About the author

Lindberg är känd främst för sina trollmålningar; han illustrerade bl.a. flera barnböcker med text av Jan Lööf. Han var också mycket intresserad av botanik och målade växter och svampar. Under många år arbetade han med en ny utgåva av Medelpads flora (ännu inte utgiven). Han tillbringade mycket tid kring Medelhavet, bl.a. på Sicilien, där han dokumenterade växter, framför allt orkidéer.

Lovely norwegian story about trolls ,excellent story

The illustrations alone would have made this a 4/5 at least; they're gorgeous. But the story was less remarkable.

The story is a little choppy and doesn't resolve each thread that it introduces. I guess this might not be uncommon for children's books, but, reading it as an adult, it was definitley something I noticed.

I read the English translation, which also may have resulted in some loss of nuance in the text.

Still, a cute book.

På norska men för en elev på svenska är det inget problem för att följa den roliga historien. Bilderna är så vackra!!

Gosh, what a wonderful story. My biggest hurdle with this book was to say troll chrildren. Sweet and caring childrenstale, with the most amazing illustrations.

A cute souvenir from my holiday! I enjoyed the illustrations and the personality of each troll. There’s some nice messages about respecting and enjoying nature too.
