Alles in allem also ganz nett aber nichts was heraussticht.

I actually liked the stories in this book. The first story is about Kazuto that wakes up in bed with a hangerover and he is with another guy Takasugi. He doesn't remember anything from the night before but he has sold himself to Takasugi for an certain amount of money. All Takasugi wants is for him to spend time with him over the next month. They go to different places and have a nice time out. Will these two fall for each other while spending time together.

The next story is about two teenage boys that have been friends all of their lives. They live next door to each other. When they where younger the one boy would give the other magic kisses on the check whenever he cried to make him feel better.

The first story was really sweet, we see how from a misunderstanding the 2 main char fall in love.
The 2nd story is about 2 high-schoolers, one a womanizer who likes to change gf like t-shirts and the other a shy and model student. There is jealousy, a rival, but in the end real love wins.
The last story is about 2 childhood friends and how the two start to fall in love while growing.

In this manga there arent sex scenes, but i gave 4 stars for the feelings.

Contrast and conflict are winning parts of any drama and especially so with the boy’s love genre of yaoi. As with a lot of yaoi manga, the emphasis in Lover’s Pledge is on youth: shy, naïve, foolish boys being tutored by older, wiser men. However, in a couple of the stories, the age difference is not so great. The semes [tops or dominants] only seem much older than the ukes [bottoms or submissives] by way of their cool, aloof or strict natures.

Ukes aren’t necessarily passive or limp characters; there would be little drama or interest if they were. They shout, pick fights, attack their partners’s apparent defenses and score the occasional verbal hit. As with any good sub/dom relationship, it is ultimately the submissive who is in control. The ukes in these stories prove that notion as they put on the brakes whenever they feel the situation is spinning out of control.

While sex play features in only one story in this book, the potential for it coupled with fervent kisses and occasional tears make for gentle reading that will appeal to a broad spectrum of yaoi lovers.

A small word of warning: there are "kissing cousins" in one of the other stories. If you find that offensive, you might want to skip that part.
