Fated Mate Galactic Scifi Romance Military Romance Book 2 by Mandy M. Roth
A superb addition to a wonderful series. Loved every bit of it!

On the Interstellar Commission ship we have at least two who are in hiding: Dr. Marisa Langston one of the ship's medical officers, and Bradi Janelle, a Lieutenant. Marisa is engaged to Commander Peter, Bradi's best friend. Her position as physician makes it fairly easy to hide that she is not entirely human and has the power to heal. She is also aware that others fudge their medical data, but she lets them slip by. One of these is Lieutenant Bradi Janelle. She has no valid blood work on him, but does get to harass him and give him his annual shots. Although she is engaged to Peter, she has almost nighty fantasies about Bradi. Peter and she are to be married when they reach the Commission planet of Margaida. They are nearing the planet when their ship is irreparably damaged and 75% of the crew was immediately killed. Bradi gets his best friend to an escape POD which already has a young recruit in it. Bradi tells the recruit to wait as he must get the doctor and return. When he returns he finds that the young recruit did not wait and their POD is gone. Bradi finds another POD for Marisa and himself. Instead of going to Margaida as should be programmed into the POD, the POD overshoots and lands at Sargaida, his home world. The landing placed them a long way from safety.

This is the start of the adventures, secrets, terror, mysteries, and of course hot passionate sex, and an HEA. We meet again members of the Janelle family and Seven and his twin, Jordan.
I loved this addition to the series and have Jordan and Nina's story ready to read. FIVE well-earned stars from me. I received this book as an ARC and the opinions expressed are my own.

Fantastic story about shifters finding their fated mates

Bradi is a panther shifter who used to reside on his home planet before his father sent him away. He fell in love with Marissa the first time he saw her. The spaceship they were on with sabotage and everybody had to leave in life pods. He and Marissa made love that day thinking that Maurice's fiance was dead.

Bradi was too cowardly to tell Marissa that you was pregnant and that he was the father. Also on their world there's a vampire who is trying to destroy Bradi"s family. Will they be safe from the vampire?

This is a fast-paced plot and the villain is very evil, thinking only of himself and world domination. The characters are unique, funny, and very dramatic. I truthfully felt frustrated when it seems like Bradi what is being so stubborn and not telling Marissa about the baby.

This book is an enjoyable read and highly recommended. It goes more in-depth with some of the characters from the earlier book as well as this book. I'm looking forward to reading the next one.

Stuck in a tiny escape pod with the man who drives you nuts and makes you hot while you're engaged to someone else.

That is Dr. Marisa Langston's problem. Then there's Lt Commander Bradi Janelle. He has wanted her since the first time he saw her. Problem: her fiance is his best friend. Each of them has much more to hide than their feelings.

The planet they land on has some surprises for them. Check out the inhabits and dangers that await them.

Ms. Roth puts our cocky, hot, Bradi in some close calls. His reactions run the gamut from adorable to frightening. Tiny Marisa has some quick moves of her own and isn't afraid to swat the big bad soldier. He's even smart enough to pretend it hurts. I love their banter and their fight to stay apart. Despite that effort, there is plenty of steam.

Each story in the series stands alone, however, it's always best to read in order. Enjoy this smart, action-packed, touching story with unforgettable characters. A solid recommend.

This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

These books to me our little team. And this one Paul and Alan are on vacation they come home for a couple of weeks. Paul and Alan are like brothers have been raised his brothers. Call parents were the alphas of the wolves but they were killed and everybody was waiting for Paul to take over but he became a Navy seal and I love the adventure. Lori has been waiting for Paul to say he was going to stay home for good and become alpha.. she knows he is her mate.. know he just needs to know. 😜

Slightly annoying

Ok. Both Bradi and Marisa would never actually talk. They just made wrong assumptions all the time! They hurt each other with words and actions. At one point Bradi didn't even try to protect her. I realize they were afraid to tell each other secrets but they carried them too long. Is Stegian changing sides? Does he need healing?

Doctor Marisa Langston has got a secret she's been keeping from everyone especially her fiancée but when she meets her fiancée's friend Lt. Commander Bradi Janelle she feels something for him...they have a strange reaction to each other. One minute hates Bradi the next...
Bradi wants Marisa from the moment he sees her however she's already engaged to his friend but when an asteroid hits the ship......

Bradi: Paranormal Shifter Fated Mate Galactic Scifi Romance Bradi: Paranormal Shifter Fated Mate Galactic SciFi Military Romance Mandy M. RothMandy M Roth

Reviewed by SFF Dragon*

Steamy paranormal sci-fi romance, action and humour. A coming home in more ways than one and a terrific HEA. Give me more...

An important note for Amazon US readers: This review will not appear as a verified purchase on the US site because I bought the book from Amazon UK.

Mandy Roth is one of my all-time favourite authors and I've been reading her terrific books for well over a decade. Over the years I've bought pretty much everything she's ever written under assorted pen names and I've never been disappointed. Always humorous and action packed with strong, hunkalicious heroes and the terrific, feisty, kick-ass heroines they love, tons of sizzle and a happily ever after, this one also has paranormal and sci-fi romance, magic, mayhem and a couple of lead characters so busy trying not to reveal their true selves, despite all the obvious clues, that they almost lose everything.

'Bradi', the newly released second book in the Interstellar Alphas series has been expanded, re-written, re-edited and has a shiny new cover since I first bought and read it a few years ago when it was 'Force of Attraction', book two of the Project Exorcism series. I love this book, it's a really great addition to the series and I really didn't want to put it down, then or now. I was hooked from beginning to end and would really like to give it more than the 5 stars allowed here. Maybe Amazon could add a rating for the books you'd rescue if your house was burning down, and for me, this one is on that list.

The year is 2206, a hundred and fifty years after the end of the war on Earth between humans and supernaturals. In order to save lives, the supernaturals decided to give up and as part of the treaty with The Commission, Earth's ruling body, they would leave Earth in five ships. Having been caught in a meteor storm soon after take-off, it was believed that four of the ships had perished as only one reached it's pre-determined destination. How wrong can you be? At least one other ship survived and crash landed on Sargaidia, setting the scene for this fantastic series.

I could go on and on about this book, but I'm not going to give any spoilers, and this is definitely a book you should read. This sci-fi paranormal romance tells a complicated and sometimes tortuous tale of true mates Marisa, the not quite human ship's second doctor and were panther Bradi, third officer of the ship that Marisa and her fiancé, Peter, second in command, are going to their new home on. They will marry as soon as they arrive, but the ship is badly damaged before they get there and the escape pods miss their pre-programmed destination and end up on Bradi's home planet of Sargaidia instead. There are some serious ups and downs in this story, as well as lots of action, bad guys to fight, steamy bits and a HEA. Thankfully, it's for Bradi and Marisa... huge sigh of relief because there was just something about Peter that made me dislike him from his first appearance.

I love Mandy Roth's books and this series is something special for fans of all SF/F genres. It has shape shifters of different kinds, all sorts of special powers and a major league bad guy in the shape of a vampire with delusions of Universe domination and who has a few 'Hags' of the Macbeth variety to do his dirty work, although as I was reading it again, they struck me as more reminiscent of the ones in the Marc Singer movie 'The Beastmaster'. Every book can be read as a stand alone and has it's own HEA, but I think you would get more out of the books if you read them in order. I can't wait for the next one.

This is the 2nd book in the Project Exorcism series. It is said to be a stand alone as there is no cliffhanger, but I thoroughly recommend that you read in series order, as characters from previous books make appearances and 1- you might not know who they are or their position and 2 it can create spoilers to the previous books you may have not read.

Mandy M Roth has the knack to capture you from the word go with her books, she gets you hook line and sinker, dragging you into the story with the characters. This book is no different to her others as for being action packed from the off, great humour all the way through and an amazing story line. I found I couldn't put the book down and had to read it in 1 go. This book like all the others I have read of this author deserve more than the 5 stars I can give. I really do recommend you start reading this series.

Marisa Langston is a doctor working the infirmary on board a Commission Ship, heading into space to a new start in life with an engagement ring on her finger from the ships commander Peter she should be the happiest woman alive, but she's not. 1st off Marisa is not ready for the type of commitment a marriage makes and 2nd Peter's best friend and his Lt.Commander, Bradi Janelle, she can't stand the man he grates on her every nerve, but seems to set her body on fire with lustful thoughts of him all the time, especially when alone at night.

Bradi Janelle a black panther shifter hiding from the commission from within the commission. Banished from his home planet by his father, he and his panther are drawn to 1 woman drawn to her unlike any woman before, but there was a problem, she was engaged to his best friend Peter and Bradi was not going to step on any toes even if it is for the woman who thinks could be his 1 true mate.
But when someone sabotages the ship Bradi and Marisa find themselves stuck together in very close quarters in an escape pod, it takes everything in Bradi not to claim her. Its only when he finds the doc cold and not responding he strips them both down and brings up his own temp to warm her but what he gets is the last thing he would exspect from her, Marisa started grinding herself against him so thinking she had come round and was wanting him as much as he wants her he looses his last thread of self control and makes love and claims the woman who holds his heart.
Missing the planet the pod was supposed to land on and heading for the next, Bradi's stomach drops even more when he realises they're heading for the 1 last place in all the galaxies he didn't want to return to. Home. Once they make landfall Bradi's tight reign on his controlled life is falling apart. Not only does Bradi have to protect his now mate from the evils that lurk on his planet, he also is keeping more than 1 secret from Marisa.

The story has been fast paced already so far but now they have landed the fun really begins and the action really kicks into high gear, with even more humour, secrets being unveiled, romance, fight scenes, and hot sexual encounters.

If you love strong, dark, dangerously handsome alpha male leads with stubborn headstrong female lead, your PNR's with HEA's, then this book is for you.

Review for FORCE OF ATTRACTION
I received this as a gift for an honest review
Dr. Marissa Langston is one of the medical crew aboard the space vehicle they are on. She is engaged to the Commander, Peter, but has long yearned for more from Bradi Janelle. He too is an assistant Commander on board and is always trying to get her to let go, even though she is engaged to his best friend. When the ship is sabotaged, Peter is injured and placed in an escape pod. Before Bradi can even rescue Marissa and get her to the pod, it takes off without them..Bradi goes after Marissa to get her off the ship too, but finds her injured also. They get into the rescue pod, leave the damaged vehicle and head for Margaidia, a nearby planet. But something has damaged the navigation system and they end up going to Bradi’s home planet of Sargaidia. On the way, Bradi gives his body warmth to Marissa, who is slowly freezing. That leads to complications neither ever expected. They end up making love and Bradi is shocked to learn that Marissa has never been with a man. It also means that they are now mated, something Bradi knew about Marissa from his first meeting with her. It seems Bradi is a shifter, something his superiors can never know about. When they finally land, it is in a hostile environment and Bradi does his best to protect Marissa without revealing the fact he is a shifter…they are not accepted by humans at all. He knows if Marissa ever finds out , she will hate him. What he doesn’t know, is she has a secret of her own that he has yet to discover. They are finally rescued by his family who has long thought him dead and is now perceived as an enemy, until circumstances show otherwise. Bradi does his best to avoid Marissa, knowing they are mates, and fights his attraction to her until forced to face the truth about his feelings. When he does a partial shift in front of her, he is sure she will reject him now. Again, he is proven wrong, but now he has to tell her they are mated and that she is also pregnant. Getting past that rather quickly, both are blindsided when Peter, her fiancé, shows up to marry her. Marissa now learns the truth about Peter and tells Bradi she has no intention of leaving him because she loves him. It would seem that all is well now, but an evil vampire named Stegian, has other plans. Will they be able to save Marissa and the baby that Stegian is determined to destroy or will Bradi lose all he loves at the hands of the veil that threatens them??

Who am I kidding? I can’t keep my eyes off him.

Force of Attraction indeed! And what a force it is! Whew!! Now THIS is a force to reckon with! :) I abso-fraken-lutely LOVED this book! Mandy has truly outdone herself. There is so much in here that make this story so PAWFECT - humor, intrigue, love, mystery, romance, suspense, secrets, hotness, etc. just to give you a hint of what to expect. I have to admit that I was surprised at how this story played out. Things happened when I wasn't expecting it, when I was sure something was going to happen, it didn't and then some things did happen that blew me away! One of the things I love about shifters is their relationship to their animal - how they communicate with each other, the personalities of each 'half', etc. Well add in a third ... ahem... 'entity' and oh my word! I was howling with laughter at Bradi talking to his... smaller Bradi!! Definitely cannot call it 'little' Bradi, that's for sure!! *naughty grin & wink* Mandy ALWAYS has that special & FURRIFIC way with giving her characters personalities that draw you in right away, making them seem so real that before you can blink you are sunk so deep into the story that you become the characters, feeling & experiencing right along with them, living their lives & story as if it is your life! And Man oh MAN I wish that I was living my life with Bradi as my mate (and that dream has nothing to do with 'smaller' Bradi! Honest! *smiles innocently while trying to find my fallen halo* Of course Mandy is also PAWESOME at creating FANGTASTIC storylines, adding both richness & depth to her stories with great plots, descriptions that enable you to picture everything from people to planets to scenery to LIVE THE WHOLE STORY as it plays out! Even after reading quite a few of Mandy's books, she still takes my breath away and captivates me just like she did with my very first Mandy experience – her Daughter of Darkness series! She is ALWAYS able to amaze, surprise, entertain, captivate & mesmerize me even after all of this time. There aren't very many authors that can successfully pen such an assortment, such a variety of books and do it so FANTABULOUSLY and with such PANACHE! In fact, you could say that it is all so MANDYRRIFIC!!!! Therefore, in my humble opinion, everything I have mentioned above, along with everything I haven't, proves just how phenomenally talented she truly is!

Another fantastic book from Mandy Roth. I couldn't put it down and can't wait for another story in this series.

'Force of Attraction' is the second book in the Project Exorcism series by Mandy Roth, which I actually bought in March but hadn't had time to read. Mandy has blended my two favorite genres into one sexy read. This is a paranormal romance with sexy shifters set on a faraway planet in the future.

Due to unpredictable circumstances Dr. Marissa Langston has found herself fleeing the ship taking her to her new home in an escape pod with her fiancées best friend, the man she can’t stop thinking about even though she should. Bradi has been attracted to Marissa from the moment his best friend Peter introduced him to her. He knows that with their engagement he can’t act on his desires. Bradi does what he feels is the next best, completely harmless thing, flirts. Bradi and Marissa’s constant flirting is entertaining, possibly my favorite aspect of this book.

Bradi soon finds himself on his home planet, where he was banished from years before. Bradi’s tightly controlled life is beginning to spin out of control. He has secrets, many that he knows will turn Marissa against him. Now he not only needs to protect her from the dangers of this mostly unknown planet, but keep his secrets hidden from her.

The plots dramatics do have a tendency of going dangerously close to overboard. There is an abundance of some soap operaish drama. I personally think this adds to Force of Attraction’s charm. Book #2 in the Project Exorcism series can easily be read as a stand-alone. The characters from the 1st book are in this one, but they have small roles. A small Project Exorcism history is even included at the beginning of the book. I think that if you were considering reading this series you could start out with either book and not get lost. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading sci fi romance or paranormal romance who is looking for a light fun sexy space romp with sexy shifters.

Title: FORCE OF ATTRACTION
Series: Project Exorcism #2
Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance, SciFi
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Received from: Mandy M. Roth (in exchange for an honest review)
Grammar/editing: A – near perfect

This is the second book in the Project Exorcism series. Each does stand alone, but I would recommend reading both and in order.

I am in love with Bradi. For the sake of friendship, he suppresses his desire for his mate, Marisa, because she is already engaged to his best friend, Peter. Bradi is committed and completely in love, but he is self-sacrificing and generous. Their relationship is a fantastic combination of snark, lust, love, and fun. Altogether, I would call this a very charming read and I am so glad I had the opportunity to make this part of my week.

Mandy M. Roth never fails to provide engaging characters, both good and bad guys, and as always I don’t want the good time to end when the story is finished. I look forward to getting my hands on book 3, POINT OF NO RETURN, because I know that it will include catching us up on the lives of Bradi, Marisa, Lorelei, Sevan, Jordan, and Nina. I hope Christian soon finds his other half as well. He’s too nice to be left alone. I even want Stegian to find the woman who will soften him!

We have the second book in the Project Exorcism series and it is amazing. You do not have to read the series in order but I highly recommend doing so in order to prevent spoilers for the previous book. Dr Marisa Langston is on a Commission ship with her fiance. She is a healer and has never slept with her soon to be husband for fear of him rejecting her special gifts. Lt. Commander Bradi Janelle, is the twin brother of the heroine from the previous story. He is a panther shifter on a Commission ship and is very interested in his best friend's fiance Marisa. They are both on the same ship and are attracted to each other, much to their mutual dismay. There is a ship wide emergency that makes them abandon ship and think their best friend/fiance is dead. The escape pod they are in takes them to Bradi's home world but on the journey over something happens and they end up married (don't want to give away too many spoilers). You would think once they land on his home world everything would be good for Bradi and Marisa but that is when the fun truly begins. They are both trying to hide their secrets from each other in fear of being rejected. Only to find out when they come in to play they had nothing to fear. There is action, drama and romance. I loved this story from start to finish and did not want to put it down.

Stuck in a tiny escape pod with the man who drives you nuts and makes you hot while you're engaged to someone else...

That is Dr. Marisa Langston. Lt Commander Bradi Janelle, has a similar problem. He has wanted her since the first time he saw her. Problem is she is engaged to is his best friend. Each of them have much more to hide than their feelings.

You will have to read to find out where they land, who inhabits the planet and what other dangers await them.

Ms. Roth puts our cocky, hot, Bradi in some close calls, and his reactions run the gamut from adorable to frightening. Tiny Marisa has some quick moves of her own and isn't afraid to swat the big bad soldier--he's even smart enough to pretend it hurts. I love their banter, their fight to stay apart and if I tell say steam you gonna know he does make some headway, but there is plenty of steam.

I have read three of the stories and this one I read out of order, so yes they are stand alone, but with other characters reading them in order is best. I have one left to read and am headed their now. Enjoy this smart, action packed, touching story with unforgettable characters. A solid recommend.

Don't let the series title put you off, as described in the foreword, Project Exorcism refers to the exile by humans of all shifters, sorcerers, vampires and the like from planet Earth, shipped off to a galaxy far away, and this series is set some centuries after that event. (No exorcism). A few however remained, mostly those with minimal, latent supernatural powers, and their descendants have managed to thrive by hiding their abilities. Doctor Marisa Langston, medical officer on a space exploration vessel, is one such person, careful to hide her true nature from her fellow crew - including her new fiance. When dangerous circumstances throw her together with Lieutenant Commander Bradi Janelle, her fiance's best friend, a man with whom she invariably argues, she seems powerless to understand and avert their growing attraction. Sparks fly. Recommended

Switching to one of Lorelei's banished brothers, Book #2 deepens the storyline and gives me hope that all 7 of the siblings will get their own story. Hiding his true nature has become second nature to Bradi Janelle. So, what's a shifter to do when a freak accident onboard his ship forces him into close proximity with his best friend's fiancee (in an ESCAPE POD! LOVE!), a woman he's insanely attracted to and who has her own secrets? To make matters worse, their escape pod has been forced off course and they're about to crash land on his home planet. The planet he was banished from 12 years before. Let's face it, I love sci-fi and I love shifters. This is like a chocolate rainbow with a pot of jellybeans at the end.

Dr. Marisa Langston Is more than what she seems. Which is dangerous in a world where different is feared and destroyed. She's on her way to a "normal" life, but her attraction to Bradi keeps getting in the way.

Bradi isn't looking for a mate. He doesn't even think it's an option. But when disaster strikes and he's stuck in a POD with Dr. Langston, his best friends fiance whom he has wanted since he laid eyes on her, having a mate doesn't seem so bad.

Action packed, full of adventure, revealed secrets, hot alpha shifters, and strong women this book is a treasure. It's part of a series, but each book works great on its own

Bradi and Marisa, the two main characters of Force of Attraction, have an interesting love story. As is the case with all the Janelles, their relationship is rocky and complicated. I really liked the complexity of the story and Bradi's internal struggle, even if I wanted to smack some sense into him. I've really enjoyed all the Project Exorcism books, and this is another really good one.

Fate’s intervention
Since the moment Lt. Commander Bradi’s best friend (Commander Peter Williams) introduced his fiancé Doctor Marisa Langston) to him, Bradi was lost. He was in love with her from that very first moment. But had to keep it to himself.
While on their way to Margaidia because of Peter getting a new position and galaxy relocation, something happens to their ship. Escape pods saving those that were still left. And Marisa and Bradi getting stuck in one together, alone, both thinking Peter is dead.
But the pod malfunctions and send them to Sargidia, now the home of the evil vampire Stegian.
This story has lots of action, adventure, romance and so much more.
Well written and very entertaining to read.

Absolutely brilliant.

Bradi is the brother of Lorelei from the book Sevan. It was really great finding out that at least on of the brothers are alive (I hope the others are too).

I found the "sexual tension" between Bradi and Doc to be quite titillating.

I'm glad that there wasn't a long drawn out period where they just can't seem to get together. Doc was very decisive in that she loved him no matter what, it just took his him a while to get his head wrapped around it.

I also liked that we saw a hint of the different 'person' Stegian could be.

I loved it! Wonderfully written, as are all the books I've read by Mandy Roth, but this one really surprised me. I started it with the attitude that I wouldn't like it, mostly because it's not the type of book I typically read, but I quickly changed my mind. I love how past characters are included in the new books in the series in such a way as to remind you of who they are, but without being too wordy or taking away from the currant ones.

I loved re-reading this and it was far better than the first edition (Force of Attraction. Project Exorcism series) As this is the new extended version.

Bradi Janelle was forced to leave his home planet by his family. Now a Lt Commander with the Commission, he not only has to hide his true self from them because being Werepanther in the commission will get you killed, he also has to hide his feeling to the one woman who has captured his heart from day one of meeting her, why?, she's marrying his best friend Peter, plus she thinks he's a jerk.

Now the pair find themselves stuck together in an escape pod, hoping that they will reach the rendezvous planet quick for different reasons. But things start to go wrong, firstly to Bradi waking up and finding Marisa cold with blue lips so he strips them both down to bare skin to warm her and things start to take a turn between the two. He then finds the systems freezing up and having passed the rendezvous planet they are now heading for the last place in the whole system Bradi wanted to be. Home.

This book is explosive from the beginning to the very end I definitely recommend you read this, it certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting more.
The chemistry between these two is always intense whether it's Bradi dropping sexual innuendo's and jokes with Marisa snapping back at him to their explosive sexual tension and encounters they share.
If you love your PNR with its pig headed alpha's and their stubborn headstrong heroine, laugh aloud moments, sexual encounters, flight scenes and most important the HEA. Mandy M Roth has definitely outdone herself with this extended version, it is part of a series so I would recommend that you read in series order and start with 'Sevan'. If I could give more than five stars allowed I certainly would have.

Lieutenant Commander Bradi Janelle was never looking for a mate to most he seem a real ladies man.The problem was Bradi wants one woman the only woman he couldn't have the only woman he couldn't get he's best friend Peter's fiancee Doctor Marisa Langston. Bradi is due for a checkup and the one to see his is the last person he wants to be near right now ,Marisa. The checkup becomes eventful with a lot of taunting and teasing between the two. A dreadful event happen aboard the spaceship leaving most of the crew either dead or badly hurt. All aboard that are left able have to leave and assist all survivors Via escape pods. In a rush to leave Bradi and Marisa are the last to leave having to share a pod in hopes to get to safety. But things don't go as planned ,the course set for arrival is not what is planned neither are the events that happen to and when they get there, not by a long shot .Ever here the saying you can never go home .......well I guess in some cases they are wrong .Yes the past does come back to haunt you but not in the way you think. And love all ways wins in the end which is why I don't want to give to much away.

I received a copy of this story in return for an honest review.

I really enjoy Ms. Roth's writing and Bradi's story is no exception. Bradi is a strong male character who needs a strong female counterpart. And Ms. Roth gives him one in Marisa. I loved seeing Bradi and Marisa find their way in spite of the obstacles to their happily ever after. Marisa doesn't allow Bradi to get away with much and Bradi struggles to see that Marisa can be his. This story is well written and the characters are full of emotional depth. I loved seeing their journey and hope to see more from this world from Ms. Roth.
