Bill Myers was born into a Christian home, and although as a child he became bored with Christianity, he decided at the University of Washington quote, to "make God my boss." Ironically, at the University his worst subject was writing. He claims to have prayed, and said that he would be able to do anything for God, except write. Even so, he has become a prominent Christian writer, and has a large amount of successful books and films to his credit.
This was a great read. It was hard to put down. I really like the way each author writes about the story from their own character's viewpoint. I can't wait to read the next book!!
Chad will exasperate you in the 2nd book, but Angela Hunt leaves him somewhat speechless in the 3rd book and he is downright likeable in the 4th book. The last story gets you really excited for Cycle 5. I sure do miss the Professor...
This is a great book. When good authors create together the result is wonderful. Each of these offerings can be bought individually but I was fortunate enough to start with the first cycle of the Harbingers and it's been a great experience so far.
It feels a bit like they are struggling to figure out how to close out his series. But that bit aside, this was probably my favorite cycle in the series so far.
A great series of novellas. I am a slow reader, so it’s nice to be able to finish each “episode” in a few short sittings. That’s what these Harbinger novellas are to me, episodes in an exciting & thought provoking production that I wish was on TV. I have looked to see what each of the authors have to offer for further reading.
I love this concept of linked mini novels, but most of have been captivated by the concepts, gripping writing and an incredible blend of apocalyptic fiction with a strain of critical truth flowing through it. Bring on the next one!
