Milana Raziel is the exotic pen name for a not so exotic, peripatetic litigator who has had a life-long love hate relationship with words. Mostly love, but she hated the fact that adjectives and adverbs were frowned upon in her chosen profession. After years of making up stories in her head to pass the time in really boring depositions, she decided to get her adverb on and try committing them to paper.
We'll see how that works out.

The Tryst was a sneak peak at Jonathan Drazen as a college senior and it was delicious!!! I adored Missy! Such a strong independent woman who seemed absolutely perfect for Jonathan! This is hard for me to believe, since I didn't think it was possible, but I think I fell in love with JD even more after reading this! It was sweet, sexy, with Drazen Family moments mixed in. It was the perfect prequel for CD Reiss' SOS Series!

** I was given an ARC for an honest review

Ok this was all "Drazen". Jonathan in full Dom mode and it was exactly as the queen would have portrayed him. It felt a little like i was cheating on CD Reiss because it was her story but not her book. I had a hard time reading this because I am extremely loyal to the entity that is: Jonathan and Monica.
I can't really see him with anyone else but this was a good look into the past. Jonathan and Lena were beautiful together in their own way. It was an open and honest relationship that helped them reveal their true selves. I don't want to spoil anything but Jonathan remains as hot as he has always been and it shows us that he has always been this way. The writer does an excellent job in enhancing his character but staying true to his roots.

ARC Review

Wow. The Tryst dished out so much more than I was expecting from a NA read. From the blub I was expecting a fun, sexy, college read. Boy was I wrong, the book was hot and I was hooked from the first steamy page. This is my first read of a Milana Raziel book and has left curious as to what happens next. Looks like The Lesson will be added to my to read shelf.

If you are looking for a steamy read give this one a go.

Contains= role play, spankings, mild bondage, dominance and submission.

"You keep surprising me, Mr. Drazen."
"You keep delighting me, Ms. Corradi."

Milana Raziel was a new-to-me author when I read her first book, The Lesson, the predecessor to Jonathan Drazen and our heroine, our narrator, Lena (Missy) Corradi, in their college days. Lena continues her reminiscing in The Tryst, whilst in an airport lounge during a lay-over. Since the storyline picks up right after book one ends, I suggest reading The Lesson to appreciate this perfect tie in to all things Drazen World.
Mainly told in dual POV, slowly we see why a younger Jon, just learning about his dominate proclivities, would go to great lengths to have Lena (what Jonathan calls Missy), a newbie submissive, in his life. Great flow with a well developed plot arch centering around each character's future goals after college...we even get to see some ginger-haired clan Drazen's attending commencements (with an "Open Pledge" no less!).
This is a believable, sensual give-and-take affair, a true tryst, between two consenting adults who know what they want.
There was a slight hint at the end that there might be one more story to tell? I will be looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Tryst is Milana Raziel’s follow up to her debut novella, The Lesson. The writing quality and the flow of the narrative make this duet very easy to read. The duet stories are part of C.D. Reiss’ Drazen World where approved fan fiction explores tangential story lines of Ms. Reiss’ characters featured in her Submission Series.

The Tryst continues where The Lesson left off. The story is told from both Jonathan and Missy’s point of view even though it is still Lena Corradi musing on her past tryst with a well-known billionaire. I felt that I got a much better picture of Jonathan in The Tryst. His point of view felt very intimate (and not just in the sex scenes). Ms. Raziel's Jonathan felt true to the original author's character, and that made The Lesson and The Tryst feel like a perfect prequel to the Submission Series.

The inclusion of the famed Drazen eldest sibling, Margie, made Missy and Jonathan’s saucy connection all the more realistic (at least in terms of the fictional Drazen family).

“My sister was a Chanel-clad Boudicca, always moving, thinking, working. Dispenser of wisdom wrapped in the disguise of sardonic one-liners.” --Jonathan

I loved Ms. Raziel’s take on Margie, as well as her depiction of the conflict with which Jonathan struggled. Jonathan’s responses and behavior are the perfect explanation to his behavior in Ms. Reiss’ Submission Series.

Beauty, love and pain are so frequently thrown together in works of fiction. Ms. Raziel’s latest novel exquisitely includes all three. While the ending might, at first, seem bittersweet, The Tryst offers readers a well-educated, successful female lead who is strong enough to hold the good memories close without letting loss affect her future. Missy/Lena Corradi is the master of her destiny.

ARC courtesy of author - Thank You!

Ah! Another lovely, naughty treat from Ms. Raziel.

The Tryst, as is The Lesson are part of the C.D. Reiss's Drazen World collection of stories, set in the world of Submission Series and featuring its characters *read: best, author approved fanfic* -- how cool is that?

The Tryst picks up right where The Lesson left off and gives the relationship between Jonathan and Missy some time to grow. Told from the dual perspective it gives the reader a chance to learn what drives these characters and discover the truth of their feelings, even if they are not willing to admit those themselves. It's passionate, quick and bittersweet - a whirlwind of feelings and emotions, that will certainly leave readers eager for more. But it wraps up nicely this two-part prequel, staying true to Ms. Reiss's original characters, yet giving us a completely new story and a worthy heroine.

The Tryst is a compelling and sexy read. Jonathan Drazen is a sexy star pitcher looking forward to his upcoming college graduation. Missy is a tutor for the baseball team and a serious student; she has plans and she's determined to achieve her dreams. After a night that neither can forget, Jon and Missy find themselves in an arrangement where they can explore their needs and desires. Their worlds collide as they get to know each other and their bond becomes stronger. Jonathan is a very creative Dom and Missy is the very independent woman who delights in both submitting to him and challenging him. Fans of the Songs of Submission series will love to see a younger Jonathan.

The Tryst by Milana Raziel was absolutely fantastic!
It's hot and steamy, with just the right amount of kink. The plot draws you in and will leave you screaming, 'I want MORE!!'
This is a perfect work of fan fiction and I hope that the story will continue on ~ Please! ~ I need more Jon and Missy!!
The writing was outstanding. Milana stayed true to the Drazen family characters while masterly intertwining them with her own characters and plot.
I loved it!
Well done!!

5 stars!

The Tryst is a fanfic spinoff of the Songs of Submission series by one of favourite authors evaaaaa: CD Reiss. The Tryst picks up right where The Lesson left off. The story is told from both Jonathan and Missy’s point of view.
Jonathan Drazen (swoooooon!) is the King of Campus and the baseball team’s star. Lena Corradi, Missy is the baseball team's tutor and a very serious student.
I enjoyed them both together so much and I appreciated the fact that Missy was such an independent strong woman.

I never thought I'd love this book as much as I did. The story was passionate, emotional, steamy, kinky, sexy and it will most definitely leave you eager for more.
I highly recommend this book, especially to fans of the Songs of Submission series who will love to see a younger Jonathan Drazen (and who wouldn't want more of Jonathan Drazen, right?)

"If you have never seen beauty in a moment of suffering, you have never seen beauty at all..."Friedrich von Schiller.the

I was absolutely enthralled with the relationship created by Johnathan Drazen and Messalina/Missy/Lena. It was a s/D contracted relationship that was to stay secret. This author holds nothing back in writing a fully developed book describing the delights of s/D sexplay. Each scene was fully described, deliciously described, and intensely erotic. I personally found myself falling in love with Jonathan Drazen. He was so happy to care for his "Lena" as he loved to call her. She was proud and worked hard for any advantage she may had. She is brilliant, quirky, and a beautiful sensuous of Italian descent woman. She is a studied, loving and willing sub.
Toward the end of their relationship, the lines began to blur and real love was about to ignite between the two.
Word about this unsuitable (in the eyes of his father) poor girl who accompanied Jonathan on an art museum tour in New York got back to his sister Marge. A society lady outed Lena because of her shoes of all things.
Purely out of love and self-sacrifice, Jonathan let's go.

"She was an extraordinary woman. There was no way I would let her and her dreams be crushed by the Drazen family machine. If I had to make her lose respect for me or even hate me to do it, protecting the life she was working so hard to build for herself was worth it to me. Putting my selfish desires above all else and fallout be damned was a Declan Drazen signature move. It wouldn’t be mine." - Jonathan

Because the love making between Lena and Jonathan was hot, erotic and sticky sweet at times and their intimacy was a treasure and source of strength for both, when Jonathan walked away from her for the last time at graduation, the readers heart breaks right along with Jonathan.
The writer enthralls the reader and once you begin reading you are under her power. While the storyline and the passionate erotica are well worth the read, the themes in the book just may remind you of the one you let go or the one who let go of you.

It's my first read of a Milana Raziel. I have mixed feeling about this one. I liked that it was in both POVs, and that it was set during Jonathan's college years, before Monica. I liked Missy. She and Jonathan made a good couple. They had great chemistry. The sex was hot. I think fans of SOS series would enjoy this one. On the other hand, Jonathan and Monica are one of my favorite couples, so it's hard to love a story that has Jonathan with another woman. Also there were times that I lost interest. This may have to do with too much telling; I prefer to be shown. I didn't get the epilogue. I'm not sure if it was necessary to have it. I was left scratching my head wondering the purpose of it.
I wasn't aware that it was a continuation of the Lesson when I read this, but it's not necessarily to read it before reading The Tryst.

It's passionate, it's sexy, it's hot, it's kinky, it's emotional, it's erotic... it's fantastic! If you're a fan of the Songs of Submission series by C.D. Reiss, then you'll definitely want to read The Tryst by Milana Raziel. This well-written story with a great plot has plenty of role play, spankings, mild bondage, dominance and submission.

This Broke Me, March 16, 2017

This review is from: The Drazen World: The Tryst (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Kindle Edition)
Jon and Missy, broke me. New to this world, the plot took a turn towards the unexpected (for those not familiar with the originating series). And with that ending, I was broken. The story was beautiful, and the arrangement hotter and more mature than most NA/college characters receive. I'm going to collect the pieces of my broken heart and read the original series, so I don't get any more surprises from the Drazen world.

Jonathan and his friend Beau have a threesome. Lena leaves early the next morningJonathan revealed what he got out of the experience to Lena HIs first lesson. He didn't like to share and that he and Lena could teach each other a lot. This was a great introduction to the Jonathan the young sadist in training. Looking forward to book 2 The Tryst

I fell in love the the campus King sadist in training. Every kinky appoint had a lesson to be learned an I learned that Jonathan was a very creative and playful sadistic that’s not to say he was a gentler dom. I really enjoyed the trip to the art museum and will be looking up on some of he art referenced exploring further.

It was almost a Cinderella story for Lena but it was nipped early by the Drazen family machine. The thread that Declan might do something to Lena if Jon didn’t walk away from her.I’d definitely conclude that Milana’s books be prequels to SOS CD’s songs of Submission series.

I’ve read almost all the fanfic spinoffs of Songs of Submission, one of my favorite books EVER !!! I enjoyed reading the stories about the different characters of this series.

In the Tryst, I think Milana Raziel took a BIG risk, writing about THE Jonathan Drazen one of the most amazing characters by Cd. Reiss…. She did an AMAZING job.

It is the story of Jonathan a star College Pitcher and Missy/ Lena’s secret D/s relationship, and how it developed from just “contractual” to Love.
The sex scenes were steamy and erotic, I’m sure every time I’ll hear “pedicure” I think about that perfect scene between them.

This story is written so well ,I loved that it had the 2 POV.
It is THE PERFECT prequel for Jonathan.
I recommend this 5 star read to everyone who loves this series.

Who doesn't love the sexiest LA Dom alpha Jonathan Drazen. This look back at his college years as a star baseball pitcher at UPENN, makes this swoon worthy, sexy rich boy make any girl want to drop their panties. Jon Drazen has certain proclivities and after one night of debauchery with another player and Missy the team tutor, Jon knows that he cannot shake her from his system. Now that they have tasted the forbidden fruit, an arrangement is made between the two. Knowing the contract is time limited, can they both enjoy this no strings attached tryst without letting emotion get in the way.

Hot, and raw, a fast paced delicious read for any fan especially those of the Drazen world!

I'm probably in the minority when I say JD isn't my favourite CD Reiss book bloke, but that's not to say I don't have a soft spot for him. And college Jonathon hits a the same spots as his older incarnation.

'The Tryst' kicks off spectacular fashion; kinky college hotness for the win! It's sexy and erotic, but also sweet. We begin where 'The Lesson' ended, which suited me just fine; I was a little flat when, heavily jet-lagged, I'd swiped to what I thought was the next page of that tale to find I'd reached the end. So I was stoked to be given the opportunity to read more of their story, and would recommend it to any and all Songs of Submission fans.

I think it's a brave writer who takes on a character as adored as JD. I doth my cap to you, Milana, and look forward to what you bring us next.

4.5 sexy and sultry stars.
