Love books about dating apps and have read every book in this series now. It truly has been a great series.
I truly felt sorry of Harper Brown. Here she had lost her grandfather, caught her boyfriend in bed with her best friend, and now moving to a new area being jobless. Oh, it gets even worst for her. It always has to get bad before it gets better, right?
Deputy Knox Carter wanted to find his mate so bad. All his friends had already found theirs. I can only imagine the loneness this must of made him feel. I love the fact that the moment he saw Harper he knew she was his mate.
There is a murder in the town and Harper is the main suspect. I can only imagine the fear, helplessness, and loneliness this must of made Harper feel.
Carter has been order that stay way from Harper while she was being investigated. I can only imagine the inward battle this must of caused. He had to know the fear his mate was feeling.
It was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.
I really enjoyed this story and it's a fantastic read. Knox and Harper are fated mates with an interesting tale from their first encounter. It's a quick read but definitely worth the read.
Awww! Knox has been waiting for what seems forever to find his fated mate. All of the other members of his clan have found their mates, and he’s starting to feel alone. It would be just his luck on the one day that his personal phone is deader than a door knob, that that would be the day when Mate.com has finally found his match. Harper can’t seem to catch a break. On the same day she looses her grandfather and inherits his fishing cabin in Fate Mountain, she walks into her home to find her boyfriend of over four years, in bed with the woman she thought was her best friend. After reeming them out, she packs her belongings and heads out to the only place she can….Grandpa’s cabin! After cleaning the cabin and unpacking her things, shopping for some essentials and eating, she comes across a couple of ads in the local paper she picked up at the grocery store. An ad for a job at the local credit union, and an ad for Mate.com. With time on her hands and boredom setting in, she decides to sign up for kicks and see what happens. Knowing how shifters are about their mates, she settles in and waits to see if there is a match out there for her. Fate, it would seem, hasn’t had enough fun lately, and has a few curveballs set up for Harley and her mate Knox. Will they be able to weather through Fate’s fun? Or has Harley’s luck truly not changed? An awesome short story in the Bear Patrol series. I have enjoyed every one of them, and this one is certainly no exception. Well done!
I liked this book...at least until they tried to send the poor heroine up the river for murder! Harper was still dealing with the death of grandfather when she caught her boyfriend cheating, and was like "oh hell no! Boy bye!" Anyway, she packs up and ends up at her grandpa's cabin on Fate Mountains, finds a job, meets her Match Mate in person and falls into insta-lust/insta-love, gets hot and heavy with said Match Mate between the sheets, then arrested for murder all in the span of a few days! Dang girl! You know what they say: Go big, or go home! Her mate match, Deputy Knox was not letting his mate suffer for something she didn't do! He was willing (and did) put his job on the line to save his girl!
Ugh! Boss man Rollo pissed me off though! I read his book, and loved him, but he really worked my nerve letting his best friend's mate almost go down for murder. Despite the fact that she touched the murder weapon (*slaps forehead and rolls eyes*) what possible motive did Harper have for killing a man who gave her a job just a few days ago? I can see them having her go down to the precinct for questioning, but arrested?! Also, I believe there was a comment about the body being cold, so the murder would have to have occurred hours earlier, which means she had an alibi!
Anyway, I loved the chemistry between Harper and Deputy Knox. I can appreciate a man who will go to bat for his woman, and stand up for her. However, the murder mystery needed a little work!
Sexy and romantic bear shifter tale. After inheriting her late grandfathers cabin in Fate Mountain, Harper finds it to be a retreat from her life when she finds out her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her friend. Curious about shifters and fated mates, she signs up for Mate.com and immediately gets a 100% match! Knox Carter is a bear shifter Deputy for the Bear Patrol who has been looking for his fated mate for what feels like forever, when he gets a whiff of the delicious scent of Harper and see her in all her curvy glory he instantly knows she is his mate. Harper cannot believe that in the span of one day she breaks up with her boyfriend only to be matched with a bear shifter and be his fated mate, can Knox who is sex on a stick really want her? Her past confuses her present and makes it hard for Harper to accept that Knox is really meant for her, will she be able to accept him and love him, or will she run from her fated mate? When a murder happens it through everything into chaos, especially since poor Harper is the prime suspect. What will happen?
Love this series. Harper has headed to Fate Mountain to take up residence in her grandfather's old hunting cabin which her left to her in his will.. Life will be a bit rough for her out here as she is a city girl and winters here are deadly, but at least she has some experience in the mountains as she has spent most weekends with her grandfather. Harper knows about shifters so she decides to join Mate.com and bang she has a 100% match with Deputy Knox Carter of the Fate Mountain Bear Patrol. They meet accidentally while Harper is heading into the bank applying for a position as a teller, they agree to meet later. She has only been working a few days and that morning finds her boss Mr. Black murdered in the office. she has suddenly become a major suspect. Knox does not believe for one minute his mate is guilty, but his alpha Rollo is not so sure and is going to make things very difficult for this pair of lovers to stay together. Thank you to Scarlett Grove for the wonderful review copy. Loved it.
I have enjoyed the stories about the Bear Patrol and watched them find their mates. his one contains to mix romance with action and mystery.
Harper and Knox are meant to be mates but it becomes complicated when she is put in the middle of a murder investigation. Knox is frustrated to not be able to claim his mate until the accusations are settled. Harper was just trying to start a new life and doesn't how she got into this mess. I liked how Knox is a very protective mate and he believes in her when others doubt her claims of innocence. The mystery is solved at the end and does surprise you and rewards you with a happily ever after.
Coming home from the reading of her grandfather's will, Harper Brown finds her long time boyfriend in bed with someone else. So she decides to go and start a complete new life at the cabin in Fate Mountain she inherited. Grizzly bear shifter Deputy Knox Carter has been on mate. com for years with no luck. The one day he can't check, what happens?? Our heroine's new life turns into an emotional roller coaster. A murder investigation can cause problems for the Bear Patrol. A short, fast paced and sexy read.
When Harper walked in on seeing her best friend and her long time boyfriend in bed together, at the worst time of her life; she went ballistic. Her grandfather had just died and she needed support, not more heartbreak. Packing up her things and moving to the only place she could go (Fated Mountain), a cabin where she shared so many great memories with her grandfather. Little did she know, she would meet the man of her dreams (Deputy Knox) and that her life would be changed for the better.
Harper moves to Fate Mountain to start a new life. She moves into her Grandfather 's cabin that he left her. She starts a new job at a credit union and signs up for mates.com. She meets Knox, who she is matched with and he tells her they are mates. He is one of the town's police officers. They go out on several dates, and really feel connected. Then her boss is murdered, and she is framed. But Knox persiveers and digs deep despite his bosses objection. He clears Harper and helps capture the murderers. They have a Christmas wedding.
I was so happy when this was release as its on story! I loved reading the other stories of the Bear Patrol and was saddened that I would have to wait for Deputy Bears story. I was so happy when it was released that I read it in one day! I loved this story as much as the others in the series!
Awesomeness. I read this story last year in an anthology and loved it. I'm so glad that Scarlett put it out solo. Now my collection is complete. I like having collections and the singles. Lol, I know I'm OCD...lol As always a great adventure and suspense romantic hot sexy read on Fate Mountain.
What a great love story.Maybe there is love at first sight or true mates.Knox and Harper had a rough start but things changed real fast.Read this book and find out why every one should live on Fate Mountain.
This reads like a fairytale, not a book. Everything is over simplified, there's no real character development or chemistry between the two mains, take out the sex and it could be a children's book.
If you like shifter's your going to love this book! There's a murder mystery to solve but Deputy Knox knows in his heart that his newly found mate, Harper, couldn't have done it. The love scenes will touch your heart and they are hot enough to melt snow.
This is a wonderful story of love overcoming malice, judgement, controversy and prejudice. I enjoyed it so much that I could not stop reading till I finished the entire book.
From the beginning this story was full of exciting twist and turns. You are kept on your toes with intrigue and sexy shifter in all of his HOTNESS. Who doesn't want a knight coming to their rescue. Can't wait to read the next group of stories.
Loved it! A fantastic plot and wonderful story! Filled with heartbeak, grief, mystery, mayhem, murder, misunderstanding, twiss and turns, but also faith, trust, good friends, shifters, and true mates! In the end true love and justice prevales!
I really enjoyed this book even though it is out of order. Harper and Knox are a cute couple and I liked that she didn't get crazy the morning after. She did a little but Knox made her stop.
Murder, mates and Bears.. OH MY! Deputy Bear is an intensely captivating, suspenseful and sinfully delicious romance. I adored everything Knox was trying to do for Harper. These two are simply perfect for one another. I enjoyed going on this journey with them.
I was relieved when someone was killed, because it meant Harper finally stopped giggling on every page. Smiling or laughing would be okay, but the giggling was just weird. Other than that, a rushed, not too great story.
Knox and Harper's story was just as good as all the other ones I have read. You can not go wrong reading about the bears and their mates on Fate Mountain.
