Mia's writing is getting better to me with each book she puts out. This story had a much better plot then her other ones and it had a lot more steam to it.

Sandy thinks she's found her happily ever after when she meets and falls in love with Brent only to watch him die in her arms. Sandys downward spiral begins after Brent's death and she's hell bent on revenge for anyone and everyone involved in his murder. She completely changed her appearance to blend in with the crowd that killed Brent. What she doesn't expect is Rick the leader of the group she wants to kill and the brother of the actual murderer. The second Rick spots Sandy he knows he wants her. And as much as Sandy hates how he makes her feel she can't help the attraction and how much she wants him. She starts to realize she might not be able to go through with her plan. She's beyond conflicted with what she feels.

This book had a few twists to it and was a quick read but, just a slight rushed.

If I could give this book a negative vote I would. I did not read it! I got as far in the blurb as ...."site" of his naked body..... like it's a site of wonder or a building???? WTF?

If someone is going to put out a book and charge money for it then they damned well better make sure they can spell! It is 'sight' of his body....sigh..... this is just more crap and I am happy that I did not waste my money on it!

This is not rocket science! It is either just laziness or total ignorance and the readers that gave this garbage 5 stars???? Tells me that they can't spell or they just don't know the meaning of the words they are reading ....if they even read it.

This is shameful!

The potential for a great story was there - what an interesting idea - falling in love with the nan responsible for your loved one's death..
Unfortunately the book was too short and seemed jumbled and all over the place.... I'd love yo see this idea expended on

O loved this story about Sandy & Rick!
Sandy's life falls apart after her fiance Brent gets killed & dies in her arms. When she learns he left her a life insurance policy, she change her appearance to blend in with the crowd that killed Brent. She goes to a bar where his attackers frequents & here she meets Rick, the brother of the guy (Eddie) who killed Brent, who runs a small crew including his brother Eddie, that he trusts. His brother's always there for him & is even prepared to go to jail for him, but he feels he had enough of this life & decides to do one more job to make enough money for a new start. When he sees Sandy, he's instantly attracted to her & wants her. They hit is off & Sandy feels split in two,...revenge or love..... because she's so attracted to him. What will she do? Kill him or run away with him?

Sometimes revenge is not always a dish better served cold. Sometimes it gets damn hot, and a meal you aren't ready to accept. Sandy was set to take everyone who had robbed her of the life she had envisioned for herself. Only problem was that she was ready for a smile that made her melt. Yeah, Rick was a bad guy, but he wasn't into hurting people with deadly force. Did that make a difference. Yeah, in the eyes of the law it did. To bad his brother Eddie didn't live by the same law.

I voluntarily read this Advanced Review Copy by Mia Ford and I'm finding her to be a keeper on my shelves. Her stories are those that I'd go back to on a cold cold night and help heat my sheets. I believe that others who want a ride on the wild side will find that this is the right answer for such a night. Definitely give her a 5Star rating without any problem.

I have been reading a lot of the dark romances as of late. This one was not quite as dark as some of the others. But it was a good read. I don't know if I would want to be put in that situations as the Heroine of this book. But I can see her way of thinking on it. I got this book as an ARC to give an honest review.
Sandy's life is going just the way she wants it. She has met the perfect guy and love is on the air. Only for it to be snatched away from her in the blink of an eyes. So she comes up with a plot for revenge. Rick own a dive bar and have been looking out for his brother Eddie. But now with Sandy in the pick will he try to become a better man for her or stick to his dark ways. You have to see who is Torn between their decisions. Grab a copy and just right in.

Revenge is a bitter pill to swallow and more often impossible to enact. Mia Ford has gifted us with an exceptionally fine example of how the desire for revenge changes people; how physical manifestation of hate ruins what is good and pure in us all.

The storyline is simple…the Wright brothers killed Sandy Duval's fiancé in a senseless robbery gone bad. Sandy is determined to get next to the leader, Rick Wright, then kill them all.

The characters are fully developed--so much so that you feel each and every emotion. The HEA is a long time coming...

Get this book today. It's a story worth reading, and it's life lessons will stay with you long after the story ends. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it!)

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review***Sandy Duvall was a beautiful blond cosmetologist. Jan. 26th she met a nice young man (Brent). He asked her to marry him May 3rd and they were scheduled to get married Oct.15th. But on July 24th he died in her arms after being shot by an evil young man (Eddie Wright.) He shot at Sandy missing her by inches. She believed that Eddie's brother (Rick) was at fault for Brent's death as much as his brother and vowed to kill them both. How Sandy brought the killer of her fiance to justice and decided NOT to kill his brother is a great read.

I absolutely love Mia Ford and the way she writes. Another wonderful book. After seeing her rather plain fiance gunned down, she decides to take drastic measures to make the killers pay for his death. What she doesn't count on is falling in love with the head of the gang and brother of the killer. Even though he didn't have anything to do with the death he still has to pay for it. She made some good choices and bad choices, just like he did, but in the end the perfect choice was made. I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book.

Sandy is out for revenge...her fiancé Brent was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot in a convenience store right in front of her. When she finds out that it was Rick's crew who did it she has one thing on her mind. What she didn't plan was getting close to Rick and actually liking him. What happens though when he finds out who she really is and that she has been lying to him. This was a good book that kept me reading from start to finish.

Sandy's character is very real and you can feel every emotion, and then you meet Rick. He is hot and a white collar criminal but with a soft beautiful center. I really enjoyed the book. And you learn a lesson in this book as well. All is not always as it seems. Enjoy

Just WOW! Ms. Ford's writing is get better with each new read. This 5 Star is well deserved.

Dark, intense, sassy, sexy and highly recommend emotions run high read.

I loved this book! I felt that the story though sad in the beginning heated up quickly. I love how Sandy changed her long blonde hair for the pitch black short hair...and tattoos! Nice! I thought Rick would have been more angry when he got out but they kind of just jumped right back into it. I did like the story and characters.

She finds him in Brent the service advisor at the car dealership where she takes a ticket she found for a free service. They have an instant connection. Love at first site connection. a whirlwind romance. and then he dies in her arms. Sandy wants revenge and she is going to get it against the Wright brothers.
Sandy knows that Rick is not the one who killed her fiance but that doesnt matter she will still get her revenge Sandy sets out to seduce Rick but when she finally meets him she was surprised at his gorgeous smile and his charming ways. Sandy loses her heart to Rick, When Rick finds out why Sandy is actually in his life will that
end things? You HAVE to read this book to find out.

For some reason, I got goosebumps as I was reading this book… which, by the way, I did in one sitting.

Though Sandy and her relationship with her fiancé and the love of her life Brent is depicted as simple, there is nothing simple about her plans to enact revenge on the guys who killed him.

TORN is a fast-paced, easy-flowing, and engrossing novella that shuttles the main character Sandy down an unexpected road when she finally confronts the guy ultimately behind the “in the wrong place at the wrong time” death of her fiancé. Sandy is forced to rethink her decision to kill Rick Wright, the head of the Wright Brothers gang, when she succeeds at seducing him – she has the gun, he’s at her mercy naked on her bed, and all she has to do is pull the trigger…. Instead, she falls under his spell, though her putrid hatred for Rick’s brother Eddie, the one who actually killed her fiancé in cold blood and then tormented her before escaping the scene of the crime, still runs like ice through her veins.

Sandy Duval met the love of her love. Her and Brent were planning their wedding, had the date set and after a night of celebrating their six month anniversary, Brent is killed during a robbery. Sandy wanted revenge for what happened to her fiancé and was determined to get it. After learning Brent had a life insurance policy and named her as the beneficiary, she changed her whole appearance so she can blend in with the rough crowd and get close to the people who murdered Brent.

Rick Wright ran a small crew of thugs he trusted. He had never been to jail due to this small group. His brother Eddie always had his back and didn't mind going to jail. But he was getting tired and wanted to do one last job that would make him enough money to disappear for good. While he is planning this job, he meets Sandy when she comes into his bar. They hit it off well and before long they are doing a lot more than just talking.

Sandy is upset with herself that she cannot believe she rather sleep with Rick instead of kill him and his crew. Rick falls for Sandy and when it's time for his hit, he gives her a bag that he called his getaway bag and tells her to pack one too. When he calls her they are to leave together.

Things do not always go as planned and now both of them are left wondering where they go from here. A short and good read.

Wow, this was definitely different than anything I've read so far. I loved it. Revenge actually can be sweet. The characters are great, their personalities couldn't have been better, and the plot was amazing.
Sandy witnessed her fiancé's murder during a gas station robbery and after some time, she only wants revenge that she doesn't believe she will get through police. She does a complete personality change and goes after the gang that was involved in the shooting. Never expecting Rick.
Rick has decided he is going to do one final job, he's tired of the life he's living, he just wants to go legit and start over. He has his plans made, the job is set and all his ducks are in a row...then Sandy walks into his bar. She pulls him in and he doesn't want to let go at all.
These two go through a lot, but when the detective comes asking Sandy questions about the Wright Brothers, will she stick by Rick, or turn them all in so she can see justice served? You'll never expect the outcome of this steamy read. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC from the author.

I received an advanced copy of this book and I loved it! Sandy once had a wonderful life with the man of her dreams, until those dreams were shattered the night he was shot in front of her eyes in a convenient store simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Determined to bring down her finances killers, she disguises herself and tries to seduce Rick, who is a known criminal with his brother Eddie. Her plan is to kill Eddie, her finances murderer and seek revenge on Rick, the man she believes was in charge for the order. Only she doesn't expect to be attracted to Rick, her plan to seduce him works but now she's in bigger trouble cause she's starting to like him a lot. He's not the evil man she pegged him as, he's kind and charming and wants a better life for himself and wants her with him.

I loved this story, it was heartbreaking and yet sexy as hell. Rick liked to talk dirty and I loved it! Lol Mia Ford is definitely an author to keep an eye on

This is one of the best Mia Ford books that I have read to date. This is the story of Sandy Duval and Rick Wright. Sandy's fiance was killed one night after they had gone to dinner. Now Sandy is seeking revenge on the gang responsible. Ricky Wright is the leader of the gang. Sandy changes her appearance and goes to Rick's bar hoping to meet him and seduce him and then kill him when he least expects it. Little does she know that their attraction will be so string that she can't do it. They have so much going against them but they can't help but come together. This book is full of suspense and is hot. I couldn't put it down. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I definitely recommend this book.

Mia Ford always finds a way to make a short story a juicy one that includes the steamy and sexy moments.

Sandy Duval thought her fairytale adventure was finally beginning. She found Brent, the service advisor at the dealership who helped her with servicing her vehicle. Rick Wright was the hunky owner of a dive bar with his side businesses bringing in the real money. He was waiting for the one big score where he could finally pick up and leave town. His hot headed brother proved to be more and more of a menace. Where Rick liked to stay low, Rick liked to bask in the adrenaline and sometimes that included killing other innocent people. Rick had never killed anyone and he never would. Meeting Sandy, that was complete accidental. Or so he think? These two have amazing chemistry together and the fireworks are to be envied. Can Sandy go along with her original plan? Or will she be Torn in two over her past, present and future? Can Rick trust Sandy and enough to run away together?
