Tempt Me

Welcome to Breakers Bay, where the days are hot and the nights even hotter...

Katrina Caldwell is finally making her own way living and working at tropical Breakers Bay Beach Resort. Her independence was hard won, and she’s determined to make the most of every day. But she has a little problem. Her boss Brandon Jacobs is hotter than hot, and lately she can’t seem to focus when he’s around. It’s a mistake to fall for him — he's made it clear that he's all business. Besides, she’s all about that laid back, easy beach life. Who needs a man? But she can’t deny that every time she's near him, the temptation gets a little bit harder to resist.

Brandon doesn't have time for dating. Every bit of energy he has goes into the resort he's working hard to keep afloat, and Kat is a temptation he just can't indulge — even if he can't get her off his mind. For one, she’s his employee. She might as well wear a flashing sign that screams off limits . Two, he can’t afford any distractions — and a sexy little yoga instructor is about as distracting as it gets.

When Kat presents Brandon with a deal — she’ll help him get his resort on track if he’ll let her show him there’s more to life than work — hard days in the office turn into late nights on the town. Can they fight the temptation that keeps pulling them back together? Or will they see how good it can be to be oh-so-bad?

I received a free copy of the short sweet romance novel Tempt Me(Breakers Bay book 2 aka Sunset Bay book 2} by Christine Kingsley and this review was given freely.
Complex , emotional and mildly steamy with interesting characters. This opposites attract workplace romance is set at the Sunset Bay Resort, contains excerpts of resort life, the continued romance of Meredith and her fiance Cole, the attraction filled tension between Brandon and the spa manager and yoga instructor Kat, and Kat's stress as her resort baron parents along with their choice for a fiance descend on the resort.
Just as enjoyable the second time.

Tempt Me is the third sweet romance by Christine Kingsley set at the Sunset Bay Resort. How Kat and Brandon deal with the tension of their developing feelings, balance running the Resort with finding time together and, the added interference of Kat's family make this an interesting and heart warming story. I also enjoyed the continued story of Brandon's sister Meredith and her fiance Cole.

I'm glad to say that book #2 is every bit as good as the first one! This story is about the Sunset Bay Resort's owner, Brandon (brother of Meredith from the first book). He's trying to keep the resort afloat, so he is a total workaholic. Katrina is his spa manager who has had a crush on him for the past year, but thinks its unrequited. Little does she know that Brandon is attracted as well but feels that it was wrong to act on that attraction for many reasons. Katrina is also keeping a secret - she comes from a wealthy family in the resort business. With her parents coming to visit and pressure her to come back home, she and Brandon strike a deal where he will help protect her from family interference and Katrina will help Brandon learn to enjoy a life outside of work. Of course, their attraction flares out of control and I enjoyed reading about them as their relationship developed. The angst angle of the romance comes in the form of Katrina freaking out and breaking things off with Brandon, but quickly realizes her mistake and apologizes to him in a grand gesture that was perfect for the story. There is also a great little epilogue *sigh*.

I was excited to read more about Brandon and Katrina after their introduction in Rescue Me. There's been attraction between them since he first hired her, but being her employer and facing potential sexual harassment charges, Brandon felt he couldn't act on it. Kat proves she more than just a yoga instructor with her advice that helps Brandon grow his resort. But she has to deal with rich parents who want to buy Breakers Bay Beach Resort, bring her back home to New York, and marry off to their friend's son Brock, who hits on all the women and doesn't understand monogamy. I feel sorry for the woman he's in love with. Brandon is all work and no play trying to save his resort and Kat teaches him to make time to cut loose and have fun. They were good for each other. It was also great to catch up with Meredith and Cole from Rescue Me. This was a funny, sexy, and sweet tropical romance.

Although somewhat predictable, it’s fun watching Kat and Brandon fall in love! And predictable doesn’t mean boring - it was fun watching Kat draw Brandon out of his workaholic ways, doing fun spontaneous outings. Enjoyed Brandon’s sister, Meredith, who helped Kat and to a lesser extent Brandon, see that what they have is something special.

This one would be great to read at the beach...or if you’re dreaming of being at the beach!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion.

An amazing heartwarming fun and entertaining friends, coworkers, to lovers romance. The characters have great witty banter and are interesting, well developed including great chemistry as these opposites compliment and bring out the best in the other. The storyline is engaging in this action packed romance that includes awesome engaging secondaries with humor, heat and a few misteps for a smooth flowing beach read. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC

This is a feel good read. Has humor, some heat, and of course the missteps along the way. Brandon and Kat are two very different people that complement each other and bring out the best of each other when they are together.

Is Brandon a temptation Kat can indulge...

Or will he make her feel every emotion she never wanted to feel. In this romantic slow burn opposites do attract. Free spirit Yoga instructor Kat and buttoned down workaholic Brandon are friends and coworkers fighting attraction, angst ensues. These characters are witty and so likable, I really enjoyed this fun easy read.

A good story. It is fun, exciting, suspenseful, and enjoyable. There are hurdles and bumps in the road for these two. If they can get over them they have a chance at something great. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

A contemporary romance, Tempt Me has substance and pushes all the right buttons. Brandon and Kat have a connection, one that they are both fighting, but it gets the better of them. As her boss, Brandon is cautious of making moves on Kat, especially as he cannot afford to get distracted from trying to save his resort from financial ruin. The free spirited Kat is a bag full of surprises, especially when she reveals just how qualified she is to make a difference in Brandon’s life. This is a delicious romance, one where both Kat and Brandon have a reality check and are forced to make decisions whether to go forward with their relationship or not. I loved the characters and reconnecting with individuals from the first book in the series, Rescue Me. Kat is a woman after my own heart, knowing what she wants and going after it. I received a copy of this book as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
