Jean-Paul Bled is a French historian and author, and a specialist in the history of Germany and Central Europe.
The son of orthographers Édouard and Odette Bled, he is now Professor Emeritus (since September 2010) at the Sorbonne, where he held the chair of the history of contemporary Germany and Germanic worlds.
Decided to read more about Bismarck after reading Henry Kissinger's diplomacy. Interesting book as an introduction but I miss the depth and Bismarck remains a rather flat character in this book. More Blut und Eisen!
