ALPHA DADDY is my first book by Ava Sinclair and it most certainly WILL NOT BE MY LAST!!!

I love me a smoldering hot shifter romance and couple that with a deliciously dominant DADDY shapeshifter and I am one seriously happy camper!! The erotic interludes were sizzling hot, the spanking scenes made me tingle in all the right places, and I rooted for this couple to triumph over evil and revel in their heard-earned HEA!

The author did a magnificent job with the mystical world building of the werewolf clan set against the majestic Alaskan wilderness backdrop. I was immediately sucked in during that breath-stealing rescue sequence when the beleaguered heroine's life hangs in the balance until the almighty Lakota Longtree saves her from the dastardly BEAR, his worst enemy, takes her under his protection and claims her as his own!

I love erotic romances that warm the heart, titillate the senses and give me shivers, and ALPHA DADDY did all three! The romantic chemistry between Lakota and Carly was COMBUSTIBLE from start to finish...and OMG this couple literally OOZED sparks!!

Ava Sinclair is just a MASTER at her craft--her spellbinding prose, rich characterizations and highly erotic tone, woven into the fabric of a beautifully plotted, thrillingly emotional love story, makes for an UTTERLY ADDICTIVE read. And GAH!!! Lakota Longtree is one scintillatingly sexy daddy shifter!!! So strong and fiercely commanding, stern and formidable, but he also has his sweet, nurturing, achingly tender side too. Sighhh…I just ADORED how doting and protective he was with his adorably defiant “little mate"…made me all warm and tingly, and um did I mention those spanking scenes were HAWT?!!!!!! Well it bears repeating!!! I thought the age play elements were sweet and seductive but not overly done either.

I need feels with my kink and Ms. Sinclair certainly delivered on that front! Both the H&h have experienced tragedy and loss but together they find their true kindred spirits, their home, in one another. Carly and Lakota’s visceral, soul-deep bond stirred my heart throughout, and the ending was utterly divine!

BOTTOM LINE: ALPHA DADDY made me yearn for one of my own!!

I will be the first to admit I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this Novella. Yes it is definitely written for those over the age of eighteen only. but the sex scenes are not the focal point of the story. From the first line I was drawn in by the raw emotions Carly was drowning in. The suspense is starts in the first chapter and does not let up until the threat to Carly and the wolves is resolved. *How this comes about will surprise you. There are few raw words, but overall I would call it a suspense filled, paranormal romance.


With strong well defined characters and a well written fast paced plot there is very little to complain about other than I was sorry to have it end. I wish Carly had the gift, but the bonds between Lakota Longtree and Carly Fowler helped make up for the small disappointment. Thank you Ms. Sinclair for an enjoyable hour.

This is a story about a young headstrong lady who learns very quickly about her heritage and the legacy/secrets her adopted father left behind. After her father is murdered in her mind by Bruce an evil man who had been trying to stop his reaserch into wolves and building a safe place for them, she is attacked whilst scattering his ashes by a bear. She is helped by some wolves and when she wakes up and told that she is part wolf, and is now part of the pack by Lakota the alpha. She finds it hard to except the dominance idea at first, but especially enjoys the spankings. Eventually her and Lakota mate but Bruce is just waiting in the wings to ruin their plans and attack them to drive them away from the land. Will he succeed, will they escape or live, what exactly happened to the previous alpha. Read the book and all questions will be answered. There are enough secondary characters for another couple of books at least. A couple of hours to read maximum with a content suitable for older teenagers due to some sexual scenes. I really enjoyed this take on the paranormal. There weren't a bunch of different types of shifters. They weren't public, they didn't go public with their existence, they were small in number and very secluded. All of these aspects made it seem realistic. I loved the speed at which this story unfolded, and how detailed the story was. I loved all of the backstory, and the explanations and inside thoughts. The relationship between Lakota and Carly felt natural in the progression. This is the second book I have read by Ava Sinclair, and I have really enjoyed both of them. The emotions she can invoke with her words suck me into the story and I'm almost shocked when I reach the last page. I love the main characters, but the side characters also play a big part in things. I hope to see a story about Sam someday. It would be nice to see if he finally made peace with his past.

Even with all that, this work turned out to be more enjoyable than I thought it would be, with a unique spin on the wolf-kind and culture. When explained, the pack culture made pretty good sense that it would evolve that way to ensure the safety of the pack and it's members, so it wasn't offensive. There is also a truly villainous psychopathic and crazy Bear shifter who is just awful throughout the book. So much so that I found myself cheering his payback when it came. Thanks for the book-cation into your shifter world. Looking forward to future visits with sequels to this title even though it is a wolf book. You have made it fresh again.

What has native Americans, wolf shifters, lots of action, and back door play? This book!

Carly is trying to continue her father's dream of researching and land preservation of a wolf pack. After she is attacked by a bear in the middle of the woods, she is saved by the very wolves her father was researching.

Lakota is doing his best to help his pack and his family preserve their way of life. When he comes across a bear attacking a woman he never realized he would meet his mate and that they would have to fight a ruthless bear shifter who wants nothing more than to get rid of the wolf pack and claim their land as his own.

This book was well written and kept me enthralled from start to finish. It touches upon bdsm and ddlg but doesn't consume the whole story. I very much recommend this book

Lakota watched young Carly with her adopted father many years ago and was attracted to her then knowing that she would be important to him one day. In the present, he saves her from being attacked by one of her father's and Lakota's enemies who has a dark secret. Lakota and his family also share such a secret but he is uncertain as to how she will react. The writing about these two is tender and lust filled. Yes, there is domination within the story but it isn't such that it would upset anyone. The writing of their love story was beautiful. I enjoyed this so much. definitely recommended!

It was a great shifter romance, with a little bit of steam i.e spanking if that floats your boat, then you are going to love this book. But aside from that, it was actually a great story, with good characters and enough action to keep you turning the pages to find out what happened next. It's a little short hence the four stars as I managed to read it in one evening, but it would be a shame if this was a one off, as I would like to see some more of this story, maybe Sam story next? so to sum up if you're Ok with a bit of dominance and love shifter stories then you will truly enjoy this book.

Carly Fowler was living and staying on the mountain that her adoptive father owned. Their plan was to open a research center and study the wolves. While spreading ashes a bear attacker Carly. Lakota and his fellow wolves come to her aid. After her conviless with Lakota and his sister she is ready to go home. Lakota was not ready for her to leave as she was not safe. Passion runs deep and Carly is fighting the feelings for Lakota and his dominant ways about him. I enjoyed the story and characters.

Not your usual DD/lg story, I still liked the premise and the supernatural elements. I felt as if this story was more of a shape shifter romantic suspense. The world building around the WyldKind was interesting and I would have liked to know more about that. There wasn't really a mystery as to who the bad guy was. Instead, the "secret", if you want to call it that was Carly herself. Who she was and how she fits. I also really liked the character Sam and how he didn't know how to handle all his anger about his dad's death. The love story was a bit "insta-love" for me and I didn't see much chemistry with these two. Otherwise I enjoyed the book.

I enjoyed this book. The story is fast paced and the plot is engaging.
Carley is grieving her adopted father. Freeing his ashes when she is attacked by a bear. She would be dead of she was not saved by a pack of wolves.
She is badly injured and wakes up in Lakotas home. Lakota is the wolf that saved her.
She is in danger and Lakota is adamant she is his to protect.
An enjoyable story with some interesting shifter law.

It has everything I love.
Shifters, alpha men, spanking and making babies. What more could I ask for? Carly and Lakota's story was heart wrenching at moments but always had the underlying sexual awareness. Ava did amazing with this book. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy shifter books. I know which author is next on my list for binge reading. Happy reading!

I didn't read this the first time it came out but now Ava Sinclair has re-published it and "brushed" it up more. I enjoyed Lakota and Carly's story so much. And while you can easily guess who the bad guys are, this was a page turner to see what was going to happen next. I love shifter stories but have to be well written for me to get into them. This one was. I'll have no trouble recommending this book to anyone who asks for hot and steamy shifters!!

It was OK but it didn't blown me away. The smut is very light (extremely). No character development whatsoever and the plot was very cliché. The whole father figure thing threw me off. The mates were almost none existing. Sam was the only that had some character development but the author definitely could have done more with him.

Couldn't put this book down ! Shifter books are one of my go toos for reading and love that it also including d/s. Carly is a strong willed woman , Lakota( hope I spelled that right ) is a very protective man in all the right ways. One thing that really stood out for me was family , once your accepted your always protected.

Ava Sinclair is a fantastic writer. This shifter romance is a page turner that kept me reading straight through to the end. Carly and Lakota get their Happy Ever After. This book would be the perfect to a series. I'd really like to follow the stories of the other characters. Read it you’ll enjoy every page.
