Reading this book is its own Super Power. A lot of actionable advice I wish I'd been exposed to when I was 20. I'm 60 but still found a awful lot of great life advice. Very Stoic in the Greek and Roman sense. The advice centered on doing the hard work, being upright, controlling only what within your control, focus on the process. "You will either be an inspiration or a cautionary tale."

I follow Ed on Twitter and he's a cool dude. His tweets (the good ones, about 30% are pure BS) have a way of knocking you down a peg and inspiring you to toughen up and take action.

I revisit this book from time to time and engage in an action that has been recommended. It's good.

Like having a conversation with a true friend

Ed has such a great communication style that this book reads more like a true friend, who knows you well, knows what he’s talking about, and is someone you can trust. While I expected this book to teach me, I did not expect it to move me, yet it did. I am profoundly grateful.

Fearless insights on common taboos

Ed doesn’t say anything out of this world or super offensive, however you can feel that he conveys what he perceives to be the truth about things in life that may go unaddressed due to them being uncomfortable topics of discussion. I’m glad I read this and will put into effect several of his ideas for myself. I’ve also walked away with a couple new perspectives in some areas of my life that I haven’t really committed to before reading this.

A heavyweight philosopher

I was introduced to Ed through a YouTube video about personal development. I was intrigued and impressed by his background as a boxer and intellectual. I've always admired individuals who know the value of having a well-rounded skill set. Everyone has their own mixes of experiences that reflect that flexibility.

Absolutely loaded with value, page after page.
If you don't take notes in it/underline ideas that stick out to you, you're missing out.

Push the scale out to 0-100, and for me this book is a 99.

Fantastic book. My entire perspective on life has changed, and jotting down notes for each chapter to remember later on will serve me well. Highly recommend!

Inspirational and packed with solid advice. I had a hard time with the lack of a central theme though.
