This book was my first of T.D. Jakes' that I've read. I discovered it from his interview with Pastor Steven Furtik of Elevation Church (https://youtu.be/QVGk_jwyBXI); It's so good!
In equal parts of encouragement and practicality, Jakes' metaphoric and anecdotal writing is a worthwhile read for any wantrepreneur. I don't use this word with malice. It simply captures the best demographic for this book.
As a new entrepreneur, there are topics covered that made me grateful to have read this. This new awareness I gained is the best reason for the time invested.
I loved Jakes' perspective, use of references (some are scripture-based) and nuggets of wisdom.

The Tools You Need
The book starts off with the Wrights, how they started in an Ohio bike shop and ended flying above a sandy North Carolina beach. Taking flight but having to move to the right environment because the winds were favorable and the ground amenable. There were many other concrete and relevant examples of how to get your business off the ground. Was there a step by step method for how to start and sunset your business? Well, no. But maybe yes. When I read encouraging books such as these I all too often crave to be given all the steps that I need to succeed. I actually want the writer to tell me specifically what I need to do. Only one book I've read told me how to get books into print but even that book didn't give me all the steps to market and get books in front of the right faces. Or did it? Did Soar! by TD Jake's do it? Not in so many words with step by step methods. However, it did give you all the essential tools you need. And there are also resources at the end of the book for entrepreneurial use. This book is not only a great tool but also a great reference tool to use as I stretch my entrepreneurial legs.

If you plan to start a business, let this book part of your journey.
I first became aware of this book I believe it was 2018, via an interview that Bishop Jakes had with Steven Furtick (I may have mispelled that) Senior Pastor of Elevation Church. The interview was great, so I immediately downloaded a sample for furture reading. I read the intro and that was it, so , fast forward to 2020. I purchased this book to be my blueprint for my mentoring program that I will start later on this year 2020 (winter). I must say this book has become a very valuable resource of knowledge for me, I personally recommend this book to all who wants to embark on a jourrney to own their own business.

Profound wisdom
This book is loaded with profound wisdom and sound advice. I was very impressed with the business strategies, ideas on marketing and branding, as well as keeping your eyes on your ROI and how much energy you personally expend to get you projects off the ground. Pastor Jake's has incorporated so many elements in to this that I had no clue about. Well worth the read.

Excellent Insight
Just as the title states, this book outlines how one can turn a concept into a dream and then a vision by using simple every day life examples. It shows how one can turn their dream into a marketable business through applying effort, hard work and determining if their is a marketable need for whatever business you wish to explore.

It is always a good thing to hear from a well accomplished entrepreneur who is willing to share his views and insight in a meaningful and Godly way to the benefits of other and the enrichment of the Kingdom of God when launching into your own business. The book is fine enough for what it is, but I was anticipating a more religious book. I heard Jakes speak at the 2016 Global Leadership Summit and this book was recommended. It is a book that focusses on his entrepreneurial leadership skills and encourages readers to invest financially in their futures. He gives lots of tips on how to start and establish your own business.

Good read
Dream. Vision. Jake’s lays out a practical way (many) to make your life happen. You gotta show up and be willing to do the work. There’s no fast way to succeeding. It is constantly showing up and doing what needs to be done to get to where you want to be. I like the no nonsense style and approach. It’s real talk and real strategies to make a dream a reality.
