Jarvis Eidelhorn is a bear shifter, Green Bearet, and leader. He’s fought in countless battles, and is proud to be defending his homeland from those who wish to conquer it. So when a beautiful human walks into his office and asks for his help finding someone, he’s way out of his depth. His skills never trained him for this. But saying no to her deep blue eyes was never an option.
She hated him. She’d kicked him out. But when he’s abducted from her home, Carrie Suter knows she needs to do the right thing and ask for help finding him. When the gorgeous shifter Major Jarvis Eidelhorn answers her call, she can’t help but wish they’d met under different circumstances. Because he’s holding something back, and she can’t figure out why…
As the mystery behind the disappearance unravels, Jarvis is forced to admit that something sinister is going on. Evil forces are moving, and the Green Bearets must stand ready to put themselves between the humans and harm’s way. Can he save the town and ensure that the woman he knows is his mate doesn’t get away?
Amelia Jade loves to write the stories of tall, growly shifter men and the women who come to love them. Living out in the back-country near the mountains, she keeps her own alpha male close by, to keep the bears away and keep her warm. In her down time (which is rare), she loves to read science-fiction with a dash of fantasy. You can often find her curled up in front of the real wood-burning fireplace, her nose firmly buried in a book or her favorite ereader. The cold can't bother her there!

In the middle of a war pitting shifter against shifter, Major Jarvis Eidelhorn leads a team to protect the lives of humans caught in the crossfire. When her ex-boyfriend Angelo is kidnapped by shifters, Carrie Suter tries to do the right thing, and reports the crime to Jarvis (she doesn't want Angelo to die, even if she never wants to see him again). The sparks fly between Carrie and Jarvis, but their relationship must be put on hold when they uncover a plot to hurt shifters and humans alike.
Okay, I'll confess that I got this book because I needed a book with the initials J A R V I and S in a book title for Challenge Corner's Marvel Challenge. But I do like shifter romances, and this is a good one. While the main plot is distinct from the other books in the series, it's a little too interconnected to count as a stand-alone, as the parts about the shifter war were confusing without having read books 1 and 2. But it's definitely a good book and I'm going to be looking for more books from this series and author.
Carrie has good reason to be afraid of shifters considering what happened in her home a few nights ago. She’s trying to make herself go and report the crime, but she keeps backing off at the last moment. Eventually she’s almost forced into going in to the headquarters and speaking to the man in charge, Jarvis. While there is a spark of electricity when they touch, Carrie is too nervous to take particular note of it. Jarvis on the other hand knows exactly what that spark means, his bear is telling him loud and clear. And it’s just as obvious that Carrie is here to report a missing boyfriend… so that mate ship has sailed for Jarvis.
There is something odd about Angelo’s disappearance. Jarvis can’t put his finger on what that is… until almost too late. As Carrie and Jarvis spend time together investigating clues the attraction between them is obvious, but to Carrie’s frustration he’s not acting on any of her signals. It will take a very angry Carrie to finally straighten out his misconceptions and assumptions.
As the pieces of the puzzle fall together, Jarvis must act quickly to divert a disaster. And to save Carrie’s life.
Jarvis and Carrie’s story is gripping, definitely sexy and brings the conflict in Cloud Lake to a head, and war to Cadia’s borders even closer. I enjoyed this couple’s adventures. There is gripping, action that brings the tensions decidedly higher, and some sweet, calm moments that celebrate what all of these bears have found with their mates. A very nice balance within this romance.
If you’ve followed the connecting series so far, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy Green Bearets: Jarvis very much. If you haven’t read any of the series yet then I’d strongly recommend them all as very entertaining and addicting reading.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

GREEN BEARETS: JARVIS
The story continues with the residents of Cloud Lake and shifters from Camp Base. In this book the war forges ahead between the good shifters and rebel shifters. We meet Jarvis, the Major of the Green Bearets and Carrie, a human who seeks his help. As Jarvis helps Carrie and they get to know each other, the attraction between them grows. But with a misunderstanding confusing the situation and danger not far away, will they get their chance at love or will it be too late? Another great book to add to this intriguing series, with a exciting and entertaining storyline. I loved the characters who were really sweet and they had good chemistry. I think that as this series goes on, the books definitely get better. So overall a very enjoyable read.
Title: Green Bearets: Jarvis Series: Base Camp Bears #3 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Amelia Jade Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PRN #BearShifters #4Stars☆☆☆☆ ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This author writing is amazing for this series. I really like her imagination, her talent, her characters just fit perfectly and that's what I love about books when they all fit together. Charlotte Marie Suter - But goes by Carrie aka: Car needed help she had to go to the officer in charge she didn't know what else to do plus she was scared what was she going to do, finally went to tell them. The officer in charge, decided to help her Thank God she knew she couldn't do anything herself. Carrie had to live with her sister, no way could she live in her own house, these people just walked into her house took Angelo and left. He was missing. Major Jarvis Eidelhorn is in charge of the Cadia Green Bearets who have taken back the town of Cloud Lake from the Fenris Shifters. They lost a lot of men in the mine tunnels good shifters, now they were waiting they needed more recruits. While trying to figure out his objective for recruits the most breath taking women he's ever seen in all his years just walked right into his office, she needed his help. Going to her house to look for clues the Commandant came checking his progress and waiting to tell him that he had good and bad news the good news he was getting some RAF or Ragin Air Fillies yep they were all women who flew. Can he handle the bad news? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
This is a new paranormal author for me. One of the best ways to read a series is with a box set. Great storyline and especially loved reading the intrigue involving Cloud Lake. Love that Jarvis got out of his head and was able to fall for Carrie. Love Carrie's spunkiness and not backing down from Jarvis' preconceived notions. The two of them together are hot and sexy. Can't wait for the next installment of Base Camp Bears.
Carrie's ex boyfriend Angelo is kidnapped from her home. She goes to talk to the Green Bearets leader who happens to be Jarvis. She explains what has happened and he goes to check the home. He realizes Carrie is his mate but doesn't pursue her because he thinks Angelo is still in the picture. There is evil afoot.
Another awesome book revolving around Cadia. This one is a major hot on the trails book involving their own leader Jarvis. Can they stop an attack before it strikes, will he win the girl? You need to read to find out
Amelia Jade is one of my go to authors and this series is one of the reasons why. Green Bearets: Jarvis is a wonderful contribution to this excellent series. You'll find yourself smiling throughout the book at the interaction of these characters as the war with Fenris heats up along with their passion. Together, they face a deadly plot that would ensure the demise of thousands and cripple Cadia. Not to be missed.
Jarvis and Carrie's story was much better then the first two in my opinion. I liked that the heavy passionate scenes were not lumped into one. This story flowed much better. There were several errors though someone needs to check this for this author. The plot of the story was much better as well. Jarvis is a high-ranking officer in the Green Bearets and Carrie is a human who seeks him out for help in locating someone.
Green Bearets: Jarvis is book 3 of the Green Bearets. This was an awesome story and well written. I love all the book from this series. It started off with action and ended with action and an awesome ever after. Very cool Paranormal Shifter Romance Book would recommend to anyone that loves to read this kind of genres.
The Fenris shifters find every way to come at them more and more. Her ex was all stupid, thought just because he was turned he was super villain. Oh well he is literally burning in hell.
Another outstanding story set in Ms. Jade's shifter world. There is a lovely romance between bear shifter Jarvis and human Carrie and the mystery of why Carrie's ex was kidnapped in the middle of the night. Add in some political suspense between the two shifter groups, introduce some unusual shifters, and a battle at the power plant and you have a page-turner of a book. Jarvis and Carrie's story is resolved but there are possibilities for future stories - involving Pegasi maybe? I can't wait to find out. I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.
I was hoping the Major that the heros of book one and two looked up to would get his own story and my hope was fulfilled!! Javis and Carrie's story was awesome!! Javis' moral compass made me say "Awe!!" a lot and Carrie handled it like a pro! Elsewhere the Cadia Fenris war took an interesting turn & I am definitely intrigued to see where it goes. PS I loved the introduction of the Pegasus shifters!!
This is an extremely exciting and adventurous book. I love the Cadia shifters and how protective they are of everyone. The sex scenes are to die for and the action is nerve wracking. I loved it!
This story flowed well with a very good plot and two likeable main characters. Our sexy Major gets a mate that is nearly as tough as he is. Carrie goes to see the Cadian shifters to report a disappearance and meets the hunky Major Eidelhorn. Due to miscommunication and/or lack of communication, they dance around each other until Carrie’s sister Andrea twigs why the hunky major is blowing hot and cold towards Carrie. I really enjoyed this story and am wondering what is going on in Fenris. Is there a coup or something going on because they seem to be getting even more desperate in their actions? I won’t say what goes on but it was dastardly and will the human authorities be able to deal with Fenris or is more going on than we know? This is my honest review of this book.
When Carrie goes to report a missing person she doesn't expect the instant attraction to the man in charge. Jarvis is quite taken with Carrie and looks into her case personally and is surprised by the strange turn of events. Their attraction grows as the danger level increases and Jarvis will do everything to protect Carrie.
Cadia is still at war with Fenris but the battle is not on either shifters homeland. Cloud Lake seems to be the battle ground most fought upon.
The author has continue the Cadia War storyline by shifting to the Green Bearets of Cadia and their Camp Base. Jarvis and Carrie are interesting characters as they have nothing in common but the author makes them work well together. The plot in this particular story is well written and with just enough conniving sneakiness to keep the reader interested.
This book is about an hour and half read but well worth it.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC received from the author.
This was an interesting book. I liked Jarvis and Carrie both. The chemistry between them was great, and they made a great couple. There were a few things that bothered me in the book, but overall I did like it and was happy with the ending, and seeing them get their HEA. I was gifted a copy.
Carrie and Jarvis start out rough. But getting to know the truth of Carries relationship and Jarvis realizing she is his true mate, things get better as they work together to save Cloud Lake and Cadia
I am absolutely loving this series! Amelia Jade weaves a story so well, and each book enhances the overall plot of the series. Each book, however, can be read as a stand-alone. Jarvis and Carrie both have an air of vulnerability about them, even though they are both strong and independent when it comes to careers. They struggle to try and come through adversity unscathed. Will they succeed? I highly recommend you read to find out! I received a free copy of this book but voluntarily chose to leave a review.
