read in order. They have many of the same people, adding new individuals into the mix and the drama of the series. In this fifth story, we will see that fine line between love and hate, pain and pleasure, and how it is the yin and yang of life. Also, that age is just a number, and it does not define an individual or a couple. “Sometimes you can’t predict the future. You don’t know who you’re gonna meet, or how things will turn out. You don’t know…who you’ll fall in love with.”

Blake Coleman, mid-fifties, widower, former Marine, owner of The Club, Master Dominant, mentor, and friend, are just some of the things that could describe him. His life has changed with the death of his beloved wife, Josie, who was his submissive. Trying to decide what to do with her blog, and renewing the domain, when he logs in, there are hundreds of emails, right before logging out, he receives a private message from LanieLove, and that begins a friendship that will lead to text messages.

Elena Slater, is Slay’s baby sister, she is a labor and delivery nurse, works at a women’s shelter, and has an interest in BDSM. She comes to The Club, but Slay, working there, is so overprotective. Blake and Elena get along like oil and vinegar, where she is rather belligerent to him in conversations. Elena was active on a BDSM blog that catered to submissives called SubHaven, and she knew that LadyHaven died from cancer, but the website is still active, and many people still use the forum.

The plot will have two people who don’t originally get along in person, discovering they have been communicating via a blog and text. What happens when they discover that who they interact with by text, is the one person that riles them up in person? Elena teeters on a fine line of strong will and being able to submit. “I didn’t ask you to submit I told you that you were getting a spanking.” When trouble comes in the form of a new church making threats against The Club and Blake, this puts all the club Dominants on high alert. Elena has trouble listening and following orders and that sets Blake and Slay off. “Elena, in just this one morning, you’ve aroused me, defied me, angered me, and made me laugh my head off. One thing you have not done, one thing you never do, is inconvenience me. It is my job—my privilege—to take care of you and keep you safe. That is my priority. You are my priority. Understand?” Between threats, protest, and this new church, The Club and those in the BDSM community realize that “Pandora’s box has been opened.” Through everything, two people find each other, Blake realizes that Josie was his first love, but Elena is his new future. “His girl. His woman. His Elena. His to protect, to discipline, to pleasure.” I have loved this series and all those who we have met and followed in these five stories.

From the Epilogue at the end of the book, being an update of the people, this must be the end of this series. If so, I look forward to what Jane Henry and Maisy Archer come up with and the journey they will take us, their loyal readers on.

Bad Lady

This is a fun and serious story with a strong lady as the submissive. I prefer the female submissive to be like this one, she stands up to everyone over and over and even when she chooses to submit she is still standing up to the Doms in her family. The bad guy in this series really seems determined with his continued attacks on this group of friends. I liked the epilogue where it kinda summarised all the couples and their situations. It could be interesting if the three clubs have stories a bit like the first one which really focused on unique ways a relationship might start. I enjoyed this story too... strong ladies... maybe a Domme who becomes a submissive or a switch in an love triangle.... add something different.

Unexpected second chances

Elena, Slay"s baby sister, and Blake, owner of The Club, Boston's safe, sane, and consensual BDSM club seem to have a knack of pushing each other's buttons. She's curious and determined to explore regardless of her brother's objections. Master Blake has recently lost his wife and submissive along with his lust for life until he posts a message on his wife's blog letting her followers know she's passed and received a caring acknowledgement. These are both incredibly strong personalities that had me quickly turning pages. Not only that but Salazar is at it again but what will he do now? And I"m still wondering who Victor is.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Master Blake is a widower and the owner of The Club. He grieved his wife Josie for a long tine, but finds himself dreaming of his friend Slay's little sister Elena. The same Elena who verbally spars with him every time she comes in The Club. He is very attracted to her, but she is almost 30 years older. He also meets a woman online who he finds himself topping. Elena also finds herself attracted to an older dom online...yes, its Blake. Once they figure it out, it's almost impossible to stay apart. BDSM, spanking

Wow! You get a bit of everything in this book. There is action, suspense, romance, and heat. Since this is the 5th book in the series, you get to revisit the other couples.

The members of the Club make up a tightly knit family. I loved Elena's sassiness. The back and forth online chat between Blake and Elena was fun.

This book was actually sweet, funny, intense, and suspenseful. You could read it as a standalone. It will probably make you want to go back and read books 1-4. I think you will enjoy it a little more if you read the previous books first.

Very Re-readable

I've actually read this book a few times since I originally bought. I've not read any of the others in the series, but I may do that at some point. It's just that when I was looking for a BDSM book some time ago, the blurb for this one stood out. Even though it's the fifth book in the series, enough info regarding previous characters and storylines is provided that I didn't feel lost. I was just easily invested in Blake and Elena and that very first chapter always sucks me right in. I know it won't be long before I'm reading this one yet again.

Beautiful Depiction of Age Gap, Starting Over

Master Blake and Baby Slay...it could only have been them for each other. It just takes them both awhile to figure it out.

Some consistency errors are cropping up, the result of two authors and multiple books in the series. Noticeable, but overlooked at the beautiful way this relationship unfolded.

Love after loss, structure in chaos

Love how he helps her find structure and she helps him find love again. Blake and Elena's story is one of the best BDSM stories I've read in a while. Surprise, sarcasm, love, friendship, angst....this has a little of all of it. Definitely recommend reading.

Old man

I loved the way this book took me through all the emotions. I was so sad for Blake and the Elena came along. The action and suspense in this book was better than the others. I enjoy the support that was exhibited by all the characters and the community. This was another good read. I still am not convinced about the spanking thing, especially with a belt.

Amazing!

This series is heartfelt with seriousness, laughter, tears, and love. It's all wrapped up in a nice BDSM package. Definitely enough to scorch your sheets and keep the pages turning until the very last book. I couldn't put the series down! I also thought New York Doms was another amazing series anyone who loves these will devour!

Great book

This one is my favorite of the series. I really enjoyed how Elana kept Blake on his toes. I will give no more spoilers except to say you may need to make a block of time for nothing else as this will grab you and not let go until the very end. Happy reading and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I wanted to like this so much. The promise of Master Blake, widowed and broken male, vs. Elena, extremely outspoken and feisty female.
I personally think the characters lacked depth and the plot lacked intrigue.
It’s a quick and easy read, and the characters are very likeable, which was the only reason it wasn’t a dnf for me, but it just felt lacking. Predictable.
On a more positive note, I really appreciated the way the bdsm community was portrayed. It showed a side to the community that not a lot of people think about. It’s not about just sex, it’s about the relationships and what each partner gives the other.

I love this set, but so far this is. My favourite one of this set. The plot of this book was even bet than usual a nd it is always good. The characters are great and as always great to read.
