Jack Hammer

What do you do when your toe-curling one-night-stand turns out to be your biggest rival?

Jack Hall is the kind of guy I avoid like the plague. He oozes arrogance with his cocky grin, and his swagger is over the top. Instead of a suit, he wears dusty jeans and flannel shirts, and he smells more like dirt than cologne.

But that doesn’t stop my panties from falling down my legs the moment he waltzes over and drawls the sexiest “Can I buy you a drink, gorgeous?” I’ve ever heard.

I’m only in this small town for a week on business. What harm could it do, right?

So, imagine my surprise when I collide with him the very next day while trying to land my company’s next big client. Turns out Jack knows how to use his tools in more ways than one. He’s the owner of the local construction company, and he’s hell-bent on snagging the contract himself.

But if I don’t stop him, I’ll lose my job. You better believe I’ll do whatever it takes to win, even if it means screwing over the hottest man alive. The war is on.

Problem is, I can’t stop my eyes from wandering to his chiseled abs, his broad shoulders, his massive…hammer.

How can I win when I want nothing more than to jump back into his bed?

A brief book, full of significance. Firstly, let me say that Piper writes in a very fast pace so the story comes straight to point without beating around the bush and that is absolutely amazing. She outlines her characters using concise words and even if they are polar opposites they blend together perfectly. The thing I loved most about Jack was his self-confidence and cockiness, in a few words my panties melted when he appeared in the book. Zoe is a beautiful and confident woman, absolutely convinced that her life belongs to the big city but Jack, with his determination will let her understand that she is meant for him. An overwhelming story and absolutely a must read.

Fun, sexy story of Jack and Zoe and their instant attraction, not knowing they are professional rivals. Jack is a small town guy looking to secure a contract for his family construction business. Zoe is from the big city and she's in town to get the contract for her employer. Failing to do so will mean losing her job. Plenty of delicious sexual tension, very creative steamy moments, and some unexpected realness that makes this more than just a run-of-the-mill smutty story.

Jack and Zoe are explosive and combustible at the same time. These two are so perfect for each other, but they both fight it to the very end. The scenes in this book are absolutely hot. I loved the ending.

Zoe's a New Yorker who comes to this little town for a week on business, a job she must get or else she's without a job. There's no hotel, so she ends up at the B & B, which is owned by Harper, with it old finishes. She's bored & decides to go to the local bar. Jack & the other 2 brothers, Luke & Noah, also known as the Hall brothers, owns a local construction company & they're also at this bar when his youngest brother dares him (like they used to in school) to flirt with certain rules, with this lady (Zoe) at the bar. Being the man he is, Jack doesn't back down & starts chatting Zoe up. Which leads to some hot attraction between them & they end up going outside where they have some hot as hell sex. When meeting up with the developer the next day, they both realize that they're each others competition. Now this is where the plot thickens, because even though they're competition, they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other.
This is really a great read which lets you get lots of laughter as well as making your heart beat faster.
I can't wait to read the next book about Noah & Harper!

I volunteered to review an ARC in order to provide an honest review. Classic story about two people from different world's but the kicker is that they are fighting for the same dream. Zoe and Jack had great chemistry which made their relationship that much more believable. I am dying to find out what is Noah and Harper's deal.

This was a quick instalove story which I enjoyed. However, it only gets 3☆ because there were a lot of grammatical errors and mistakes.

Jack Hammer, by Piper King, is the first book of the Blue Collar Alphas series. In this story, we meet Jack Hall, one of the infamous Hall brothers and up & coming contractors. Jack is in for a battle upon meeting Zoe - they are both after the same thing, but only one can win or can they compromise and find an agreeable solution? This was a fun story to read with energetic chemistry abound, along with some hilarious hi-jinks. It was great and I look forward to reading more on the other Hall brothers and what "trouble" they get into.

You want this blue collar man!

This is my first Piper King book, and won't be my last. It's short and electrifying. And Jack is amazing.

This story centers on Zoe and Jack. Zoe is a city girl sent into thr country on business, and she ends up meeting Jack. From there on, the sparks don't stop between them, whether in public or private. Zoe thought she knew what she wanted in life, but Jack opens up a new side to her, showing just how wild and determined she can be when she wants something. Likewise, Jack has his eyes opened by Zoe, and when he wants her, it's a fun, sexy, hot ride you don't want to miss.

Overall, it's a short story full of sizzling chemistry and arguments as these two duke it out. It's fast-paced and well-written, with few grammar mistakes. Thoroughly enjoyable if you like to read about the fine line between lust and hate. There's some intense instalove happening here, and you can't help but cheer it on. I highly recommend this book!

Getting even

Zoe comes into the small town on business and has no inclination of meeting a man. That is until Jack pours on his charm. The only bad thing is that they are both after the same business deal. More than sparks fly in this fun read.
