I read this book for my BAM (Books and More) K-6 book club I do at the library I work at.
We are doing a books to movie: novilization theme this month.
Who doesn't like Captain Underpants. I have not seen the movie but the book was enertaining if you like potty/kid humor ;-) The students at the middle school I visit said the book followed the movie.

A nice companion book to the Captain Underpants movie. Good for fans of the movie and/or book series and/on Netflix show.

This book basically sets up the movie, introducing the characters, setting up the main events, and giving information on some of the technology used.

I loved the Captain Underpants books as a child and have started going through and rereading them as an adult. I still really enjoy them. This book is reminiscent of the series. I'm pretty sure some of the descriptions and things are taken directly from the first few books, but it adds a nice authenticity to the handbook. With classic lines like, "Before I can tell you that story, I have to tell you this story" and "Here we go again" incorporated into the text, it's a nice book when you want to immerse yourself in all things Captain Underpants.

Some of the quotes and things were just kind of randomly thrown into the book , but on the whole it's a nice book for those who really enjoy Captain Underpants.

Note: This book does not give any new information that is not shown in the movie. This is meant as a handbook/guide. Good gift, but definitely not a necessity except for those who want every Captain Underpants-related book ever written.
