Well written story.

Detective Grant and his partner Mocks go against the set rules and regulations. Their instincts are always gets the job done. Criminal organizations The Web, has all the money and influence to do what they want. Drugs, guns and child trafficking. Lots of action wouldn't let me walk away from my Kindle.

'Deadly Webs: Unwoven- Book 2' was one of those books that pulled me in and didn't let go. I was hooked from the beginning of books zero and one 'Deadly Webs: The Beginning' and 'Trapped'. The storyline picked up from where the first book left off and one of the only adjectives I can think of to describe it is intense! What. A. Ride. The story was well written and the way it played out was scary to the point of knowing that it could be based on real events. James Hunt did a fantastic job of creating a book that kept me glued to the pages and at time I was on the edge of my seat. While the story unfolded it was evident that irony was a bit$h. The characters were an assortment of awesome men and women to some ok ones and then there were the devils minions. Grant truly went on an intense journey, both physically and emotionally. He is such a great detective who is good at what he does. Mocks is a great partner. I love her strength. Even with her past demons, she still held her own and continued to stay on the straight and narrow. Plus she's a bit sarcastic- I love that trait. I also loved how the story ended. A must read. Definitely recommended.

VERY DEADLY WEBS

I am not much of a reviewer and after I started reading the 3 books in this series I realized I had read them before but they are so good I read them again. The books are short but really punch a wallop. Grant and Mocks are quite a pair of well matched detectives and the story is a real heart pumper. James Hunt is a great writer and you really need to read this series.

The reading of He series opening plot was attractive but it fell short, the second book brought it down a couple of notches and the third, the finality was totally ‘Why did I waste my time’ A few reasons why I ask why. The main character Grant becomes an unhinged person, commits murder, never obeys his superiors, is total rogue as is his partner Mocks. The storyline gets sillier and sillier until it just becomes stupidity.

Phew...

It was a nail biting breathtaking action thriller from start to end, way better than the previous 2 books of the series. It was so engaging that I literally had to hold my breath and read some portions just to not let the excitement subside.

James Hunt does it again. Grant and Mock continue hunting for the mastermind behind the abduction across the state. This is a roller coaster ride as they piece together the pieces. There is an ending in this one. He gifts us a nicely wrapped package with a bow. Thank You

Good story

Good storyline with likeable characters. Author resolved situations and justice was served. The villains got what they deserved and the heroes got peace and healing.

Intrigue

A lot of anger and violence. Not my favorite read. Never really connected with the main character. Didn't connect with Mocks either. I liked that the bad guy gets it in the end.
