In this nondenominational book, you’ll read 10 comforting and inspiring messages in the collective voice of God’s angels, who already know the questions in your heart. Here, received by lifelong clairvoyant Doreen Virtue, they deliver Divine wisdom on important topics such

10 Messages Your Angels Want You to Know will help you develop an even clearer connection with Heaven. May the words in these pages open you to hearing God’s guidance just for you.
As with many books in the 'self-help' genre, the message delivered here is a gentle reminder of how easy life can be if we just stop getting in our own way!
For the past year, I've been working more with angels. This little book, from noted author Doreen Virtue, has ten different messages about different aspects of life.
In this book, Virtue relays messages about how different issues affect our four bodies (physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual) ... and about the difference between walking in love and walking in fear. She talks about how to tell the difference between the paths one is on and where one might wish to be ... and shares practical, compassionate advice.
I digested this book slowly, a few pages at a time ... because every once in a while something in it was so timely for an experience I was having at just that time that I needed to spend some time in contemplation. There were a couple of times that I was so struck by the words I'd just read, and how timely they were to my life, that I was in tears.
Beautiful reminders of exactly what I needed to hear :) Gives tips for awakening from the nightmare of fear, lovingly reminds us of our true spiritual identity, and highlights the futility of seeking external conditions (including other people!) for happiness or blaming external conditions for unhappiness. I haven't read a book by Doreen in years (long time fan & student of her work💗) so this was a lovely reminder & re-introduction 😇✨
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of 10 Messages Your Angels Want You to Know by Doreen Virtue that I read and reviewed. I found this book interesting because it looked at life a bit like I do. That it is more or less a play or in this case a dream that we are living out the way that we set forth with God before we were born. In this book it is told by the author as she relates how her Guardian Angels told her to write it and it looks at different aspects of life and how it relates to you and your purpose being here. I found it a bit spooky how some if the things they described were so accurate in what was going on in my daily life. I have read a number of books about angels and each one has a different message that they say the angels want to share. Just as each one has a different message about what the Other Side is like. So it is personal thing for each person for what they want to take out of each of these books, but I can honestly say this one was from a different perspective and is worth reading if angels interest you. I am giving this book four out of five stars.
My first Doreen Virtue book is Crystal Therapy: How to Heal and Empower Your Life with Crystal Energy. I very much I enjoy that book and wanted to read more of her material, opting for 10 Angels because it was available in the library.
Hmmm ... it is confusing. This book is ostensibly a "transcript" of messages the angels have provided for Ms. Virtue to pass along to us. In some ways the book is helpful; in other ways, it gets blurry. The theories of who / what God is, our connection with God, the angels, archangels and ascended masters, are synopsized in a useful fashion.
I benefited from the recitation that we have two paths - we can choose the "Path of God," doing things with love and with pureness of heart; or the "Path of Fear," acting out of ego. I am taking away a better understanding of how reacting straight from the hip in ego-driven ways can be harmful, so in that respect the book was helpful.
Here are my problems with the book. It's all very ethereal and sounds nice on the pages, but in reality here on Earth we often have to walk the "path of fear," operating under our ego engine, in order to survive. Struggling in a job to pay our bills, dealing with bad relationships, stress, commuting, coping with a disease or some tragedy, and on and on. Walking on the path of God might include praying, living in a moment of pure joy while baking cookies with the grand kids, helping an elderly neighbor. The Path of Fear, living through your ego, just sounds like a regular old day on Planet Earth. Oh - and if you're praying in such a fashion as to be begging God for something to ease your struggle - that's an ego thing, not real prayer.
A lot of the book left me perplexed. Doreen Virtue - well, the angels - describe the time that our souls are here in a corporal body away from God as the Dream of Separation. We're not really here - we're dreaming it. My brain just isn't comprehending that. I had a dream last night, and now I'm awake and walking in the Path of Fear on planet Earth, looking forward to next week's paycheck so I can pay the bills. My ego is trying to impress my boss and also got aggravated with my co-worker and the jerk who cut me off on the road. It makes no sense to me that I'm in a "dream of separation" while I'm here - I am here! I pinch myself and it hurts.
At times in the book Doreen Virtue - I mean the angels - tell me that I have all I need, there is no reason to struggle. But, Dear Angles - I do need clothes, I do need food, I do need water and shelter. I need to please my employer to get a paycheck. Obviously I'm not getting something here. I'll take what made sense and was informative/interesting, and leave the rest. On a final note, the book was repetitive, and despite reading the same things over, oftentimes I could not get the gist of what Doreen Virtue - I mean the angels - were trying to tell me.
PS - I visited Doreen Virtue's website - http://www.doreenvirtue.com/ - hoping to achieve a better understanding of her teachings. There I learned that she has renounced anything to do with new age practices, crystals, angel therapy, etc. She has become a hard-core Christian - nothing wrong with that - but now she preaches against all that she taught in her prior life. I would find her more credible if she blogged about her prior belief system as a stepping stone in her spiritual journey, but now her website preaches in total opposition against her former teachings, spurning her past audience. She even has a podcast entitled "Why Christians Should Avoid Yoga."
Amazing and beautiful insight. Definitely a Doreen Virtue fan for many moons. This really allowed me to reconnect to the path of receiving a fulfilling read. Great recharge from Self Development to a truly inspirational self fulfillment space.
Amazing. Inspiring. I finished it a week ago and I'm rereading it right from the beginning again. I think I'll be keeping it close and rereading over and over for a while until it all sinks in. Just what I needed for where I am in my spiritual path right now. Great stuff.
This book was actually pretty good. I might even recommend it for those looking for an "Introduction to Spirituality/Awakening" guide. It's hardcover and 121 pages, very nice.
Much of this was repeat for me because I've read many Spirituality books, but I'll have to look at this one again.
There are some aha moments but I have come away from reading this book with more questions than answers. I initially wanted to read this book for healing and perhaps some words to help me make sense of what I'm searching for. I found the opposite.
A very short book but nothing too special if you have read some of her other works or Hay House works in general. Pretty much just all is one and God is love.
I read in a moment of my life where these messages were perfect. God is LOVE and we are all here together to discover our divine purpose and live it out to the fullest.
3.75 rounded down. Kindle ebook. Have to admit it took me several attempts o finish this one. It just didn't resonate with me. Some passages really spoke to me others not so much
