I’m not conceited. Really, I’m not. It just so happens I have a body a Greek God would be jealous of, and a face that could make an angel weep. Other than that, I’m just your everyday normal guy who happens to take his clothes off for money. Sure, I’ve had to dispose of a few guys for In Safe Hands, the organization I work with that helps track predators and child molesters, but other than that, completely normal. Women flock to me, screaming and paying for the right to touch me, so why is this woman so stubborn? Sadie Belmont’s curvy body and sharp tongue have haunted me since I met her a year ago. There’s something about her that gets stuck in my head like a bad song, and I’m determined to find out why I want her so badly, and why she can’t stomach the thought.
Sadie
I can’t believe I’m doing this. Of all the men in the world, I’m taking Justus Alexander to my childhood home in Oklahoma to meet my mother. A stripper who has a revolving door of women jumping in and out of his bed. Nine months ago when I lied to my mother and told her I had a steady boyfriend, I didn’t expect it to come to this. She doesn’t have long to live, and her only wish is to know I have a husband before she goes. I can’t disappoint her, and male escorts cost way more than I can afford, so when Justus volunteered, I took him up on his offer. I know what he wants. After annoying me with constant pick up lines for a year, he sees an opportunity to get me in bed. It’s not going to happen. I just need to get through this week with my sanity intact.
S.M. Shade writes spicy romantic comedies and steamy contemporary romances with relatable characters. Whether it's a good laugh or a good cry, she likes to grab you by your emotions and make you feel. An unashamed Croc enthusiast and poetry nerd, she can usually be found listening to Indie Rock on repeat and watching birds.
-1 star... And yes I knew he was a stripper before starting this and the heroine doesn't get bothered by this in fact she goes to the club to see him perform!
~Weak, pathetic spineless heroine. ~Piece of shit hero who cheats on his girlfriend.
Oh in case someone says they were broken up NOPE THEY WERE PRETTY MUCH STILL TOGETHER WHEN HE WENT UNDERCOVER! So let me explain he goes undercover and infiltrates a sex trafficking ring because his sister was a sex slave to make it "believable" he goes on dates on those dates he was supposed to sleep with this ow but he gave this ow a excuse saying that he was impotent so instead of sleeping with this ow he stays in the hotel and "hang out" with this woman meanwhile he doesn't even bother contacting the heroine to tell her what's wrong or what he's doing! And why didn't he do the same shit or give an excuse before fucking the ow like he did before???
So when he wants to buy his sister or rescue her and one of the men from this supposed sex trafficking ring tells him he needs to fuck this OW.
And the heroine is a weak pathetic doormat who forgives him. She lets him fuck her AND ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT IS HOW HE SHOVED HIS DICK INTO THE OW!!! Don't ask me how this shit ends because I skimmed most of it. Yep he gets rewarded marrying this stupid weak ass bitch.
“Fuck fuck fuck. She’s not an innocent underage girl, but she is in a position where she can’t say no. One glance at Randall tells me I have no choice. I can fuck her, or end up with a bullet in my head. Probably her too. “I don’t have a condom.” Jana gives a fake giggle and pulls out the drawer beside the bed, displaying an array of condoms, lube and sex toys. Resigned, I grab a new tube of lube and a rubber. Jana crawls backward on the bed, sliding her panties off and opening and closing her legs, giving me a glimpse of her pussy. The flat look in her eyes tells me she isn’t really seeing me now, she’s gone to whatever place in her head allows her to fuck strangers without giving up a piece of herself. Sadie’s blue eyes flash in my mind, and as guilty as I feel that I’m about to cheat on her, I know picturing her is the only way I’m going to get hard. Shoving my pants and underwear down, I grip my cock, stroking it while I imagine Sadie’s hands on me, her plump lips wrapped around me. The condom rolls on smoothly, and I coat it in lube since I doubt this situation will make Jana wet. Bishop takes a seat across the table from Randall, and I try to block them out. At least they’re far enough away so we can whisper and not be heard. “Are you sure?” “Yes, we don’t have a choice, and it’s not the first time. Just do it. Doggy style.” Running her hands over my chest, she gives me a wide smile. “How do you want me?” she asks, loud enough for them to hear. “On your hands and knees,” I order, barely recognizing my own voice. Her ass is toward me now, and we’re faced away from the two psychos watching. Closing my eyes, I picture Sadie. I keep her in my mind’s eye as I slide inside Jana. All I can see is Sadie’s smile, hear her sexy giggle, as I thrust in and out. Jana plays her part, moaning and begging for more, and I throw in an ass slap every now and then until finally, I feel my release building. I’ve never wanted to come less in my life, but my body doesn’t know that and I empty into her with a grunt. “Not even a hint of foreplay!” Bishop laughs, clapping his hands. “Ruthless.” Leaning over Jana’s back, I whisper, “Are you okay?” “Yeah, fine.” “I’m so sorry.” “I know, just keep playing the game.” Pulling out of her, I yank off the condom and toss it in the wastebasket beside the bed. “You can get dressed. I’m done,” I bark, before turning to Bishop. “Now, about Ruby?”
“Sweetheart, please, don’t cry. It’s tearing me up.” When I sit next to her, she shakes her head, keeping it down, her face hidden. “You touched her, kissed her, was inside her.” God, I knew that feeling. Just the thought of someone else touching her naked body makes me want to puke. “No, baby.” I wrap my arm around her, relieved when she doesn’t resist. “I didn’t kiss her or touch her the way you’re picturing. I didn’t want her. It was just a quick meaningless fuck. I had trouble even staying hard until…” Shit. Maybe I shouldn’t tell her that. “Until what?” she demands, wiping her face. “Until I closed my eyes and pictured you. It was so awful. Two guys were watching us, one with a gun in his hand, and even though she told me it was okay, I knew she didn’t want it just as much as I didn’t. All I feel is guilt. Guilt for going through with it, even though I know there was nothing else I could do. Guilt for fucking a woman who didn’t want me.” Pulling her closer to me, I press my lips to her hair. “But it’s nothing to the guilt I feel for hurting you. I just couldn’t have that secret between us. I swear I didn’t want her. I’m not a cheater, Sade. If you can forgive me, I’ll never hurt you again, I swear.” Seconds turn to minutes as we sit in silence, both deep in thought. Could I have done this differently? How can I regret what I’ve done when it brought Hannah back to me? Does that make me just another selfish asshole? Finally, she heaves a deep sigh. “I can’t blame you. I believe that you did it to save the agent, yourself, and your sister, but…it hurts. It really fucking hurts.” “I know, sweetheart. I’m so sorry.” Her glassy eyes gaze into mine. “Do you really love me?” Her skin is so soft as I brush my palm over her damp cheek. “More than I ever thought it was possible to love anyone. I’m terrified of losing you, but if this is all too much to forgive, I understand.” “You don’t need my forgiveness for rescuing your sister. She’s lucky to have you.” “I need you to forgive me for hurting you. I want you to trust me" “I do. I forgive you and trust you."

“So, you’re looking for a cheap hooker?” Justus drops beside me on the couch. Great. I’ll never live this down. “Quit fucking eavesdropping!” “It’s not eavesdropping if I can hear you from across the room. Where did you learn to whisper? In a helicopter?” Ayda covers a laugh and I grumble, “Don’t encourage him.” Sighing, I lean back. “I just want someone to pretend to be a long term boyfriend.
“Your cheeks are red,” he points out, amusement dancing in his eyes. “It’s warm in here.” “Uh-huh.” He digs into the pizza, grinning at me. “You want me. It’s okay. Perfectly natural.”
He manages about thirty seconds of silence before adding, “We don’t have to sleep together. I can just give you the zombie.” I’m totally going to regret asking, but I can’t resist. “What the hell is the zombie?” “You just lie back and get eaten.”
“Babe, I’m an exotic dancer. I’m completely deforested.” Yeah, I saw that last night. And now I’m picturing it again. “Hmm, I guess it probably makes your penis look bigger, huh? Every little bit helps.” “If you want to see cock-a-saurus again, all you have to do is ask.” “No thanks,” I yawn, turning over. “Keep that Tic Tac to yourself.” “Freshen your breath right up.” My body shakes with laughter as he drapes his arm over me.
I started reading this with the intention of only reading a few chapters before bed (famous last words) but ended up devouring the whole book in one sitting. This author has a style of writing that just draws you in with ease and next thing you know you're seeing the words 'The End'.
The story starts off giving you a glimpse of Justus the hero's background and how he's no longer in touch with his sister it's not exactly the happiest thing to read about but it's relevant to the story, we're then thrown into current times and this was where I became hooked right in. The banter between the characters was hilarious at times especially Justus and Sadie the heroine, I felt like I was right there among their group of friends watching them doing their merry dance around each other and I admit to laughing out at some of the innuendos made. Things soon took an emotional turn in which the author really stepped up to the mark the situations were handled with the care and respect they deserved.
You know when they say 'This book had all the feels' well this one really did there was sadness, laughter and tears happiness, upset and joy etc, etc. There was one point where I was like no, no please don't do this and I felt a bit disgusted with Justus but I understand the predicament he faced, I'm soo glad it all worked out in the end.
If you're after a book that will give you a little bit of everything you know love, laughter, hot sex and a dollop of suspense thrown in then I highly recommend this one. It is book three in the series but can easily be read as a standalone.
I look forward to reading more of this series and I'll definitely be checking out other books this author has to offer.
Justus is the first book by S.M. Shade that I read and the third book in the In Safe Hands series. It can be read as a standalone. This contemporary romance had drama, suspense, made me laugh, cry, and feel empathy for the characters. The story is told from the heroine and the hero’s POV.
I had some problems with the plot, sometimes I felt there was too much going on in this book. The conflict could’ve worked better as it was soon forgotten and never mentioned again. However, I couldn’t put it down because the banter between Sadie and Justus was so good! The chemistry between them worked really well and both were likable characters.
It had a very solid beginning, it pulled me in easily, but towards the end I felt it dragged and I wasn’t enthusiastic to know how it would end. I’m curious to read the first two books in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Funny, Cute and He's More Than A Gorgeous Package!😂😍🔥😎💘, (Read Using Kindle Unlimited) Justus (In Safe Hands Book #3)
Sadie is determined not to succumb to the sexy strippers' charms, she doesn't want to be a notch on his bed post!😕 Justus can't get Sadie out of his mind, her curvy body drives him mad and her snarky mouths cracks him up.😂 When she's dug herself into a hole by lying to her dying Mum, he steps in as her fake boyfriend.
Will he be able to prove to her he's more than just a hot body & pretty face? Will she be able to 'fake kiss' him without her libido going wild? Will their fake relationship become more?
I loved Justus but I wasn't quite as keen on Sadie. I didn't like her judgemental attitude about him, although it improved. I did grow to like her more.👍 This ended up being quite sweet. An enjoyable read.🌟
Justus is a stripper, but not just any stripper, the best stripper, well according to him anyways. He's had a hard life, partially growing up in foster care, and being separated from his younger sister. He's been stripping longer than he's been able to do legally, but he had to do something to save up money so he could get his sister out of the system when he turned 18. What he didn't see coming is when he want to find her, he couldn't. She disappeared into thin air. Where did she go? With who? Years later, he helps In Safe Hands get rid of the scum of the earth with his best friends, but he hasn't given up on finding his sister. Sadie Belmont needs someone to pose as her boyfriend when she goes to see her mom. Her mom has a bad heart and she worries about Sadie being alone. Sadie's friends keep telling her to take Justus, but she can't stand his mouth and what is constantly coming out of it. He wants her. Badly. But she won't give him the time of day, nice body or not. Can he convince her to let him play her boyfriend? Or will she go on her own? Find out this and more in this awesome read!!!
how can this be said in a nice way? really it cant, Justus was a manwhore. a manwhore with a good heart, but one non-the-less. yet you still find that you just cant help but fall in love with his character. Sadie is someone that doesnt want to like Justus, but she gets sucked into his charm. with the ups and downs and the miscommunication between these two you cant help but sit there and want more. Shade's way of making you wanting more if her characters is done again, and another book is added to my re-read worthy list.
I devoured this series! Why had I not read S.M. Shade before?! I was having a bad day and had Worth It (that S.M. co-wrote) and LOVED it. So then I was very excited to start this series. And I am anal about what I read and have to read books in order. So I had 2 more books to read prior to this but OMG was that such a great decision! This series is quite amazing. I love all the guys relationships and how they all tease each other but they truly love each other.
And through both books 1 & 2, I was so curious about stripper (oops exotic dancer) Justus. I knew there would be something deeper to how he is the way he is. And the tension between him and Sadie. And just how he was so willing to leap to Sadie's defense and to be her friend, when she needed it the most.
I really enjoyed this book. Justus was the perfect mix between joker boy and serious. It was easy to fall for his wit and charm. Sadie needs someone to pretend to be her boyfriend for a week while she visits her dying mother. In comes Justus. This book made me laugh loudly at numerous points and had me biting my nails with worry at other parts. I didn’t realise this was the third book in the series, so I’m off back to read the other ones. Another great read from S.M. Shade.
Ahhh...This book gave me butterflies and had me giggling. It gave me that squishy, squirmy, mushy, gushy feeling in my belly and had me smiling ear to ear over this couple. It also has me worrying, upset, and angry, shaking my head at times...I loved everything about this storyline, all the things...this book deliveried and I've fallen hard for Justus!
Up now is Justus! The Clown, the stripper, ooh correction Exotic Dancer, the one no one takes seriously.
Justus has had a tough life. He covers his pain with jokes and fun. He loves what he does. He gets women on tap from dancing they all want him and then he helps ISH when needed. But Justus can't really move forward until he does what he promised to do years ago when he left the foster care system.
Sadie doesn't need a relationship. She's strong and independent and does a job she loves. There's no need for a man to upset that. Unfortunately a white lie to her mom 9 months ago is catching up to her. Her mom is growing weaker every day and Sadie wants to go and see her. Only one problem. She told her mom she has man so she can die happy in the knowledge Sadie has someone looking out for her when she passes. As a last resort Sadie has to ask Justus for a favor. He drives her insane but he's her only option.
They spend a week together supposedly as fake boyfriend and girlfriend. In this intimate situation Sadie starts to see underneath Justus' cocky behavior.
My fave one so far!
I love the humor in this book. Both Justus and Sadie are hilarious! But then i also love that this one sinks lower into the darker aspects of what In Safe Hands does. It's like there's light and dark in this book and it was a great contrast.
Justus is absolutely funny as hell and also extremely cocky and sexy. But underneath he's a very thoughtful and loving man. I love how he is with Sadie's mom. The race in the shopping center on the scooters is hilarious! He does everything in his power to make her happy and in turn makes Sadie happy. The darker aspects of his life absolutely broke my heart and when he has to do something he doesn't want to (no spoilers) my heart breaks for him and Sadie.
Sadie is a great advocate for girl power! She's so strong! I love how she doesn't stand for Justus' BS when he tries to push her away! lol As if!! I love how funny she is too the banter between them is great.
The supporting cast brings you updates from previous couples and also sneak's in the future ones. Up next is Tucker!!!
I flew through this book i was so engrossed it wasn't put down until i finished. I loved the storyline. It does go pretty dark i feel and this added to the enjoyment for me.
Once again highly recommend this series. Each one is individual in it's story and keeps you gripped from beginning to end.
After reading Worth It back in January S.M Shade is now one of my favourite authors. I'm addicted to her style of writing.
I really loved this book, it was the perfect blend of humour, angst and hot sizzling chemistry. I couldn't help but laugh loudly a few times and had me at the edge of my seat at other times. The spa scenes had me crying with laughter and giving Sadie high fives for genius.
Sadie and Justus characters were simply brilliant, the banter between them was hilarious, Sadie was one girl that didn't drop at Justus's feet she turned him down for almost a year. It's only when she needs a fake boyfriend to take home to her mums that she starts letting him in.
Unfortunately just as their relationship is building, Justus job with In Safe Hands gets in the way with them trying to take down a sex trafficking ring. There was a scene I found hard but it was well written. Justus' past and his future are colliding and he is finally close to getting his sister back.
There was only one part I had a serious issue with. I understand why Justus did what he did and I can understand why Sadie forgave him but I felt it was too quick, human emotions aren't like that, the betrayal pain would sting for much longer. I also didn't like that she took a week to confront him on why he had disappeared for so long with no word. Not many woman would have been that patient lol.
Saying that I did love this book and I'm now keen to read the first 2 in the series and I'm quite intrigued with Tucker so I'm hoping his book is next.
⭐️I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of his book in exchange for an honest review from the author and BookSmacked Blog ⭐
He gave me goosebumps at times, from previous books in this series I viewed Justus as the funny one. The carefree guy who made me laugh at his antics. While he still made me laugh my ass off from time to time with his wit, we finally get to see another side of him, one that made me SWOON !!!!!!!!
His was pretty relentless in his pursuit of Sadie but also sooooo SWEET ! I couldn't not fall for him in this book.
What starts out as a simple "favor" to Sadie turns out to be a romance that will make your heart melt and your sides hurt from laughing. Some of the scenes in this book had me almost in tears I was laughing so much. Without getting too much into the storyline, we also find out a little bit more about Justus and his past and that will have your heart pounding a bit. I thought at one point I was going to have a heart attack thinking FUCK SHIT SHIT NOOOOOOOOO !!! This can't be happening right now. My heart on edge waiting to see how it would play out.
S.M. Shade gives you a bit of everything with this book. From laugh out loud comedy to heart melting moments as well as a bit of HOLY SHIT drama that will have you on the edge of your seat.
If you haven't read any of this series you definitely should. This book can be read as a standalone and it is not necessary to read this in order but once you do you will want other books from her.
A fantastic read and I can't wait for more from this Author.
I have loved all the other books in this series so I was so excited when I know that Justus would be getting his book. He has to be one of my favorite characters and I could tell that his story would be fun.
Justus was so funny but at the same time he fought his own daemons He was goofy, but wasn't afraid to be his self no matter what others thought.
Sadie was so strong but at the same time she had this vulnerability about her. With what's going in with her mom, she still is able to pull off being sassy even when hurting and it was amazing.
Some parts of this made me super sad but there were some parts I died at! At 18% in I was laughing so hard I was in tears!!!! There was one scene at 23% that I cried and laughed because it truly showed how amazing Justus is. I won't go into details, but one of the best scenes in the book!
There was one scene that I had a hard time with. I wasn't mad, I know why it had to be in there, but that doesn't mean I totally agree with it.
Love seeing all the characters from the past book! They make this whole series amazing!! Dare had been my favorite, but Justus has totally stole that spot.
Overall it was an amazingly addictive story. The characters were totally love able and easy to connect with. The plot, while sad at times was really engaging and easy to follow. I can't wait to see who's next! I hope it's Tucker, but I would love Jeremy too! 5 stars #2OCCJD
Reviewed on behalf of 2 Girls Who Love Books Blog I am a fan of SM Shade’s books. I loved her Striking Back Series and was glad that I could get my hands on this one. I haven’t read the other books in the series, but will do so, since I felt like I am missing big chunks of information on those side characters that appeared throughout the book. All characters were well developed which made me want to stay with them longer and put their books on my tbr. I wouldn’t say you need to read the first two books, but it surely is helpful and gives you more insight in their thoughts. Back to Justus and Sadie. Both characters had their quirks and instantly made me like them. They were not perfect, not even for each other (in the beginning) and that made it refreshingly different to read their story. (Possible spoiler ahead!) They fought, made up and didn’t even realize that they already were in love when the book started and only fell deeper while the story continued. I liked the plot and the writing style, since both complemented each other and the plot itself was very thought through and had no plotholes. The only slightly negative thing I found was the part with the sister. I already guessed what would happen and all that happened too fast and too… unpersonal somehow. I can’t really put it in words, but this was how I felt.
Justus is a beautiful man. So beautiful in fact he works as a stripper. However looks are deceiving because this man lives a double life. One that is dark and honorable, despite what he shows the world. Working with his brothers in In Safe Hands, Justus uses his brains to help stop child predators doing whatever is needed to bring justice to victims. In short, this beautiful man is unafraid to get dirty to save lives. He's loyal and supportive of his chosen brothers and their loved ones, which includes the allusively sassy Sadie. Sadie is a friend of Ayda, Dare's girlfriend and from the first time the two meet, the chemistry is off the charts. Sadie has a laser focus on her career and needs no time wasted by the sexy jester Justus. When she is confronted with a lie, Justus offers himself as her fake boy friend to visit her ailing mother. The sparks, the chemistry, the innuendo between these two in the previous books was great. In this one, simply sublime. Their back and forth erodes their walls and shows both that it is okay to be more and to trust others with their very bruised and battered hearts. This one follows the overarching theme of In Safe Hands and also shows us more insight into Justus passion for helping others. Great book!
Nicely written and very exciting characters in this book. Sadie and Justice are the main characters in this book who are both very well written but very different from each other both have different backgrounds in the story which shaped their character as the story progressed. As the characters develop you will find that Sadie was raised by a single mother who was a Strong and fierce woman who loved her children dearly despite their struggles. Where as Justice was a child who was raised by the State after his parents death, he and his sister Hanna were separated and placed in foster homes and moved from one family to another until Hanna finally ran away and Justice lost contact with her and did not know what happened to her until he turned 18. Then the story took on a new level and became the present where they became the story together. This story was never dull but it wasn’t overly complicated but it was quite fun to read.
Didn't quite make to 4 stars which I'm a bit disappointed about because Justus is such hilariously sweet character and I couldn't keep the smile off my face whenever he spoke. Hahaha.
But this story just didn't have enough of an oomph for me all throughout. This is the third book in the series and I'm seeing pattern to the books where the first half really gets you hooked and by the halfway mark it slows down, occasionally drags a little and then you get an ending that's a little there that you don't know what to think..
I do like the pairing in this one as much as I did with Dare's. There's a lot of banter and chemistry between Sadie and Justus - which I think is the winner here and a big reason as to why I didn't rate this book 3 stars or lower.
This book out of the series quite interesting. I loved Justus' character. He seemed so carefree, happy, loving, but he masks a lot of his pain with jokes, flirting. He grew up in the foster system. He also is looking for his sister, Hannah. He just has a feeling something bad has happened because she has runaway and he is suspicious that she hasn't looked for him. Sadie is Ayda's friend. She needs a fake boyfriend and Justus is the man for the job. They actually didn't realize that they were falling for each other. I don't want to say too much, but I liked this story. I liked how he really was taking Sadie's feelings into account on every decision he was making. I love this series.
The series as a whole is so-so. Solid potential in the characters, that's never developed because of forced injections of drama.
The ISH does and doesn't feature much. It's made to be a big deal, but when stuff comes up it's... not well done. Dare I say, half assed. Completely unrealistic, kind of cringey, and does not handle surviviors of trafficking or abuse well.
They're incredibly heavy topics, and to me the wrong choice for an arbitrary plotline. Do it well or don't do it. Between that and Sadie's mom vague heart failure/needs a transplant- that was also half assed, it takes the shine off the characters.
And when there's a dumbass plot getting in the way of your characters, well. No one wins.
This story really pulled me by the heart strings and crept into my soul! I loved everything about it, the good, the bad and the ugly. All the raw emotions, all the heartache, the punch in the gut, all of it made you feel so connected with each character that you lived the story with them. I've absolutely fallen in love with this series and applaud the author. I'm thankful for the comedy woven into the story that made me smile, giggle and often just burst out laughing, not to mention the action and angst that kept my eyes glued to the pages and sexiness that kept me excited..... Fantastic read! #wreckinballridingunicorn
Omg I cannot get enough of this series! Justus is a cocky stripper with a great bod and can land any girl he wants in his bed. But the girl he really wants keeps denying his advances until a week away together pretending to be fake boyfriend/girlfriend turns to more! I love Sadie and her spitfire personality and it doesn’t change in this book. She gives out as good as she gets and Justus can’t get enough of her. But as things get serious, Justus’ sister is in a situation only he can attempt to get her out of but has to do unthinkable things for her to be free.
Loved the drama, the suspense, the passion, the sad times. Another fantastic read!!
It would be so wonderful If guys like Justus really existed. Well this is a work of fiction so guys like him are pretty much all fictional although I'm sure out there someplace is a guy that is like Justus only we'll never know. There's alot of good feels in this book. The writing is good enough that you start feeling as though you know these people and you're involved with their life. When they mess up you talk to the book and say, " Really , why did you do that?" Your heart races a little bit as you keep reading hoping that the book will take your advice. The writing is just that good. I highly recommend it.
I FLOVED this book so hard. Justus is the kind of guy that acts all tough and rough on the outside but is all warm and gooey on the inside. I couldn't get enough of him. He had me laughing out loud so many times with some of his antics. Just loved him.
Justus kinda threw himself into Sadie's life whether she wanted him there or not. He was kinda like the annoying little brother that you can't get rid of. But when push came to shove Justus stepped up and did the right thing. He started out as having an ulterior motive but that turned into something completely different. The relationship or lack of relationship between Sadie and Justus is tested time after time. You have to grab your copy today to find out what happens. You will not regret it.
I can't even say this book is about friends who become lovers. It's more acquaintances become kinda friends then become lovers then friends then hate each other than lovers again. Does that even make sense? I'm not even 100% sure how to describe there relationship even after reading it. It's a scorching hot roller coaster ride though. Loved every minute of this book.
SM Shade gives you another book that allows you to escape reality for a bit and become engrossed in the words within the book. Each character had his/her own personality and traits that I loved and hated at times. I couldn't put this book down.
I f'in loved Justus! One-click this baby today! You won't be disappointed!
He cheated on her.. need I say more? But if y'all want me to il go on an say how dumb she was for instantly being a stupid idiot and forgiving him coz oh I dono he "loved" her!!! He even slept with her without a condom! And she was super fucking ok with it even after he banged the agent! WDF! and Not to mention the fact that everytime he had a problem he abandoned her.
Can i just sat I read tuckers story before this one and I really liked Justus there with his awesomeness but all I got was goddamn dissatisfaction with how "anticlimactically" she reacted to him cheating on her. WOW
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Justus is cocky and usually very jokey so his constant flirtation with Sadie is never really taken seriously until she need him to go home with her to visit her sick mum. What starts out as fake soon becomes very real. Too real and with a lack of relationship experience Justus has a tendency to run when he thinks things might not be going as he wants or hopes. Add in some family drama and you have a great read. Only criticism...I hated his pet name he used. Did not seem like something a (mostly) alpha man would use.
First and foremost, this book (more than the first two IMO) deals with some touchy subject matter. This book can be read as a stand alone but is better if read in order.
Justus has a big personality and I don't know if I could stand him in real life but this isn't real life and I like that he is over the top. Now that being said I would love to slap him at times. Sadie is an interesting character and I could personally relate to her white easily.
I quite enjoyed losing myself in this story. I hope you enjoy it too.
I loved Justus and Sadie. Sadie is a woman who can take care of herself and doesn’t need a man to feel complete. Justus is a stripper by night, but he is also a joker. He has been after Sadie for a year and finally he gets his chance. Sadie needs a fake boyfriend to meet her dying mother and Justus volunteers. Little did Sadie know, that he would steal her heart. The banter between the two of them had me laughing out loud.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for a honest review.
Justus' story made me laugh. He knows just what to say to Sadie when he becomes her date since she needs to visit her sick mother. She wants her mother to feel that she'll be okay after her mother passes, but Sadie simply can't help enjoying Justus for who he is in the moment. When things go horribly wrong, she is certain that he won't understand what is going on, but she doesn't give him a chance to explain. I just can't get enough of these amazing guys that run In Safe Hands.
