A piece of ancient Overseer technology has been found.
Anna Lenai must travel to a small town in Tennessee to recover the device before it gets to the wrong hands. Meanwhile, Jack heads to Leyria to contact a professor who has studied the Overseers, hoping to keep the man alive long enough to get some answers.
What they're unaware of is that Wesley Pennfield has returned to Earth, seeking revenge on the people who took everything from him.
I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario where I attended Saltfleet High School and McMaster University. I've spent most of my life fighting for the little guy in one form or another, advocating for the poor, for environmental sustainability, for minority rights.
Throughout my twenties, I wrote about five novels and threw them all out because they weren't very good. But I improved and honed my skills with each new manuscript. About two years ago, I had an offer from a traditional publishing house, but I chose to go indie instead. Writing is my passion; if I could dedicate myself to one thing, it would be bringing the ideas in my head to life.
This is the 4th book in the series, the premise is great, but I feel the story has been stretched out. There are big gaps in the security which would have Columbo in palpitations. There have been a couple of bad spelling issues not seen in the previous books. One annoying trait of the author is to describe what everyone is wearing!? Literally every time, I've seen this before with one of my top authors Julian May....it must be a Canadian thing. There is still some suspense left to keep me onside but hopefully will not be disappointed when the story fully unravels.
Great story so far, glad that Jack and Anna finally get some justice, but short lived.
Don’t bother with the audio book, the added sound effects are annoying the gentleman reading it is argent making the women sound pathetic and butch all at the same time. His attempts at the male characters are just as bad. For what it cost to buy the audio I would have been better off buying a coffee to sip while reading.
