Ok, but not very fulfilling. Only Beauty and the Viking is the only one I could tell you is built upon a already set world (Norseton wolves/Shrew and company series comes to mind) which is why I enjoyed that one the most. all the others mostly felt flat due to half baked endings.

I won't be able to read them all but I found four from my favorite authors so I will read them and try to get to the others later and edit this review to include them.

The Half-bear's Honey by Jacqueline Sweet

Wow I really liked this entry for the Bearfield series. Although technically Liam lives outside those city limits but I digress you want to know about the story and all I can say is Beauty tames her beast and what a sexy beast he was. Rose is a librarian on the run from a rich man who sexually harased her to the point she give up her virginity to him or else. There is a storm that causes Rose to be abandoned and she walks for miles until she comes across a mailbox and follows the muddy lane up to what appears to be an abandoned house. However, this is where Liam lives. Liam is a bear shifter that was cursed for his wicked treatment to a hitchhiker.
Ms. sweet is one of my favorite authors because she writes with such emotion that you are sure to fall into the story and be swept away from reality for as long as her story lasts.

Booty and the Beast by Kim Fox

I love my bears and Ms. Fox does them well my only complaints for this story is a the foul language and b the abrupt ending otherwise it was a great story. Bella comes to the forest to do research but she has never gone camping so roughing it was harder than planned. She was after some sleepy owl information for her dissertation but instead finds Cliff a bear that comes to the river at the same time she does. She has fallen hard for him especially after he saves her life but Cliff has an alter ego if you will in his human half Logan.
Another Beauty tames her beast this time he is a scarred angry bear who learns to hope again as well as fall in love with his bewitching beauty Bella.

Beauty and the Bad Bearllionaire Part 3 by Scarlett grove

I love my visits to Fate Mountain. This story was very good as all of the Fate Mountain stories are I just wish it didn't leave me with more questions about the haunted mansion. The ending was a bit abrupt as well. Poor James is a bear shifter with PTSD who thinks he is going insane as he doesn't believe in hauntings. Matilda has to return to Fate Mountain after a disastrous relationship left her homeless and jobless. her mother owns the cleaning service so she gets a job cleaning the mansion as James has scared all the other women working for the cleaning service.
As usual Ms. grove kept me captivated with this story with some minor shortcomings though.

Her Dragon Temptation by Olivia Arran

Ah poor Bastian has lost his dragon ever since Astrid his sister left him, he is unable to shift and very rarely communicates with him. Faye is an accountant sent by the Council to decide whether or not Bastian will continue to lead the Jewelcrest clan. She has had a bad marriage so she isn't looking for love yet she is drawn to Bastian. Bastian sees his forever mate in Faye yet he feels broken and worthless and does not want her drawn in to his misery.
Once again Ms. Arran takes me away from my physical pain this time with a dragon I can really relate to.

My overall opinion is that this is a great collection to get lost in.

-oh yessss, This is why I had pre-ordered this collection. That was exactly how I like my beauty and beast reads, it was perfect. Loved this couple, their personalities and the storyline. beautifully done, it was just long enough that I made a connection with the characters but not too long that I felt it was dragging. Loooved it!

It was perfect no one was around him except his cleaning maids who all quit because he was a pig and growly grumpy bear. But James was very lonely maybe he could not be so crazy for a Mate? He went to the site one maid told him about, Mate.com than called Fate Mountain Cleaning to get another maid, his mansion was like there was a pig here instead of a bear. Could his broken Bear be good?

He is still trying to dig himself out of all this mess which was made for him but than he made it worse too. There has to be a way to do it. Maybe a dating agency can find him a mate then he could have a heir which would help right? As this beauty knocks at his door he thinks he Won the Lottery, than she let him know who she is. With her famous words, just one check and you loses it all..

A copy of the Half-Bear’s Honey by Jacqueline Sweet was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

On an ordinary night, Rose would have huddled in her car and waited out the storm before looking for help; but this is not a normal night. Rose is being pursued and in an attempt to flee drives west; nobody from Poppy Valley ever drove west, because they knew monsters lived in Bearfield. Rose wonders how she has come to this point. Yesterday she had been the lone librarian of Poppy Valley, but now, after crashing her car, she is marooned in the vast wilderness freezing to death; all because Ronald, a predator, had taken a shine to her and she had rebuffed him and fled. Rose comes across what looks like an abandoned farm house, but behind it is a cottage and she lets herself in. Rose didn’t see the eyes watching her from the farm house, or the growl that she thinks is thunder. The cottage belongs to Liam’s last love, but he cannot enter it until he becomes a man again. It has been so long since the witch’s curse took Liam, leaving him half man and half bear; his thoughts only bring anger, sadness and rage. But when he was young and foolish he had refused to help a traveller in need, breaking one of the most fundamental rules of civilisation and this was why he was cursed. When Liam invites Rose to share his food, he looks like no man she has ever seen before. While Rose should leave, she doesn’t want to; there is something deeply intriguing about this sad haunted man and his incredible food. Also, what did he look like under his hood? Liam has so many questions and the prospect of having a guest for the first time in so long is hard to pass up; he has forgotten how lonely his world is until Rose reminds him. Liam had been given the offer of moving to Bearfield once, but he knew people would only look at him with fear and revulsion. Ronald has not given up on finding Rose and before long he is once again threatening her. Liam will not allow Ronald to terrorise his mate. It is time for the monster to appear, but Liam’s attack sets in motion something quite unexpected and unforeseen. This was a wonderful story and one I enjoyed reading immensely.

Booty and the Beast Kim Fox

Bella mistakenly picks the most random topic for her dissertation. Camping out in the wild for four weeks to observe a species of owls. The sleepy owls. She was not fully prepared for this project. Her first mistake- she's never been camping. The second mistake- using the internet to research camping. Third mistake- a serious lack of supplies. The fourth mistake- she gives up way too soon. Her fifth mistake- she tries to leave but gets lost.

In the end, Bella decides to toughen it out. She will not give up on this assignment. She is going to find those owls. Trouble is, she can't see in the dark. After that, she's out in the woods waiting out her time. When she befriends a grizzly bear, things take a turn.

The bear turns out to be a shifter. Logan in his former life was a well-known surgeon. He worked on saving the lives of children. At the height of his career, his life was altered drastically when the government abducted and tortured him. Eventually, Logan was able to escape and his bear went on a rampage.

Logan has lived alone in the woods for three years. He avoids contact with others. He still fears how his bear will react. But, when he comes upon Bella in the woods his bear is intrigued. He can interact with Bella as a bear easily. As a man, not so much. In his human skin, he is abrupt, rude, demanding, and overbearing. His people skills have dropped significantly due to his isolation.

He and Bella clash from the start. He orders, she resists and pushes back. Logan doesn't want Bella to fear him. But what does he want? Can he have it if Bella returns to her world and he stays in hiding?

Decision time. A tale of two very stubborn individuals, one with emotional walls up hiding behind fear.

She never expects the warnings of a bear man in the woods to be true, but when she encounters a sad looking grizzly who strongly resembles the aggravating man now seemingly holding her hostage, she put two and two together and comes up with bear shifter. Logan has been alone so long he has lost his civilized ways, but when he meets Bella both his human side and bear side are drawn to her. What does a girl do when she likes a mans bear side more then his human self? Can she find help heal Logan from his tormented path or will his stubbornness ruin a chance at love?

Beauty and the Bad Bearlionaire by Scarlett Grove: Secrets and danger abound in this story. Matilda is back in her hometown after leaving two years ago to raise money so she can go to college. She is recovering from a bad relationship and is forced to go back to work for her mom as a housekeeper, which is the last thing she wants to do. James is a billionaire bear shifter who is slowly going crazy, he lives isolated just his mansion with no contact with the outside world. In desperation he signs up for mate.com under an alias, but when the beauty that he's matched with shows up on at his door with a mop in hand his is thoroughly shocked to find out he's been matched with his new cleaning lady. Matilda has never seen a dirtier kitchen in her life, or a more intriguing man. Get Matilda see through James' gruff exterior to see his inner turmoil, and help him overcome his past and haunted house to live a happy future?

The Half-Bear's Honey by Jacqueline Sweet: Sweet, sexy, and romantic, this is a great story. Rose is a librarian who finds herself on the run, and finds herself in more trouble then she can handle. When she stumbles on an abandon cottage in the woods, she believes she has found a temporary safe haven, but she is not alone. Liam has been cursed into Half- Bear form and wanders the woods outside his home. He distrusts women with a vengeance, but something about Rose brings out a protective side in him. Is Rose really safe, or will the danger follow her to her sanctuary, and what will Liam do if danger comes a Knocking?

Taming the Beast has some really fabulous stories by some great authors!
Booty and the Beast by Kim Fox was an absolute fun twist on Beauty and the Beast. Bella finds her way lost into the woods. We find out why she's the and more about her and as she communes with nature and the beast. The beast finds that he might just like Bella. I found Bella to be smart and liked that she spoke her mind. The beast was charming and humble as any hero.

Very entertaining stories! I was delighted reading and laughing with the heroines’ exploits. There is no doubt that love had power and these authors showed it with strong and witty women who were taming a beast to have their HEA.
Bootie and the Beast by Kim Fox
Seems that studying owls in the wild was not a smart idea. Why she thought she could succeed? Stubborn and against all odds, Bella dragged herself toward her, very probably, ill-fated mission dreading what she would have to do. But, when you find a beast that is more than what eyes see, makes you feel protected and …hot? You didn’t stand a chance. You are lost! There was a new way to see the future and Bella was decided to make things better, for both. This story was a very pleasant surprise. Another victim that had undergone suffering and torture and in the different setting. Logan had been through so much. Like the fertile imagination of this author that keeps me enjoying her witty narrations. Booty and the Beast was an interesting and entertaining story full of emotions, suspense, intriguing scenes, mystery, lovely narrations with romance, sex, acceptance and a very satisfying HEA.

A miscalculation and now Belle was cursed, stuck in the Manor aching for Gastard and the pleasure he had brought to her. But Gastard had not fare better and unknown to Bella he had been wronged too. When she was goaded by Eva, she tried something that frightened her. It was for better or for worse? A very amusing and hot story with suspense, wicked and funny songs, Belle struggling with her curse, sex toys making her mockery and unconditional love as the cure of all ills. A twist in Beauty and the Beast story that was different and very entertaining.
Beauty and the Bad Bearlionaire by Scarlett Grove
Lady Luck was not on Matilda Swank’s side. Fleeing a bad relationship, job hunting without results and no money, she had no other choice that accept her mother’s offer to work at Fate Mountain Cleaner. James Hill was suffering PTSD. He had his time in the war and was badly affected. He didn’t trust his bear or his mind state. Billionaire but unable to live normally he was living isolated and alone with a disorderly heap of dirty things around. No way to stay sane. Even he thought he was hallucinating. He needed a cleaning lady so that the house didn’t swallow him. Mate.com had its part in the action because no way these two, hopeless people who seemed to have nothing in common, could be matched. This was a hilarious story full of amusing scenes, witty comments, mystery, peculiar characters, a grouch shifter, a haunted mansion, thugs and a cooking romance. Madness! Made me chuckle at each time. I was visualizing the corporal movements of The Grinch with James’ character. Despite his fears and lack of confidence this was a funny character. An easy to read story with good and amusing descriptions, intriguing events and even magic! I didn’t need anything else to enjoy.

Booty and the Beast by Kim Fox
Bella & Cliff. While on her lonesome, solo hunt to observe owls, Bella has instead made friends with a grizzly bear. She eventually realizes that there is more to Cliff than meets the eye when he saves her & she meets Logan. Logan is just a grumpy old bear hiding away from his real life, he helps her heal and teaches her about surviving with less. I enjoyed reading how they get to know one another, become friends and encouragement one another to be brave. Perfect example about how judging someone based on what's on the outside, can cause you to miss out on more than you could ever imagine finding.

A very well written and fun twist on this theme with lots of sex.
I loved the musical rhyming lyrics, I was singing along.
Very clever that the curse was amended and not lifted completely.

A fun tongue in cheek story with a Beauty and the Beast twist which I enjoyed but just too condensed to do it justice.
Matilda seems a bit selfish and immature at the start bemoaning having to clean for a living. Lots of people do cleaning and it is an honest job. She should have been more grateful her mum let her stay with her and gave her a job.
James thinks he is losing his mind due to PTSD as he keeps seeing objects in the house and statues in the garden moving. His bear is stressed as well and whilst James thinks he is uncontrollable I think he just needed to be a bear doing what bears love to do. James is one grouchy bear and knowing Matilda is his mate and the human part won’t claim her makes him worse.
The detail Ms groves puts into her books is humorous, I loved James having to decide between which type of cheese to have in his omelette. Reading this breakfast scene made me hungry.
I disliked the fact Matilda was going to tweet whilst having dinner. How rude playing with your phone when someone has cooked for you.
This is my honest review of this story.
OLIVIA ARRAN - HER DRAGON TEMPTATION
We met Bastion in Her dragon protector and he was not a nice character or brother. I was really interested to see how Bastion would be redeemed and I think in Faye, Ms Arran has done a superb job.
Faye managed to stand up to him, call Bastion on his bull***t and get him to talk about what really was going on with him and the persona he had showed everyone else.
I think this story could have been longer and more detailed which I would have loved but I enjoyed what we have here.

My least favourite of the Bearfield series purely due to one silly scene.
Liam totally deserved his curse for his behaviour and Rose was sweet.
I was really enjoying the interaction between Rose and Liam and happily reading along.
It became exciting when Ronald and his goons turned up at the cottage and Liam in all his ferociousness dealt with these thugs, then it went a bit silly with Ronald dancing around trying to get a signal on his phone so he could Instagram Liam's death. REALLY.
Without that silly scene in my head it would have been better. I think the shortness of this story did not do it any favours.

James moved to Fate Mountain because he thought he was losing control of his bear. Then weird things are happening in the mansion making him think that not only is his bear going bezerk, but he is losing his mind. But he ran off his maid and now he must get a new one. Imagine James’s surprise when he opens his front door and finds his fated mate standing there looking at him. Is James going crazy? Or is there something weird in the mansion? What a wonderfully sweet story!! A bear that thinks he’s going crazy, a young woman who is down on her luck end up being fated mates. Such a magical story!!

5. Chapter 3, stopped reading. Started out bad. The male babbled in 1st chapter. 2nd chapter didn't make much sense either. I quit.

A Paranormal feast!

There were 11 individual stories in this anthology and they were all unique but very similar. Of course some were better than others but i read every word!

Boxed sets are a wonderful opportunity to meet you authors and check out their work. This is just one of those examples. Usually the stories a fairly short and great for those times you need a little fill in time.
For example one of my favorite authors has a story called Booty and the Beast. Great play on words and she works it in with humor and romance, throw in some heat:
A cute, sassy, short read. Bella planned to spend a month in the forest, studying owls for her dissertation. Right. Alone, sparse on supplies and camping knowledge. Some old men warned her about a beast in the forest. She figured they just wanted to scare her off and she wasn't falling for it. She did see a big bear. At first, she'd watched from afar. He seemed lonely but that was only a feeling. Then something happened. 
Waking up in a small cabin deep in the woods, she saw a man. He was grouchy, hot, and he scared her almost as much as he turned her on. Yep, bear shifter with lonely eyes. Logan had a story, one he wasn't sharing. 
What would happen now? Would the grouchy bear/man kill her? No spoilers so you'll have to read it to get the answers. A good little short tale by Ms. Fox. Just one of the fun reads. Don't let this little one go by. A great break when you don't have much time to start a longer story.
Beauty and the Bad Bearlionaire: Yep Beauty and the Beast, that is is the beauty is a reluctant maid and the beast is a bear shifter going mad. You will enjoy the play on the Fairy Tale, adult style. He is a MESSY guy who is so cranky he scares away all the maids sent to him. As a last resort, the daughter of the maid service owner is sent with a warning...”Get him to keep letter her come back or you are out.” and that is not just out of a job. She lives with her less than the sympathetic mother. In keeping with the series on Fate Mountain, they are mates. He can't keep her if he wants to protect her which is his main function as her mate. Hmmm, what to do? Gotta read to find out. This was is cute as well as keeping with the series HEA. Gonna still get some danger, some steam, and a couple of characters you will want to find their way to that HEA.

Get this great boxed set—at an unbelievable price: You won't regret it.

Beauty and the Viking

Beauty and the Viking by Holly Trent is a wonderful crossover addition to the Afotama and the Norseton Wolves series. It isn't necessary to have read those series to enjoy this short story, but it's helpful to understanding the background and dynamics.

Paralegal Mary Nissen has been tasked by the attorneys she works for with locating a potential witness to an accident. She is down to the last lead and is leaving a seemingly vacant warehouse when she is taken from behind, drugged and abducted.

Andreas Toft is a reclusive man who is guarding a dangerous secret. When the persistent woman who has been leaving endless messages for him appears at the warehouse he's working in, he can't be sure what she may have seen through the dirty windows because he never remembers anything after he returns to himself. And he's pretty sure he's become something the townspeople won't allow to live among them if they learn his secret. To protect himself, he takes Mary hostage. But soon it's a question of who has captivated whom.
