Taken:
A punctured tire in the middle of nowhere... a hand over her mouth... dumped in the trunk of a car...
Curvy wolf-shifter Alyssa finds herself divided from the pack she’s grown up with for the past eighteen years, and tied to a chair in a barn in the middle of nowhere.
A man has her now, a man who can also take the shape of a wolf. Alyssa has always followed the rules, but this man is forcing her to break them all ...

Captured:
Callum wants her the first moment he sees her. He’s found his mate, knows it at the very first scent, but the curvy eighteen year old would never betray her pack and leave with a lone wolf.
But Callum knows he’s found his mate, and wolves mate for life.
All he has to do is convince her he’s right.

Short, steamy and fast paced.
Slightly different to other shifter books I have read, shifting certainly sounds messy and painful in this series not for the faint hearted.

*WARNING* story contains explicit sexual content
This one is different in a few different ways pertaining to the alpha. This pack doesn't have the support most packs so in stories of this genre. I like that it was different. I like that it wasn't overly wordy. I think that the pack land could have had some description, would have been nice to get a visual of what she was running to or from.

Normally I don’t mind dark erotic romances, but Wolf Snatched by Marissa Farrar left me feeling icky. Not only was the narrative and romance incredibly rushed, but there were also deeper issues with consent.

The main female lead spent the entire story looking down on herself – as if she thought her curves were disgusting. it wasn’t terribly attractive as a character trait, and certainly not empowering as I’d expected from a BBW story. She was also weak willed, and easily cowed by those around her, including the lecherous alpha. It was clear their relationship was borderline abusive.

Unfortunately, her mate, the ‘hero’ of our story, wasn’t much better. Despite the authors assurances that he wanted the best for her and she was willing… come on! He kidnapped her. She was tied up. Regardless of how good his affections felt, the power dynamics were off. What real choice did she have between this kidnapping stranger, and the lecherous old alpha? She was bullied into the relationship, and consent isn’t consent when you have to kidnap someone and coerce them to get it.

It felt wrong and gross.

Short story

This is a SUPER fast read. It's like something you'd find on Watt Pad. The steam is steamy but the story needed to be fleshed out better.

This was kinda creepy. The alpha was repulsive. I can't even address the other issues without revealing the story. It was a very quick read.I did not buy into the storyline and felt no connection with the characters.

Cute intro to something bigger. This is hardly a novel or a novella, more like rough outline of afternoon daydream.

I wish it was longer!

I liked the premise and the main characters - for the most part. I didn't like how wishy-washy Alyssa was. Also, as a plus sized woman who has had to deal with having boobs since 6th grade, if you don't want people ogling them, you cover them. As a woman who has had to deal with gross people, you learn what to wear. You don't wear skimpy clothes and no support for the girls then get upset that gross people are making you feel uncomfortable. Is it unfair? YES! But if you are as shy and uncomfortable with the attention as Alyssa is made out to be, you do what you can to avoid the attention.

I wish it was longer to flesh out the romance a little. Or maybe some of the parts that dragged could be shortened, because the end was rushed. If Gregory is so scary and tough, why bring a gun and why give up so quickly? He didn't seem like someone to be feared. I did really like the way they shifted was described. Most stories just say the flesh pulls or whatever, but in this one they shed their skin and some of it clings! It was so unexpected and a very horror movie way to shift and I really enjoyed it.

I was a bit disappointed with this read. I have read some of Farrar's work and really enjoyed it and so I gave this one a shot even though the blurb wasn't very exciting. I mean, why not? Blurbs could be great and the book as dry as the desert. Similarly, a book with a bad blurb could be amazing. I've seen it happen and since I had faith in Farrar's work, I gave this one a try.

Firstly, this book read more like a short story, we are thrown into action basically from the first page with practically no background which continues through the novel. Then, in order to make things make sense, Farrar reveals everything about the protagonist and her love interest in one conversation. Mind you, they barely converse at all throughout the novel. I think there are only 10 conversations altogether, if that. It was a bit of deus ex machina in the worst way. It felt like Farrar was taking the easy road with this one. I wasn't emotionally invested in this story at all which was quite disappointing.

Love that Alyssa loved her pack the dark ridge wolves and follows rules and her only family is her older brother holton who is a beta and Alyssa other brother Joel but I wasn’t a fan of alpha Gregor or his alpha female Valerie in the book and love that Alyssa is feisty and curvy wolf shifter and she gets kidnapped by her mate Callum who is a outsider since it parents died ages ago and love the spicy scenes between Callum and Alyssa and love that Callum calls Alyssa ‘darling’ in the book and they decide to leave the pack at the end of the book to start a new life and new pack together and Alyssa gets to see her two brothers holton and Joel before leaving and I just love reading Marissa farrar writing and I loved in this book there was some funny moments between Callum and Alyssa and that Alyssa is a good girls that follows pack rules and Callum doesn’t like following the pack hierarchy at all but love the story and it was a quick spicy read

This one was okay but it didn’t entirely work for me. I had some eye rolling moments while listening as things just didn’t seem to fit/come off real/genuine enough. Overall story wasn’t too bad, it is short so things definitely happen quickly and maybe if there was more room for development of action and characters it would have had a better flow and been less eye roll on certain things. There was just too much flip flopping for me with being kidnapped and completely against it to oh yes yes, back to oh no. It made it hard to connect to story and characters with it. Narrator didn’t have the best female voice either, especially in certain spots that it really didn’t come off favorably for the character.

Fast, entertaining paranormal!

Ah, I'm never disappointed with books from this author. I read this in one sitting. The story takes off quickly and in some aspects I would consider it an insta-romance because everything moves along so fast.

Alyssa is kidnapped and fears the worst but begins to realize that it might just be for the better. Callum is desperate and will go to great lengths to get what he believes is his. Alyssa certainly wasn't making things easy on Callum but her emotions and heart starts to show her the way.

This quick story has danger, suspense, some humor, romance, and one sexy wolf that will do anything to win his mate over.

Alyssa is a wolf shifter, raised by her brothers and their pack. She is finally an adult and their Alpha is planning on making her his mistress. As such, she will never have her own mate or any status in the pack. Callum is a lone wolf alpha that has found his mate, Alyssa. Problem is Alyssa will never go against her pack and mating outside the pack is forbidden. Things didn't start out well for Callum and Alyssa, but when her Alpha and his mate come for her she sees just how far Callum will go to protect her. I cringed in the beginning but by the end I was rooting for Callum and the possibilty of a new pack. Definitely worth the read.

I love a good stalker book, and this definitely has some elements of that. I don't understand how these shifters work... if you have sex with a shifter they are your mate, even if they have one? That doesn't make a lot of sense. There were some holes in the plot that could have been fleshed out, and too much time with the kidnapped scene that makes you not want to care for the hero so much. A little lighter on him, or even having him be a little more caring for our heroine (she gets hurt a couple of times) would have helped that. Overall, and interesting story... I'm not sure I want to see where it goes so I'll have to think on if I want to read the brother's story or not.

The premise of the book is the mate bond and how the 18 yo heroine is identified by the hero. He kidnaps her and basically keeps her tied up until she admits the bond is there.

I didn't like the heroine or the hero very much. I don't think we saw enough of either of them to like them on their own. Since they were the main characters, we were supposed to root for them but we weren't given a real reason to like the hero. The reason to like the heroine is that she would be escaping a sad fate if she stayed in her own pack.

It was a quick read.

Uh oh what a sweet sweet tease. The story opened up abruptly, with kidnapping, and followed up with series of "convincing"; a convincing efforts that entailed series of intense s**ual teasing. Oh what a hot steamy efforts that was. There wasnt much in the story though. I wished there were more. Aside from some quick actions near the end, there was not much in the story. I gave 4 stars of smuttiness, tbh.

He said some nasty things about imagining her giving him oral. It was what he said that bothered me with a very gross description of whether or not she would take it like a natural or whether she’ll be drooling and crying and some other nasty details that made her sound like just a wet place for him to serve himself. I like erotic shifter romance but that was just gross. Mates deserve more respect. I didn’t read too much further. It was ok besides that part.

Great Read

I read this as a short book as a break between heavy reading. For starters it a great story and I love this trope it’s one of my favorites. It says dark and while it does touch on some dark themes. I would place it in the light grey scope. I do normally read pitch black books. It was definitely different from most books in the werewolf genre which was refreshing. I thought it was a charming story.

Wolf Snatched

A slightly different take on werewolves in some aspects made this a different spin to read. Callum certainly has balls and takes what he wants. I liked getting to read his thoughts as well as Alyssa's. This was nice entertainment for the evening. I'll be looking for more in the series.

Done in one quick read

Callum knows Alyssa is his Mate, the one meant for him... if only she knew it as well.

The way these shifters shift is different than in a lot of the shifting stories I've read, there were aspects of it that intrigued me, and worked for me... but the physical process did not sound like it was for the faint of heart.

Alyssa is eighteen and is the alpha's personal slave, running errands at his beck and call. She is plump and curvy, and her alpha is pervy. He will end up mating her as a mistress, if she is not careful. Callum kidnaps her right on the long road that leads from town to the packlands. What will happen to Alyssa, who was raised by her brothers and the pack when her parents died?

I would have liked to like it. I feel like it had some potential, but it tried to cram so much activity within such a short timeline that it just came across as unbelievable for the pace at which the characters acted the ways that they did. There were also a number of places where the physics of the narrative were just.... wat? Things... don't... work like that...

Needs a CW for body horror.

Great Beginning!

This new series shows a lot of promise. The thought of creating a brand new pack and hopefully including her brothers is exciting. I'm looking forward to reading the next one!

A very short fantasy.

Pack members owe absolute obedience to their alpha. Deprogramming is another word for brain washing. Kidnapping is not a cute form of dating. "Sexy" times and small typos.

Not what I was expecting. It was fun and cute but different as to werewolf tales. The ending was too short and a little boring. The dialogue was too long and Alyssa's thoughts are on a loop and she keeps repeating herself. Good thing it was a short read.

Cute and sweet

I didn't love how Callum handled things but over all the story was everything promised. The protagonist is sweet and her internal conflict is very evident from the beginning. The stakes felt real and it had a HEA that felt good.
