Dash and Lexi have been planning their Seaside wedding for months, and the closer the date gets, the more it looks like this marriage will never happen.
FIRST COMES LOVE THEN COMES MARRIAGE?
They had a deal. Get married, have another kid. But Dash is convinced Lexi isn't feeling it. She's working 60 hour weeks at RiffRaff Records, and - if you can believe this - she's avoiding him. Plus the family is going crazy. Dylan's pregnant, Smith's a wreck, Luke and Lo have become moguls and Jacks...well, Jacks is Jacks. Then things get really dicey and the wedding is postponed. Hey! What happened to Dash's happy-ever-after? Worried? Don't be. The Devil's Share women got this.
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, daughter, 3 rescue dogs, 1 cat, and one bunny (that doesn't seem to like us). I love reading romance novels as much as I love writing them. I feel like inspiration can come from anywhere; a song lyric, a quote, a weekend with friends. The tiniest things can spark amazing stories.
Pure fan pandering to finish the story, which I appreciate so so so much, but shouldn’t need to be it’s own book. DS series was great but a little sloppy. Very glad LPM figured her arcs out for RR series.
Really enjoyed this book. I know we are going to get more from L P Maxa but I don't want to see the end of these amazing characters. You get so into the characters they almost seem real, and to myself that is an awesome thing. This author draws you in and just captures you in these lives. My heart aches to see the end. This book was done in every POV from each character from all of her books and loved it. It was like revisiting everyone and was done brilliantly. The drunken tattoo scene in this book was soooooo freaking hilarious. Just really everyone whom loves RockStar genre of books needs to check this series out. And my last statement is this....... We're going to the chapel and we're going to get married...........did you sing that line??? I sure did while typing it lol!! Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis
A TEN in my book. I didn't want this Series to end
Dash/Lexie, Smith/Dylan, Jacks/Bryan, and Luke/Harlow - Family. I am new to L.P. Maxa's writing but I can assure you she has become one of my favorites. Ms Maxa's writing flows like the lyrics of a song. She made me fall in love with this family of friends. Unlike most series, she kept all the characters together and as the reader I completely enjoyed watching them grow and evolve into rich, warm, loving, fun characters. At times, it was hard to remember these were fictional characters and not people living in another state that I truly wanted to hunt down and meet. Well done Ms Maxa! I look forward to your future endeavors. Happy Reading!
I just loved this book hardcore.. and as much as I loved it I didn't want it to end.. but I just know we will see all the Devil's Share and the women who bring them all together again.. I was turned on the LP Maxa from a very good friend and fellow blogger Amy Halter. While this book is mainly centered on the whole planning of a wedding for Dash & Lexi.. We get to see the entire Devil's Share family. Dash has concerns.. Does Lexi want to get married.. with her new position at Riffraff.. she just seems a little to pre-occupied.. plus taking care of a little one.. and life in general just getting in the way.. but don't fret.. it will all work out in the end.. OR WILL IT..? LOL.. Thank you for the amazing series!!
What a great way to wrap up this series. I have absolutely loved each book. It is so hard to find a rock star romance that is not weighed down with super heavy material. But this series has stood out as a fun outcast within the trope. However, there is just enough drama and real topics to make the storylines seem too fluffy.
All in all, this book was a great way to bring back all of the characters we fell in love with. I smiled multiple times while devouring this story due to its wit and banter. I can't wait to read the next spin-off series, hopefully some of these characters will make an appearance.
This is a short story but it needed to be told. It ties all lose ends and adds a few more kids to the already large group of people. It Lexi and Dash’s wedding. You also get to catch up with Dylan and Smith and the birth of their daughter Evie. Luke and Harlow have a surprise to share. Jacks, Bryan and Landry also have a surprise by the name of Beau. I can’t wait to read about these kids in the next Series RiffRaff Records. I recommend this series highly.
I just finished reading this series and I had so much fun with it. Loved the brotherhood, friendship and all the drama. THUMBS-UP for L.P. Maxa. I'm all excited to start next series Riffraff Records, hoping for glimpse of the life of my favorite characters ..FUN
I loved everything about this series! Every character stole my heart. I'm sad that it's over but I look forward to what LP Maxa has in store for us....
This is a must read series, I loved each and every book, At the end there's a sneak peak into the next book which i can't wait to read. Please read this series it's so good.
Loved Devils Share from the very first book and this one takes us full circle - Dash & Lexi are getting married finally ?? Seems Dash doesn't think so as Lexi's new position at RiffRaff Records has all her attention, plus that of their year old daughter. LP Maxa takes everyone in the band and all their significant others and wraps them up with a nice big bow - I had this book for what seemed like forever and hated to say goodbye to Dash, Jacks, Smith & Luke - but this isn't really goodbye - it's tune in for the next generation and I can't wait
This was the cherry on top of the sundae or the cherry at the bottom of a Fireball shot... Either way this conclusion of the rock family we all know and love was spot on. The family grew, demons were put to rest, and the toast of the century was made in honor of the two the started it all Lexi and Dash.
I'm so sad to say goodbye to the Devil's Share. I absolutely loved this series. I was a little bit disappointed with this book though. As with all LP's books, I feel they're way too short! I think it showed here. I felt things were rushed and we missed seeing a lot of really big moments. I also found it a bit confusing with the constant switching of POVs. It was still a great though and I loved the sneak peek of Mason's book. I can't wait for that!
I love my Devil's Share men and women! That this book included each of their points of view was icing on the cake. L.P.Maxa hit it out of the park! A perfect finale for one of my favorite all-time series. I'm going to miss them, but am definitely looking forward to whatever comes next from this author.
This was the perfect conclusion to the Devil's Share series. In this book you do not just get one of the characters you get all of them! The roadtrip and unexpected surprises left me on the edge of my seat. Loved everything about it! Sad to see my guys go.
It was so nice to see what happens with everyone. Lexi and Dash (and family) have been some of my favorites from the start. Looking forward to all that comes next!
It was awesome to revisit all the couples and see how they're doing! This series is one of my favorites of all genres. They're all must reads for everyone!
First off I was honored to receive an arc of Playing for Keeps. L.P. Maxa is a brilliant author. I have read each book in this series and each one surpasses the last. To keep all the characters in order in all the books remarkable feat. I feel as if I could pick up any this series and read it as a stand alone with how well L.P. tells the story. Now onto the book Play for Keeps. Well lets just say Dash and Lexi own this book however you find more out about the family. Dash is trying to get Lexi to say I Do but everything comes up or gets in the way... Will Dash have his HEA? Grab your copy today and find out. I just love how L.P.'s characters come to life. One can easily place themselves in the scene and make them feel like they are right there. Books must have 4 elements to be good. They must make you laugh, cry, want to throw them and lastly not want to put them down until that last page is turned. Playing for Keeps captured all 4 elements and then some. I highly recommend this book and the series to everyone.

I promised myself when I one clicked this book that I would pace myself. Did that happen? NOPE. I devoured this book within two hours. I adore Dash, Lexi and the gang. I enjoyed catching up with them. I loved that the relationships and friendships are unbreakable. Not only do they all love one another, they all have massive hearts. I don’t want to spoil this book for anyone but for an example I will say two words/names; Beau & Creek. I adored every single thing about this book. I liked seeing Dash’s softer side, Lexi’s need to prove herself & Smith becoming a parent. Lets not forget Jacks and Bryan’s newfound family & Luke’s love for Harlow. You get a bit of everything. A point of view from everyone. I was in stitches at the drunken scene and Jacks meeting Beau melted my heart. I can honestly say that this book is the perfect ending for a series that has stole a piece of my heart. I highly recommend reading this series. It is one my all time favourite series. Not only do you get to see love blossom but also unbreakable friendships. Hard times, good times and hilarious moments. This series is heart-warmingly delicious. I am sad that it has come to an end but I look forward to more books from LP Maxa. After reading the sneak peek from Royalty, I am itching to get my hands on it! I want to read more about Mason. One last thing: I have said it before and I will say it again; Jacks is mine!
After planning their wedding for months, what could possibly go wrong for Dash and Lexi? As the date gets closer Dash starts to grow concerned at Lexi’s lack of enthusiasm. Will Dash confess his concern to the woman he loves or will he bottle it up until he erupts? With a crazy family around them, a handful of crazy dogs, a couple of kids and a pinch of chaos will Dash and Lexi ever tie the knot?
This was a great conclusion. This is a checkin with Devil’s Share. See what each band member has going on. The guys make me laugh in this one and Devil’s Share women take over. Is Dash finally going to get his happily ever after. He wants it in paper damnit!
Sad to see the series end but L.P. Maxa did it with a bang. It was a great ending to the story to have a wedding and a baby and so much love going on with all of the band. Even a huge surprise there at the end. 5 very happy to have been on the journey stars.
I adore this series, the characters. this is a fun little novella giving us an update on our favorite devil's share members and their wives and family. it's all about, love, family and babies. just a fun read
