What would you do for one million dollars? Better yet, what would you not do? My name is Ella Taylor and I had to answer that question. I signed the contract. I agree not to ask questions. And I thought it would only be a tryst between me, Tobias, and Preston--the two billionaires who now owned me for seven days. I couldn't have been more wrong...
One contract. Two guys. Three players. Four strikes. Five rules. Six zeros. Seven days.

Well, this serial was certainly intriguing! The first in a series of seven serials, 'One Contract' is attention grabbing and serves to set the stage for things yet to come. It has definitely got my attention. Although this story is just getting started, I'm very curious to see where it will lead. In fact, I know that I will be diving right into the next serial immediately.
The heroine, Ella Taylor, is really in a bad spot. After being dumped by her boyfriend for another woman, she is stuck in an expensive NYC apartment that she cannot afford. To make matters worse, she has lost her job. Facing certain homelessness, she is desperate.
Out of nowhere, she receives an invitation to interview. Despite the unusual manner in which she received this unsolicited request for an interview, she is intrigued. The invitation comes from a well-known billionaire that made his fortune as a result of developing a new social media platform. Without a doubt, she has to land this job.
After a brief initial interview with the billionaire, Tobias Benton, Ella is invited to a second, more personal interview over dinner. What Ella discovers is far more than she bargained for. She's offered an opportunity that she isn't in any position to turn down, no matter how uncomfortable it makes her.
Ella is introduced to Preston Lucas, Tobias' partner. The two men would like for her to play a game with them for the next seven days. If she wins, she'll get more money than she could possibly earn in years, much less in a week. If she lasts the entire seven days, she'll still get paid a significant amount. Only if she loses does she leave empty-handed. Sounds easy, right? Wrong.
The two men promise that Ella will not be harmed, but it is clear that there is far more to this game than a little kink. She is expected to submit to them completely. She also isn't allowed to ask any questions. The only assurance she has is that she won't be damaged irreparably and that she will be given pleasure beyond anything she's ever known.
As expected, Ella accepts this unusual proposition after wrestling with her morals. One super-sexy scene, and I'm hooked. I'm dying to know what these two are really up to. It is clear that there is far more at play here than just a kinky sexual fantasy. I'm definitely jumping right into the next serial immediately.
If you're looking for a quick, steamy, erotic read, then this is a great one. It can easily be read in one sitting. It is the first of seven, but all of the serials have been released so you won't have to wait before diving into the next one. I enjoyed every minute of this ménage short.
Ella is desperate for a job. Preston and Tobias are offering her the Game. She can play it for a week. If she wins; she will be two million richer.
“And how do you win?” “That’s the beauty of it, you won’t know it until the end.” “That seems a little unfair.”
Two men, one woman. Obviously they share, obviously they need a slave. But there is something more hidden in their suggestions. Something darker. Something that demands no safe word.
To be honest, I was not sure if I liked what I was reading at the beginning. There is a contract and I was thinking 'Oh no, not another 50SOG times two…'. But when the first book finishes, it is clear that the Game is not just sexual.
The books in the series are very short and they end faster than you think.
4.5 Hot Hot Hot Stars! What would you do for a million possibly 2 million dollars? Ella is jobless, broke, getting ready to be homeless and just down on her luck. Until she gets a phone call for an interview. This is no ordinary interview though. They want Ella for 7 days! They want her to sign the contract! They want her to play the game with them! They want her to follow the rules or she loses the money! Oh and there is no safe word!
Rules aligned within the contract, not to be broken, are as follows: 1) Never leave 2) Never ask question 3) Never speak of this 4) Never develop feelings 5) Always submit
Preston and Tobias whooooweeeee!!!
These two men look like wolves, waiting, preying... and although my stomach is unsettled, the allure swarming around them is nearly undeniable. They are like the forbidden fruit. One bite may kill you, but how will you ever know until you taste it?
I'm hoping we are going to get some man on man action!!
"Look at me," he commands. I do, holding his gaze as he drags a finger across my chest, allowing it to slide through the warm, wet mess Tobias left there. His eyes drop to my mouth just as he places his index finger against the seam of my lips, pressing inside.
This was super short but the next book will be here March 10th! I was quick to preorder! The ending just leaves you wondering what kind of games are going to played and had you rooting for Ella to win!!
Love these two authors together!!! Can't wait for more!
Not even a promise of hot?? sexy times can't trick me to continue with series. I still have some standards ya know lol. I guess I'm not open minded enough to stomach this book. I just can't tolerate how these "Heroes" treat the h. I'm sure there's gonna be some twist blah blah... but life is too short, my tbr is piling up. But let me know if the heroine finally loses her head with all the rough hair pulling, and jaw grabbing these wannabe dominant smirking dbags did.
Ella was desperate for a job, but how desperate was she? Will she sign a contract belonging to not only one man, but two men for one week, with no questions asked for one million dollars?
I was so intruded with this story, I mean HELLO, one woman and two men! I was all in from that alone, but as I read I realized how different it is from the typical story about a woman signing a contract to a man. The fact That she had to play their games with out knowing ahead of time what exactly she was getting herself into was brilliant.
Tobias and Preston are hot alpha males!!! I'm not sure who I thought was hotter, but that's okay. I'm curious to know, how close are they? ;)
I can't wait for the rest of these novellas to come out!!
*I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest review* ~Alison
Holy Hotness!!! This is a short read, but there's so much steam you're left panting, needing a cold shower, and wondering how to find yourself a pair of Alphas like Preston and Tobias! I'm looking forward to the next installment of this sexy game because if this first novella is anything to go by, it's going to be explosive!!
I was hooked by the blurb, then as I dove into the first chapter, I couldn't put my Kindle down until I'd read the last page, then wondered where the rest of the story was because DAMN that was HOT!
Awesome start to what can only be a hot, sexy, series!
*I received an ARC for my honest and unbiased review.
I think it's fair to say I'm already hooked on this short, sexy, series-instalment read!
This story grabbed me instantly and with every page read my anticipation wound tighter & tighter. I didn't put it down once. I couldn't.
The chemistry is scorching & electric - one handed reading at its best.
Tobias & Preston demand your attention just by simply being on the page & even though there are still far more questions than answers - you can't help but hope that this is a game Ella will win.
The story feels familiar but unknown on the same moment....It's quite intense and I think there are two possibilities. Either the series will be fantastic or totally wrong...I am willing however to take the chance to go on since I am totally crazy for LP Lovell!
Give it a try and let's talk about it...yes, it's the kind of series that we need to talk about!
I've been curious about The Game series for a while box, so when I got the opportunity, I just dived into it.
One Contract sets the tone of the series, intriguing, suspenseful, scorching hot; the authors captivated my attention from beginning to end. Ella, sweet and beautiful Ella, thinks she is having an interview when, really the CEO makes her a proposition she wasn't expecting, a proposition she neither can or wants to refuse. "One million dollars." "What would you be willing to do for it?" "Or better yet, what would you not do?" Tobias and Preston want Ella for a week of submission, body, mind, soul, and they won't take no for an answer. They want her to play a games she doesn't understand, play along with whatever challenge they come up with, and most importantly never ask questions. The only rules she knows are: 1) Never leave, 2) Never question, 3) Never speak of this 4) Nver develop feelings, 5) Always submit.
The two men are very different, so between them and they good cop/bad cop strategy, she doesn't stand a chance.: they have a plan, maybe something bigger than what she thinks, they know how to play her, using their charm, which make them dangerous players/partners.
The chemistry between the three of them is incredible, be warned, you might need an extra set of panties when you read this series. The dynamics is all about power, theirs or hers. I absolutely loved the way Ella's emotions, conflict, fear, lust were handled. In all of this, she navigates blindly without loosing her strength and fierceness, although thry made her very vulnerable.
After that ending, I'm glad the next book is ready, and I'm jumping on it right now !!!
*ARC provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review, thank you !
"He seems like a beautiful devil persuading me to sign away my soul."
The blurb sounds simple but the game you are about to play through this series is not. Honesty, does it take much more than that to get you to want to read it? Two guy, one girl and a game that you can tell is going to be scandalous? Sign me up. One Contract is the first novella in a 7 part series that will be released within two week intervals.
While we certainly have a bit to go, I can already tell this series is going to deliver me one of my top favorite males in a threesome. Tobias and Preston may share women but they are complete opposites. I can just tell there's a bit of a darker side to one of them and I can't wait to get more of that. Between the two of them, you will get just about anything you'd want from a hero. There's a bit of sweetness, a bit of roughness and a whole lot of sinfully delicious commanding.
I will admit that in the beginning I felt like the flow of the writing was a bit staccato for my personal taste but it quickly morphed into a steadier pace. I only mention this because I don't want anyone else to feel the same way and make the mistake of not continuing through the entire book.
Overall, I enjoyed the start of this very promising series. I can't wait to get my hands on the next week and discover more of where Tobias, Preston and Ella will take us.
This was at best 2.5 stars. Only my respect for both writers is holding on to that third star for review purposes.
I honestly love both of these authors other books - this one didn't work at all though. Way too obvious, it made me roll my eyes and sigh in annoyance more than once.
I really do think that they are both better than this book. So I'm moving on, but will happily read other books they write.
Ella is skint, close to been evicted and unemployed. Just when she's about to lose all hope she gets called to a job interview with Tobias. Still not sure what to expect, she meets for a second meeting and that's when she meets Tobias' partner Preston, and the terms of her employment become clearer.
One contract. Two guys. Three players. Four strikes. Five rules. Six figures. Seven days.
I really liked Ella. She's desperate, she's backed into a corner, she's confused and doesn't know how to play 'the game'. She's having to learn as she goes and I couldn't help but want her to play the game and win it.
This novella is a quick read (to be expected with a series of novellas) and one of the things I love the most about books like this is the getting to know the characters and the build up. Tobias and Preston are both very dominant, stand off ish characters and although we don't find out much about them in this first book, it's definitely left me desperate for more. I want to delve a bit deeper into 'the game' and I can't wait for the next book so I can do just that.
Ella, jobless, homeless with an offer of complete submission for 7 days in return for one million dollars. A game played by two rich and powerful men. A game they have played before.
The end goal? I haven't a clue its a sickening prospect that anyone with wealth would make a move on someone so down on their luck with nowhere else to go and no person to turn to and I am so eager to find out where the whole game series will go eager to find out what is behind Tobias and Preston's motives.
LP Lovell & Stevie J Cole are two dynamic and devious authors when their heads are together and as a reader having read previous books by these ladies I know I'm in for an unpredictable ride.
A short story where each book will be a day in the contract, so seven in total. Looking forward to book 2.
This was a short quick hot read that I liked. Ella Taylor's life is a mess the company that she worked for went bankrupt then he live in boyfriend left her a note telling her that he is leaving her for a 20 year old. Ella has no job and no money her rent is due and she has a mountain of bills to pay. She goes on a job interview and meets hot sexy and rich Tobias Benton. Then Tobias makes her in offer she can't refuse she meets his business partner Preston Lucas the man that she saw on the subway. The offer is 7 days with the two of them it's a game and if she wins she walks away with 2 million dollars. This was a pretty good short quick read that I liked and kinkier version of the movie Indecent Proposal. I have read Ms. Lovell's books before this was my first time reading Ms. Cole this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. This was book one in this series and I am looking forward to reading the next book.
Holy Shit! That was... Awesome! I seriously just demolished this book/novella! Story line is awesome, it's mysterious, and sexy yet you find yourself putting yourself in Ella's position; thinking what would I do?. Ugh, I need the second installment in this series now!! March 10th can't come soon enough!
If you are looking for a hot, dominant, mystery read (cause it's still unclear what this game truly is) I suggest picking this one up! Am so intrigued to see what is going to happen next!!!
A good start off to this series. One word for what I'm feeling right after reading book 1, Utterly CURIOUS about what the heck is this so called game all about.
This one is quick hot bite that all starts with Ella who's in need of a job urgently otherwise she'll be on the street soon.
Although, she's searching for a job a very mind boggling proposition comes her way when the CEO of a huge company, Tobias and his stranger friend, Preston, offer her a very weird offer for one million dollars.
It's like a game where she has to stay for seven days and fulfill the agreement drawn. Mind you this is no easy games when the terms dictates all out submission. And these games do get dirty and super hot too. 🔥🔥
But I have so many questions for why Tobias and Preston are playing this game and who's the other player. Also what is their end games. After knowing that secret conversation at the end I'm so scared and don't understand the underlying and hidden agenda that's something Tobias is hiding from ella.
Poor ella, she has no idea what she's gotten herself into. Can't wait to dive into the next one.
”One million dollars for a mere seven days of your life.”
Unlike every other book and series I have read by this duo, this was unfortunately not dark. It’s also not a complete book but a collection of chapters that, if combined with the other “books“ would make one complete book. It is also full of typos and desperately needs to be proofread. On the positive side, things are not at all predictable and the sex scenes are intensely hot.
Really good start to this series Ella is skint and being evicted from her home then she gets an offer of a life time will she refuse she really doesn't have a choice either be homeless and no money or sign the contract for seven days.. I am so intrigued to see how this all plays out.. I am Liking the characters so far but that could change lol now on to book 2.
Title: One Contract Author: LP Lovell & Stevie J. Cole
5 amazing stars
The first noel I've read by this author duo was War Poppy - a contemporary romance that had taken an often overlooked subject and brought it to the forefront, making my eyes tear up more time than i'd care to admit. One Contract was completely different from that story and no less captivating. These two write a seamless story - there's no way i can guess who wrote which part and i absolutely loved that aspect. Ella is at the end of her rope after her boyfriend leaves her, about to get evicted from her apartment. So when Tobias calls her in for an interview, the last thing she ever expected was to be offered a minimum of a million dollars if she can follow the simple rules, double that amount if she can win the game. Instead of just one man, the intense Tobias, Ella must also contend with Preston, no less dominant than his best friend Tobias.
4.5 sexy dreams
Oh my god! I want that second part to find out what happens! It wasn't exactly a cliffhanger, although it feels like it, but it absolutely leaves you wanting more. Neither Tobias or Preston are ready to admit defeat and take their rules very seriously, never letting any slip go by unnoticed; however, Ella isn't ready to let these two win without a fight. I absolutely loved this trio and i can't wait to find out how their week will end and find out who will be the victor in the games: Ella, Preston, Tobias or all three of them.
Over the past few months, I have become a complete addict to L.P. Lovell's writing. L.P.’s detail to description places her reader’s right into her stories. And this is most definitely a story you want to feel part of, it is hot, stimulating, and left you with a need for more the moment it ended. The plus to this little series is that I was introduced to a new author as well. I cannot wait to devour more of Stevie J. Cole's books.
The moment I read this blurb, I instantly knew I needed her latest mini-series.
One contract. Two guys. Three players. Four strikes. Five rules. Six figures. Seven days.
No safe words.
Are you game?
If that did not sell you on this book... Let me just drop this in right quick.
1) Never leave, 2) Never question, 3) Never speak of this, 4) Never develop feelings, 5) Always submit.
Seriously, what could go wrong for our leading lady Ella Taylor who was down on her luck until the power Mr. Tobias Benton asked her to a meeting?
Let's just say that Ella might not have really thought this contract through when she signed it. They do say curiosity kills the cat. I am just praying Ms. Taylor comes to her senses soon.
Ella was drawn to the dark and captivating Tobias Benton the moment she met him and his partner in crime Preston Lucas was not hard to look at either. The pull to them was intense along with her inner consciousness telling her to run. You can only guess which one won out with her internal battle.
Her first meeting with Preston and Tobias together was hot as sin, left me intrigued, and terrified for Ella all at the same time. I could not decide if I should fan myself or worry.
This story is fast-paced from the moment I started reading it and left me growling at my kindle when it ended. All I can say is that I wanted to yell at Ella "you go girl" and "run for the hills" all the same time!
Can I have book two now, please?! I will even bat my lashes if that would help me get it soon her. LOL
Title: One Contract Author: L.P. Lovell & Stevie J. Cole Series: The Game #1 Genre: erotica Themes: contract Heat: 3/5 Rating: 3/5
It's important to note that this is a serial, so the books are all pretty swift and fast-paced - and if I'm honest, that's not really my preferred format. I prefer a bit more depth to my books. Having said that, Lovell & Cole are both excellent writers, so I thought I'd give this a chance, especially with its filthy premise.
This was basically an establishing shot, really building up the plot for the upcoming releases, rather than much happening in it. It was hot - it always is with these two authors - but I was left feeling a little cold towards it as, to me, it felt like it was just going in and ticking a load of erotica boxes. I want a little more originality, and I want my underwear to be blown off me.
I'm still not 100% sure who the two heroes are, which was my main gripe. Aside from the physical descriptions at the beginning, there was just nothing throughout the pages to remind me who was who, so I struggled to visualise a little.
Despite that, this is a worthy opener to this intriguing new serial, and my expectations are still high for its sequels.
