Quinn Parker was raised to be a pawn in a weak man's quest for power and money. Her childhood completely void of innocence, she doesn't know what it's like to be loved or to bask in a life of freedom. When she is taken away from the clutches of her father by a Bratva badman who claims to care for her, all she sees is another life she didn't choose.
Ziven Dorosh is far from weak. His past riddled with death and abandonment, he has spent his life fighting for what he wants. Now the highest ranking Bratva member in a new territory, he has the power to attain anything he could ever ask for—anything but the sweet affection of the one woman capable of making him crumble.
It isn't until Quinn runs into the arms of the devil that she realizes she was fleeing from her angel. It isn't until she comes back broken that Ziven realizes he never should have let her go. The consequences of their actions unravel a web of lies, secrets, and connections, the likes of which could mean war. But one thing is certain—Ziven was destined to protect his Quinn, and he will stop at nothing to do so.

Hayley Faiman was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. She and her husband met when they were still in High School. They were married a few years later. They lived in Oregon while her husband was in the US Coast Guard. After living in Hill Country, Texas, for eight years and three years in East Texas, they now call North Carolina home and spend their time with their two teenage sons at all their events, screaming from the stands as they swim their hearts out!
I do not know what to say. Let's just leave it at the fact that my reviews for the book 1 and 2 pretty much sum up my problems with this whole series. Because in all honesty, there is not a lot of difference between the 11 books in this series.
Quinn Parker has been raised as a pawn in her father's quest for money and power like a lamb to the slaughter. However, she decides she won't go along with it, and becomes a serious handful. Her childhood didn't teach her how to be loved or love for that matter, so when Ziven Dorosh tried to love her, she kept running away from him. Her final stand led her straight into a nightmare of epic proportions, only this time, Ziven let her go. He's could never be considered as a weak man, as his past is full of death and abandonment, which has made him fight for everything, and his rise in the ranks of Bratva was fast. The only thing he doesn't have is his Quinn, but this time, he is tired and doesn't chase her. When she comes back broken, even though he doesn't trust her, he can't help but help her, as he feels guilt that he ever let her go. As secrets and lies unravel, he knows that he will do anything to protect her. Oh Hayley Faiman, if you EVER stop writing, I'm not sure I'll EVER recover! Every time I think she can't put out anything else better, she kills it again. She has risen her own bar of excellence so high, that I'll NEVER EVER get enough. Protected by the Badman is, yet another, book that I will read over and over again, (pretty much like all of her books). My heart is in pieces after Quinn went through hell, as her brokenness was palpable, and there wasn't resembling leaky eyes, just full on snot slinging, b*tch baby tears. This sexy author is off the charts brilliant, and all of her stories are EPIC, and Protected by the Badman is absolutely no exception. Never thought I would love a Russian Crime Family, but I'm so far gone, it even shocks me. Anyway, I've fan girl gushed enough as I'm rambling now, so let me end this by HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book, series, and sexy beast author to ALL AND SUNDRY!
Quinn was my least favorite heroine in this series. She loses points for being stupid, but I guess the book gains points for at least acknowledging it. Ziven carries this through the rough spots that would have led to DNF city without him. The ending was abrupt, and cliffhanger-ish without a suspense factor. You aren't missing anything, except thinking it a weird way to end it.
It's hard to like Quinn after she showed her ass and was incredibly horrible to Ziven in the previous books. In PBTB, Ziven has rescued Quinn AGAIN!! This is their story.
In my humble opinion this story lacks the emotion and substance of the previous stories in this series. It may be because I can't connect with Quinn. She's definitely had a rough go of it as a child. However, I've always had a soft spot for Ziven. Which means Quinn's treatment is unacceptable.
Please consider other reviews if on the fence regarding purchase. This series is one of my fave series of all time and I will continue to support this series. This story just fell short for me.
I'm such a huge fan of Hayley Faiman her books always have everything I look for in a read and Protected by a Badman has to be one of my favorites , side note I haven't read this series yet so this would my first Russian Bratva book I wasn't lost so if you haven't either don't be discouraged but I do plan to read the first ones and the ones after because I can not wait to read about the couple who are next . At first I didn't really understand Quinn and the reason why she ran but as the story progresses we get the backstory of why she did and my heart broke for her and broke some more from the pain and abuse she goes through in the beginning we fall for her as she shows her true self and the Quinn Ziven has seen behind her mean facade . MMMMMM Ziven I really loved him as a hero he does so much for the heroine and shows regret for not going to find her but I find his reasoning why very understandable hes very patient with her doesn't rush her into anything ,and he takes reeeeallll good care of his woman in and out of the bedroom. These two have intense chemistry the sex scenes are really hot and steamy , they have little adorable things they do together like Ziven cooks while Quinn bakes it had me silly ginning . I'm so eager to see whats to come for Hayley Faiman . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero = 10 heroine = 10 secondary characters = 10 Chemistry = 10 steam = 10 romance = 8 humor = 4 darkness level = 8 enjoyment = 10 story line = 10 character development = 10 pacing = 10 POV= dual ending = HEA cover = 10 stars = 5 author = 10 would I recommend this book = yes would I re read this book = yes would I read future books by this author = yes
This one wasn’t my favorite & I’m a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to reading Ziven’s story. I loved him so much in prior books & wanted him to get his HEA. That’s probably why I had a hard time liking Quinn- especially in the beginning. She was a “b” to Ziven. And her reasoning wasn’t even justifiable, she didn’t want to like him because of who he was- Bratva. Her words “I’ve always been physically attracted to Ziven, which is probably one of the main reasons I was such a “b” to him. I had to try to despise him & to think of him like scum.” In all the other books it was the guys were epic jerks, & were arrogant cruel. But in this book it’s the heroine. It wasn’t right what she went through, but it was hard to feel sympathy for her when she put herself in the position by running. Then she really frustrated me when she was safe back w/Ziven she still refused to tell him who hurt her. I’m glad she came around & changed her behavior & how she treated Ziven, I could care less if she had a HEA, I’m just glad Ziven found his.
Title: Protected by the Badman Author:Hayley Faiman Series:Russian Bratva #6
Protected by the Badman was a great 5 star read. Another great read from this series.
Hayley has done it again, I was pulled right in from the beginning. She doesn’t mess around, things are dark and twisted right from the start. Quinn has run away again from Ziven. The man she runs to turns out to be a dark and twisted man who abuses her in so many horrible ways. Some of the scenes are graphic and could be a trigger for some.
Ziven is done, he is not going after Quinn anymore. She has been such a biatch to him and he’s tired of her games. Let her run, he doesn’t care where she ends up. He is a Bratva and demands respect.
When Quinn finally manages to escape she runs to Mika, she knows that he will help her. He is one of Ziven’s men. Mika is shocked at what he finds outside his apartment and immediately calls Ziven. Ziven isn’t quite sure how to handle Quinn’s return and when he see’s her he see’s red, who has done this to his woman?
Quinn and Ziven have quite the journey of healing and finding each other again. Quinn has realized just how great Ziven is, but will he open his heart back up to her? Can they have a HEA?
My body has always known who owns it, totally and completely.
There is so much more to this great read. There are surprises and some very dark scenes. The sex is off the charts hot and steamy. If only every man was like Ziven, he is definitely the alpha male and protector. All of the secondary characters were great and I can’t wait to read Forever My Badman, I’m looking forward to Mika’s story. Thank you once again for pulling me into your world Hayley.
I have to say that Quinn has been a grade a b*tch in the last books. Of course, we didn't know it was her that was giving Vin the problems but we knew she was a problem. But nobody deserved what happened to her after she left him.
Quinn suffered greatly from leaving Vin. But even after all that, Vin still takes her back and helps her heal. Now that is love.
War is here for these families. And I can't wait to see what is next.
I am totally and completely hooked on Hayley's Russian Bratva series and was so looking forward to reading Ziven's story. I really loved him for Quinn. Both of them had no one who loved them before they were together. While Ziven gave her all of him, Quinn was a different person who ended up running and in turn experience a hell she hadn't expected. I so loved that Ziven wanted to be the one to heal her and loved watching them fall so hard for each other. Things are easy for them, but it was so worth it. These two are scorching hot together and I fell hard in lust and love with Ziven's naughty mouth. I loved their story.
I was excited to find a new series about the Bravata, let me preface by saying this was my first book that I have read in this series, in my opinion it can be read as a standalone, there was a little confusion, but overall did not take away from the read for me. Let me tell you, the other books in this series have already been added to my kindle. From what I learned from reading this Quinn was not too well liked, but me, I actually liked her and felt horrible with everything she went through. I loved Quinn and Ziven as a couple. I loved how he was the strong Alpha who when was left by Quinn, took her back after the horrors she faced. Quinn was certainly put through the ringer in this book. It started off with a bang and did not disappoint. This book was filled with emotional scenes that make you heart for Quinn as well as some very steamy naughty scenes that made you get a glass of water. I applaud the author on how she handled some very difficult subject matter and how she showed that love will persevere as long as you let it. This book was a 5 star read and certainly look forward to more to come from this author and series!
This is another amazing story by Faiman about her Badman and their strong women. This story has triggers, its filled with nail biting scenes that made me cry, cringe, and cursed but I couldn't stop reading until the end. Quinn has appeared in other stories in the series, as Z' s lady but makes him chase her. When Quinn's father puts a price on her head, Z takes Quinn away from California. She will fight him, she runs away from Z and into the arms of a monster. Quinn will be put though awful things by O.J.(Osvald Johnson aka OJ) she will finally escape right into Z's arms. Z will help Quinn heal and its beautiful to watch their love grow. Absolutely enjoyed this couple. Happy Reading!!
No cheating and it's good. Quinn leaves Zivan for another man she thinks will be good for her and he ends up torturing and raping her for weeks before he plans to sell her. He really cares for her and she completely changes from a bitch to a loving considerate woman. He does has a sex scene with OW while they are separated but it's with a prostitute. It's only one scene but he says it became his routine while she was gone. She goes back and he takes care of her. HEA. This was the best story.

Ziven has met his match in Quinn and she's given him a run for his money. Quinn has been running scared her whole life and while she wants him, she's terrified of what he represents. She runs from him again towards what she thought would be safety and enters her own personal hell. As she escapes, Quinn is all she can think of. Will he take her back, does he still care or has she screwed up forever? Another great mafia story with all that we have come to know and love.
So much happens in this book with the group of characters. It’s so interesting. They have some traders in their group. I am not a fan of Quinn. I don’t understand her behavior. This part for me was not good. Ziven is one of the good guys and he deserves better. No matter what though, he is still there for Quinn, no matter how awful she is. Ready to move on to Mika’s story.
Things are always dramatic in this series and this one was crazy! Quinn has been a turd for awhile now and still after all that I cannot say she deserves what happens to her. Ziven is such a sweet bad guy lol. I love him so much. I am so happy he gets his HEA. I'm worried about Pasha and how unhinged he has become though.
Sorry did not enjoy this one like I did all the others. Quinn was my least favorite h. I tried to like her since I loved Ziven from the first i met him in the earlier books. I continue to love all the Bratva men and the things they do for the women they love. Cant wait to read Mika, loved him since he was introduced and helped Ashley move on..
First...Mika, yay Mika. Anyway, Ziven has been the sweetest bad man. He did all he could for Quinn. She was one lucky girl. I was afraid she wasn’t going to get away. Ziven never stopped loving her and never hurt her. Where are the men like that? Now I can’t wait to get to book 7.... again yay! Mika
Ziven and Quinn ok not bad story a little different but just as good. Ziven starting a new life in Denver and being the new Boss. Quinn is young and hates being control Though is was greener on the other side and ran away from Ziven. Beware what you wish for Quinn. Enjoy reading but I am ready for Mika story. Yahoo
This was a romance and overall story progression book. Dare I say it had a tad too much sex. While I like how Ziven was with Quinn, I wasn't a Quinn fan. She let what happened to her happen for 6 weeks before she saved herself. I think I'm going to love the next book though. The glimpses of Oksana and Mika are great.

Omgosh this is my new favorite in the series Was so hard to see what Quinn went through But Ziven was always her champion til the end. He protected her as he said he would This series just sucks you in!!!!
Quinn & Ziven.... Did I think Ziven forgave Quinn too easily? maybe... but reading their story I felt how deeply Ziven loves Quinn, so it makes how he treated her. Really good, kept me interested until the very end in which another storyline grabbed my attention.. I'm on to the next one book...
You are an amazing writer I love all the characters and every storyline is different but still as gripping I can't wait to start the next book .well done to you xx
