He wants her to be his lover…she wants to be his forever. Nick Coalson is abrasive, arrogant, and an absolute dynamo in the bedroom. Problem is, he knows it. Rebecca Morgan is sweet, shy, and immensely attracted to Nick, but he's trouble in tight jeans and she knows it. When Nick Coalson saves Rebecca Morgan from an assassin’s bullet, he sets his sights on the shy partner of a detective agency. But he mistakes her kindness for weakness and learns the hard way that although she may seem submissive, she’s a voluptuous bundle of intelligence and determination. Rebecca tries to hide her feelings for Nick because he’s the kind of man that makes a smart girl do stupid things. After a sensual encounter, Nick grows distant, stating he wants a lover, not a wife. Rebecca realizes she’s going to need to keep her wits about her if she wants Nick forever because it’s too easy to lose herself to his dominant personality. When a stranger offers to help her win Nick, she accepts although she wonders what’s in it for him. But Nick thinks it’s too late for his love when he witnesses a tender moment between Rebecca and another man. His head tells him to step aside, but his heart aches for her tender touch. And as the killer closes in on the Coalson family, Nick wonders if it will be too late to save not only their love but their very lives?

OMG! Ms. Adams wowed me again, from the first page through the last one! I read this in record time, as I did not want to put it down! "COLD AS ICE" is the latest STAND-ALONE & another winner from the awesome Tempered Steel series about a big, wonderful family, but mostly about each of the brothers finding their forever love. Plus, there's an on-going mystery from long before they were born that will kept me on the edge of my seat! Great descriptions and relatable characters will keep readers engaged & turning pages! *Warning* this is smoking hot and for Adults 18+, so wear some gloves & have a fire extinguisher handy ;) lol ... I highly recommend this & each stand-alone book by Maggie Adams! And as always, I can't wait for her next book!!

Title: Cold As Ice
Author: Maggie Adams

4 unexpected stars

I only wish I had read some of Maggie Adams' Tempered Steel novels before getting into Cold As Ice. It had the perfect blend between suspense, romance and eroticism that made me melt like there was no tomorrow. I wonder how her other novels in the series compare to this novel that charmed me in ways I never expected. Telling the story of Nick and Rebecca as the two struggle to find their way amongst each other. Afraid that he can't protect her as he should, Nick pushes Rebecca away, hoping that she can move on. The only problem is that Nick's dominant side is calling to Rebecca's submissive side and from a simple look or word, she feels compelled to obey, which had never happened with any other man. Until another Dom introduces himself to Rebecca and her submissive side comes out to play, forcing Nick to decide exactly what it is he wants to do.

4.5 sexy dreams

It was hot, sexy and incredibly arousing. I loved this couple and finding out how they would deal with the obstacles they faced, and what they would ultimately choose for their future. I couldn't get enough of not only this series, but the characters, and now I'm so very curious to read more of the Tempered Steel series, even if it's to compare how I'd be able to connect with the other couples. I can't wait to find out how Maggie
Adams will be able to top this latest release with her next books.

‘Noah, we are not going around killing everyone. It’s not nice,’ Ginny commented with a slight smile as she passed him a slice of pie.

My Review:

The blood feud continues between the evil psychopath Pye and the beloved Coalson clan, and the offenses and body count continues to climb with this active storyline. The plot thickens as they uncover additional elements and criminal factions at play. However, the main focus of this installment was a salacious and scorching sensual relationship as Nick and the feisty red-haired Rebecca do the back and forth dance with their on again/off again status and grapple with their personal differences. Their bawdy encounters were highly erotic, although the Dom/Sub genre holds no appeal for me personally. There are so many Coalsons to remember and keep straight – thankfully Ms. Adams does that for us with a helpful recap of the previous installments.

I give Cold as Ice 5 stars. I was swept away into their battle with a psycho. I went through many emotions while reading, I was scared for Rebecca, then relieved when Nick enlisted extra help, and was curious to see the outcome. The steaminess of their play in the bedroom was great, and the dynamics of them as a couple, very interesting.

Maggie Adams is a very good author. Her story is riveting, the characters are exceptional, all of them, and the way she described the events was amazing. A very descriptive and engaging story.

Nick and Rebecca have an on again, off again relationship. When she's kidnapped and sold to a sex slave ring, he is out of his mind trying to rescue her, and he must enlist the aid of the mysterious Jonas Blackshire. Who is this man?

Rebecca Morgan is sweet, shy, and immensely in love with Nick, and she’d give him whatever he wants. Rebecca tries to hide her feelings for him because he has the power to break her. She knows she has to keep her wits about her or lose herself to his dominant personality. Problem is, can she?

Nick Coalson is abrasive, arrogant, and awesome in the bedroom. After saving her and her sister, he sets his sites on her. Although she may seem submissive, she’s very intelligent and determined. He thinks he is a coward and can't seem to keep her safe, but he definitely wants her in his bed and in his life. Will he be able to keep her safe?

Cold as Ice is a contemporary romance novel that is action packed with mystery, sex, and love. The turmoil they endure to get to the bottom of what is happening, is quite interesting, and the story unfolds very neatly.

I really enjoyed this book and loved following the dynamics of this relationship.

This is a series of books by Maggie Adams known as Tempered Steel and the first of this authors books I’ve read . I enjoyed this Cold As Ice novel about one of the Coalson family who had been terrorized by the son of a man who vowed revenge for the death of his father by Hank the head of the family . There are several stories about each of the family members , but can each be read alone . There is so much that happens I would recommend reading the series.

one of the things I love about this book is the suspense, the emotions. it takes a lot of time to write something that will blow people away but somehow she had managed to do just that.
The characters are brilliant and though it can be a bit graphic for some it is still an amazing read. I give this a five star rating and highly recommend this book.

description

Cold as Ice was a great 5 star read.

Nick and Rebecca oh my. These two pulled me right in with their story.
Nick has pushed Rebecca away because he has the fear that he can’t keep her safe. But yet he can’t let her go which is really confusing Rebecca.
He wasn’t good enough to keep her heart and her life. Safe.

Rebecca loves Nick and want’s him to realize and admit his love for her. He either needs to commit or leave her alone. Nick’s dominant side really calls to Rebecca and he can control her with just a look or command. He has trained her well. The scenes that these two have are very hot and steamy. And when another Dom commands Rebecca her instincts are to obey, how will Nick react to this? Will he finally claim her or will this other Dom take his place?

Her submissive nature recognized a Dominant Master.

There is so much more to this great read and the sex is off the charts hot. I want a man like Nick.
There are more twists and surprises and the secondary characters added a great element to the story. This is my first read in the series and I feel it can be read as a stand alone. Maggie does a great job of pulling you in with her writing, I look forward to reading more and catching up. 1-click and get started today.

Clearly I am in the minority with my feels about this book. I personally enjoy more story than sex and this just doesn't do it for me. I also before reading this series wasn't aware that it was dom/sub type of thing but even this isn't the type of Dom/sub stuff I have seen. Trust me even though I was disappointed doesn't mean it's a bad read it just isn't to my taste.

Wow, this book does a great job of completing the storyline. With Nick and Rebecca, along with the family and the suspenseful ending, Ms Adams had me hanging on the edge of my seat. If you have not read this series you are really missing out.

This series just keeps getting better and better! The storyline grabs you and keeps you tied to it as you continue to turn page after page. It continues with the trouble that has plagued this tight knit family since book one and places each one of the single brothers with their one and only, and this time it's Rebecca and Nick's story that comes into play as they struggle with their relationship, each in their own way. The wonderful, well developed characters are all back in this book so we are able to catch up with them as well as the angst between Nick and Rebecca as they work to find exactly what they are to each other, well that's more on Nick's part as Rebecca knows what she wants. The danger that the family has been in the first books is still lurking and is still a very clear and present danger for all involved. Pye is still out there, waiting to make his move, but the question is; what is that move and when and where will that happen. New characters are introduced in this book, good ones and bad ones, and those are the ones that you will have to keep an eye on, because just when you think it's safe to breathe easy; it's not!

Nick and Rebecca's relationship will have you pulling your hair out and will make you want to reach into the book and smack Nick a few times as well as giving a few taps to Rebecca as well. But when these two are together, it's sparks flying and heat that is all consuming.

I highly recommend this book, but you will need to read the whole series to know what is going on, and you won't be disappointed in doing so.

Intense, Intriguing, Steamy,Best Book to date

OMG, best book of the series. I love this series by Maggie Adams. This book has it all. Steamy hot sex scenes that made me squirm in my seat, those intense suspense moments that had me muttering to my book, and a intriguing storyline that captured my interest from book one. Maggie begins the book with some serious heat so be prepared to head for a cold as ice shower as you become immersed in Rebecca and Nick's story. This is a stand alone book but. If you haven't read the Tempered Steel Series, you have been missing out on a great read. Pick up Whistlin' Dixie and enjoy the journey with the 7 hunky Coalson brothers as they meet their heroines while they solve the mystery of who is out to destroy their family business in Grafton, Illinois. This is book six and I can't wait to read the next step in the storyline.

Cold As Ice was another really good instalment in the Tempered Steel series by Maggie Adams.
We've followed the misfortunes, ups and downs and happiness of the Coalson family from the first book in the series and CaI (book 6) brings about more twists and turns, danger to the family, new additions and follows a relationship that we first glimpsed in the fifth book, Forged in Fire.

While I loved the action and suspense in the continuation of the story arc that we've been following and for the most part I really liked Rebecca, I found it really quite difficult to like or engage with Nick's character. Together they set the sheets on fire and though he made some of the right moves and seemed to be into Rebecca, at points I just didn't feel that he was the right guy for her. While reading the story he did grow on me but I just didn't have that same interest as I had for his brothers have in their own stories.

Action packed, suspenseful, fast paced and hot, this was a great read and I'm looking forward to the next book/instalment to see where things go from here.

Cold as Ice works as a standalone but, to fully appreciate all that happens in the story, I'd recommend you read the series in it's entirety. 4*

Wow! This was very intense. There are graphic scenes in here, so if that is not your thing you should not continue. Rebecca is sold into slavery as well, so if you have a trigger warning to these kinds of stories I suggest you also do not read.

I found out that while this is a standalone it probably is best to read from the beginning. I very much enjoyed my read, but I do think perhaps it would have been better for me if I had read the previous books first. I think it just helps with the overall setting and flow of the stories that this author writes. I don't think there's anything that necessarily is spoiled or connected in the previous books. So this is also a warning for those who like to read things in order. Definitely read it in order!

Overall I enjoyed the character's relationships to each other. The plot line was crazy in a good way. Super intense and I couldn't wait to get to the ending. If you're worried that it won't end well, don't be it does end nicely for the main character.

Definitely recommend :) And I'll definitely be going back to the first story so I can figure out how this one ties in haha

A book that brings the first 5 into crystal clarity as to why everything has been happening to the Coalson family. A book that shows us how deeply Nick feels for his Becca. What he is willing and not willing to give up for the woman that has crawled under his skin and made camp in his heart.
Filled with the heat that you would expect from the Tempered Steel Series and more. Danger twists and secrets unrevealed, this book and this series are incredibly addicting.
Maggie gives us even more by throwing in a few more characters that we can expect to be bringing more trouble to Nick and his family. A wedding and a family united this book, give us the excitement, romance and passion that we have come to expect from Maggie and the Steel brothers.

ARC for honest review with no compensation, Maggie Adams just keeps writing intense drama and storylines from the first page til the very last word! ! !

What a continuation to the series…Nick and Rebecca have an on again/off again relationship and now he needs to rescue her again…he needs her back in his life forever...

Nick and the rest of his brothers are trying to get to Pye and end this feud once and for all but….things keep happening and it’s like there is no end in sight. Will Pye take Rebecca away from Nick for good or will he enlist more help from another unknown (but good guy) to get her back???

What an intense, suspenseful, tension grabbing, steamy and love filled story to keep you reading and waiting for the next book.

Cold as Ice (Tempered Steel Series Book 6) by Maggie Adams is SIZZLING hot, romantic, suspenseful, and will keep readers engaged through out. It a quick read that readers will love! The main characters are complex. Nick Coalson and Rebecca Morgan are combustible together. Do not take the synopsis’ warning of Becca being sold into sex slavery lightly.

I am rating Cold as Ice (Tempered Steel Series Book 6) by Maggie Adams 4.6 stars! Job well done!

Meet the Coalson family from Crafton Illinois- Mississippi.

Robert Pye wants they all dead. The whole Coalson clan.
And there is Rebecca Morgan and her little sister Renee. They are investigators and investigate the fire and accident of Nick Coalson.
They meet and sparks fly and they have this crazy chemistry.
But there are also many questions. Why did the homestead of the coalson clan explode? How is Sharon Nick´s therapist involved? And what´s about Scott Terry, the new sherif?
Does the feud end with the dead of Pye? Hanks? But at which costs?

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobooks of this title.

Yes, the last of their persecutors are now in sight, but he has been illusive up until now, so off course it's not easy or inexpensive.
The price is high, but it could have been a lot higher.
Excellent series!! Although there seemed some repeating of text in this one audiobook.
