He has translated Bram Stoker's Dracula into Malayalam. He created two two fictional detective characters - Marxin and Pushparaj. Now he lives in Kottayam, Kerala. He had published many books on tourism and other India-related subjects. Many of his books are translated by Sivan to Tamil language.

தமிழில் அமானுசிய கதை களத்தில் எழுத்து குறைவு என்றே நினைக்கிறேன். இந்திரா செளந்தராஜன் மட்டுமே எனக்கு நினைவில் வருகிறார்.

மலையாள கதையாசிரியர் கோட்டயம் புஷ்பனாத்தின் இந்த கதை ஒரு அமானுசிய தளம். தமிழில் சிவன் சிறப்பாக மொழிப்பெயர்த்து உள்ளார்.

மந்திரவாதி, மோகினி, பூதம், பலி, மூர்த்தி, தேவி என பல ஆர்வமூட்டும் கதை. அவரின் விவரிப்பு கதையின் பிம்பத்தை நம் கற்பனையில் விரியவைக்கிறது.

கதையின் தொடக்கத்தோடு தோன்றும் விறுவிறுப்பு கொஞ்சமும் நலிவடையாமல் கதையின் இறுதி வரை வருகிறது.
