Could you share a bed with a smoking-hot stranger?

This is a very short read with another story in it. My kobo marked 80 pages and then it was get an email for an epilogue from Veto's pov. So for this short read it was okay that it all went so fast. Normally I don't like if the love is fast but with this one because it's so short it felt right.

I was surprised with Veto and actually liked his actions a lot. I felt a bit sorry for Callie to she hadn't had it easy, but I would've liked it a bit if it were longer then I get to know more about her plans. Let's hope that's included in epilogue.

The second book included in this one is Bigger and Badder By Jackson Kane. So I'm gonna review that one separately. I think that will be my first read from a male author..

This isn't my first book my Nora Flite but, it is the first by Jackson Kane and I enjoyed it.

Calli is a waitress in her small town that she's dying to get of. She's barely scraping by but, contemplates her promotion worried it will embed her deeper in a town she wants to run from so when her best friend Zenya has her wedding in NYC it gives Calli the perfect opportunity to escape for the weekend. She has one unfortunate mishap after another were her savior is the same stranger Veto. When she finds out Veto is going to Zenyas wedding she feels her bad luck might be changing.

This was a sweet, hot, humorous and quick read.

nothing is going right for Calli. She needs a job so she can pay her bills. Her best friend is getting married and of course Calli's car breaks down. Her handsome neighbour is there to safe her day and fixes her car. When she arrives to New York her hotel has lost her reservation and yet agin her sexy neighbour is there to save her offering to share his room with her. But who is this handsome guy and why does he keep showing up when ever she is in trouble? such a lovely story. I really liked the callie and Vetorian. It was really exciting and I couldn't put it away. I just wish it was longer I would have loved to read a lot more about what was happening with them

Not having read one of the author's in this combo team had picked my interest. The character Calli has set herself up for a adventure thanks to her friend. Along the way the trouble knocks with yum and delicious coming to the rescue. Veto aids yet another time with sizzle and pop soon to come into play. This will flow along in a pace that soon will conclude. There will be a bit of a mystery or two in question dept that you will seek the answers for. Not your average characters by no means. A read that is good that it was opened and devoured.

Lucky and unlucky.

Unfortunately this fell a little flat for me. First off. It wasn't 300 and something pages like it said. The book ended at 30%. For that reason I felt the story was really rushed. I felt the characters didn't even have a connection. They met twice. Had a one night stand. Spend most of the story apart. But by the end it was love. Just didn't spend enough time together for any real connection. I did liked the characters though and the relationship with her best friend. Overall this book was okay.

How would I best describe this book?
1) short
2) boring
3) unrealistic
4) rediculous
5) poor storyline

Not a good read at all! I seem to be ready many books like this lately. Why are authors or would be authors selling such poorly written books. It shouldn't be allowed. It's like buying sweets that are in fact savoury! Or buying a beautiful pastry but there's no filling as advertised?

Wow, the collaboration between Jackson Kane and Nora Flite has left me wanting more stories from this pair of amazing authors.
Calli and Veto's story has just the right amount of badass, romance, steamy scenes and downright hotness from the leading man.
This is definitely a book to one click.

Mr. Lucky by Nora Flite was a fun read. It was quick but fun to read this. I want my own Mr. Lucky after reading this. It had a mix of humor included that added a great dynamic to the story. I enjoyed the hero/heroine in the story and watching the characters grow. Loved the epilogue!

I volunteered to read an ARC copy of this book and am glad to have done so. This is a great short story of a small town girl who has been having bad luck in life with work, her car and just life. She meets a sexy man who helps her when she needs it as she is trying to make it to her best friends wedding. She is surprised when she keeps running into Mr. Sexy over and over only to find out that he has been attracted to her since he saw her weeks before. The attraction between them is undeniable and ends of being love at first sight.

What do you get when you combine Nora Flite and Jackson Kane???

One badass novella! This book was crazy good with just the right amounts of humor and swoon.

Told in Calli's POV, you attach yourself to this protagonist immediately.  The authors did an amazing job making certain you felt every emotion.  I sensed her angst, her despair as well as her immediate attraction and curiosity towards Veto.

Everyone has bad days and then you have Calli.  Her life seems to be one bad day.  Then Veto seems to swoop in just at the right times and saves her.

"But who is this night in shining armor?" she asks herself.  Just wait till she finds out...

Favorite Scene: When she meets Veto for the first time.

I didnt know that it was a novella so i was a bit disappointed when I saw the 'THe END'.
I like the story, it was interesting although I wasnt able to get attached to the characters. I like the writing style but i didnt love the love scenes, i breezed through it.
All in all, it was a good short story.

Such an excellent work by Jackson Kane and Nora Flite.I loved this story and enjoyed it very much.
Calli's life is pretty boring with her waitressing job,small apartment and non existent social life.Excitement comes in the form of her best friend Zenya's wedding.
Luck has never been Calli's biggest fort and the last thing she needs before driving to New York for Zenya's wedding is a car breakdown.
However a sexy stranger comes to her rescue and fixes her car.
Later she meets the stranger again at the hotel where she's supposed to have a room reservation. But luck has never been on Calli's side since forever and she finds out that the hotel is full and there's no room available.Again her knight in shining armor saves her and offers her to stay in his room.Having no choice,Calli accepts but little did she knew that this was the beginning of a whirlwind romance.
They are perfect together and their chemistry is scorching hot!
Everything seems going well until it is revealed that Veto,the sexy stranger is a renown billionaire.
Veto likes to live in seclusion and far from wanting to be in the headlights,this billionaire is known to suddenly disappear and re appear years later.
So maybe Calli's illusion at a happy ending might just be ruined.Can these two eventually have their chance at love and a life together?

He has prestige and power. Sounds awesome, right? Not so much. People's expectations and opinions are just that, and things he's not concerned with. He knows there's more to life and he discovers it in a small town, and there, he also discovers his future.

Best Friends Wedding

What's a billionaire to do when he becomes disillusioned with the world? Head back home, to a simpler time and place. Which is exactly what Veto does. While there, he notices a beautiful waitress leaving bread on the doorstep of a single mother every night after she pulls a double shift at the local restaurant. One night he woofers to help her fix her ailing car and discovers they have a mutual friend that is getting married. He sets in motion the chance to spend time with Calli while in Manhattan. They have a whirlwind time together but can it lead to something more? Can they both get lucky in life and in love? Sexy bridesmaid story with an alpha hunk to boot! Lots of fun to read.

This was a short quick read. Calli dreams of living in the big apple, having a successful career. Instead Calli is a waitress at a resturant and bar.Calli doesn't have two nickels to rub together. Veto is a very successful business man , he owns his own company. Calli and Veto first meet when her car quits in front of her building. Then they meet again at her friends wedding, when all the rooms are booked up. Calli and Veto take another chance each other. I really enjoy the characters in this novella. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Veto might have been Mr.Lucky but Calli was definitely Miss.Unlucky.
It seemed at every turn things were going downhill for her.
I loved Veto from the get go. The air of mystery surrounding him just pulled me in.
Now Calli was a little different. It's not that I didn't like her. It's just that she kept getting distracted by shinny things.

I guess if I had such bad luck I'd want to leave reality every once in awhile too.

In the words of Veto.
Calli was quirky, and weird, and awkward, and real.
Veto had the vulnerability that
 made you just want to pull him in and love him.

There is also a bonus epilogue in his POV which is a plus.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Veto & Calli's story is short, but I didn't mind because the book was full of everything else: friendship, humor, love, romance, heat, ambition, a little drama - it was all there. You could literally feel the chemistry between Veto & Calli, and their conclusion was well-deserved.

I definitely recommend Mr. Lucky!!

The other story, Bigger & Badder is a very good story. It has a lot more action and drama than "Mr. Lucky", but it still packs a lot of feeling. Mr. Kane knows how to write sexy, sensitive bad boys for sure!!!
