Very well written. Being a queen doesn’t make life glamorous. Her life in many ways was hard.

Marie Antoinette's life and times are certainly history, but reading this book is nothing like your typical history class! Written in a refreshingly contemporary style, it brings the years before and during the French Revolution to life and makes you feel like you are there. Marie Antoinette and her contemporaries become real flesh and blood people, and not just historical characters.
I loved this book. It is so well written and interesting, it's hard to put down. It will give you a new appreciation for this tragic and yet intriguing French queen. I highly recommend it!
