What an amazing book! Julia’s character felt incredibly real her hopes, her doubts, her excitement about stepping into a world so different from her own. I completely understood her struggle between wanting to embrace the glamour of her new life and missing the comfort of her family and home. Colleen Kelley Riggs writes with such grace that it’s impossible not to get swept up in Julia’s emotions. The story is about more than just romance or adventure it’s about rediscovering yourself when life suddenly feels bigger than you ever imagined. This is the kind of story that stays with you long after the final page.

I didn’t expect A Brighter Sun to hit me as deeply as it did. Julia’s story mirrors the feelings many of us have had wanting more from life, stepping into the unknown, and realizing that what we leave behind often stays with us in ways we don’t expect. Colleen Kelley Riggs writes with such warmth and understanding that I felt like she was telling my story at times. The California setting sparkled with excitement, yet it was the quieter moments of reflection that moved me most. This book reminded me that success and happiness aren’t just found in new places sometimes, they’re found in remembering who we are.
