"Grace wondered when this hurt was going to end. She missed him now more than she ever had. Two years had passed, but sometimes the emptiness inside was almost consuming her. Was it time for her to move on? She didn't know if she could. Some days, Grace didn't know if she could even continue on herself.".......

Grace is living her life, the best she can. She's living it without the love of her life, Adam. She accepts that this is her life alone now. If only her best friend, Brenna, would agree. Brenna is always trying to get her to agree to blind dates.

Grace has lived the last couple years believing that there would never be a future with another man. Then a photographer named, Kenzie, enters the picture.

Kenzie is somewhat of a challenge. His easy going life style and ways make it hard for Grace to give into him. Not to mention his age. Fate steps in though and puts them closer. It's up to Grace. Kenzie is smitten from first sight.

Grief can be a hard obstacle to overcome. Hard to let go, and let someone new into your heart. Can Grace do that? Can she make peace with herself and Adam's death?

Sweet, sad, heart wrenching. You want Grace to be happy again, but is she her own worst enemy? Kenzie is not Adam and nothing like him. Can she allow herself a "New Normal?"

Like her other books I've had the pleasure of reading, this one is also captivating. Goes right to your heart. Well written, and characters that you will feel like you know and love. I love this author, and her books. Beautifully written.

Thank you Beverley Hollowed.

Some books take you on a journey some books are emotional some books make you look at your own life and think and this book did all of that for me.

Grace has a good life, her job, her husband, her friends and then tragedy strikes and she is left feeling adrift and just doing enough to get through each day when she meets Kenzie and is sets in motion what I think of as the second phase of her life.

I really liked Grace, the author writes with such eloquence that her pain leaps off every page, you feel all her despair and confusion. Kenzie is perfect for her, he's drawn to her from the moment he sees her sitting in the park. When they start to work together sparks fly but Grace is wary of getting involved especially when he is younger than her.
I loved this book it is the perfect blend of love and emotion and it is beautifully written. I am sorry this is the authors last book but I wish her well for whatever lies ahead.

Prepare for a tearjerker with 'A New Normal'. But believe me when I say it's worth every emotion it pulls from you.

Grace has a fear of people leaving her. After losing her husband and with no family around her, she clings to the friends she has. Letting people in is something she doesn't easily allow. Her grief over losing the love of her life is simply heartbreaking...

Excerpt:
If she had known that morning would have been their last, she would have paid more attention. She would have remembered every word he said, how he smelt, how he kissed her for the very last time.

Grieving the loss of her husband and thinking of what the future holds just doesn't seem possible. But upon meeting a new employee through her work, she questions her feelings towards him. All the while she's guided by the voice of her husband...driving her forward.

Excerpt:
Gracie, you need to be strong. I need you to learn to live again...You need to find a new normal.

As we learn of her heartbreak and the hurt she's been through, Kenzie and her share a lot of similarities. But can she get her through and help her find happiness again?

Excerpt:
"Kenzie, I am barely held together by string and glue...I don't know if I'm ready to open my heart again. I do t know that I want to. Besides, you deserve someone that isn't so broken."
"Let me be the one to fix you."

This beautiful love story left me feeling emotional. It hurt and had me close to tears in parts, but the journey the author sets you on is full of twists and turns. I admit I would have loved a dual perspective, just to gain more insight from Kenzie now and again but it didn't distract from the beauty this story portrayed. A real page turner, heart fixer-upper. An absolute must read for you romance lovers out there.

Excerpt:
We are meant to be...I have believed that since the very first day I saw you sitting in the park. I didn't know how but I knew that one day I'd move mountains to be the one to make you happy again.

This was a very emotional story but an enjoyable read. I loved the uniqueness of Grace being older than Kenzie and how their relationship developed. You definitely need the kleenex at hand if reading this book but the emotional rollercoaster is worth the ride.
