Ripley Proserpina spends her days huddled near a fire in the frozen northern wilds of Vermont. She lives with her family, two magnificent cats, and one dog who aspires to cat-hood.
Wow is all I can say after reading this novella. It might be a short story but boy is it intense. It also give you more of a understand and backstory of the study that Nora agree to participate in and how things are going between Nora and her guys. Nora really continues to surprise me she has a inner strength that amazes me she determined to find her place in the world and not be a burden to her guys. But the entire town is against her, and reading about her struggles makes me root for even more and I can't wait to see her triumph over those who want to see her fail. Also my heart was breaking and pounding at that basement scene, I felt like I was experiencing Nora's fear and anxiety after been trap and I had a WTF moment from invasive and inappropriate questions that doctor was asking her. Really!!! What kind of doctor would actually call the person there supposed to be helping a whore. Overall a fantastic read looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I first read this in the Falling For Them anthology. The novella acts as a bridge between book 1 and 2. It elaborates a bit more an the study Nora joined and gives us more insights into the guys and their budding relationships with Nora. What I really love is that in this book the RH isn't instant alright. Nora and her guys have to work hard on their relationshiops and deal with jealousy issues. Book 2 could technically be read without reading Finding Nora, however I feel that it really compliments the storyline and gives Ms Proserpina the space for even more in depth character development. As always no complaints about the writing, it's flawless and captivationg as usual.
Ripley Proserpina’s Finding Nora continues The Searchers series in an intense novella that will take you on an intense ride. Nora continues to be a strong female lead, determined to find her place in the world and not to become a burden to others. With the entire world seemingly against her, reading her struggles makes me alternately cheer for her perseverance and rail against those who want to see her fail. The characters are deep and their struggles realistic and relatable in today’s world. Love love love this series.
I knew this series would have some moments that would be shocking... But I think the interview process in the study she signed up for is too much. For one, even the guys admit the first interview was deeply wrong, but not one of them went to the dean or the board of the school and complained about the teacher. That would have been the first thing I'd have done if they tried to penalize me for dropping out. I think I'm disappointed... They don't sound stupid, but that wasn't intelligence.
Overall I like Ripley, but this isn't her best story.

Ok. So book 2 dives a little deeper into the characters... There was a bit of insta-love that I wish had taken a little longer, but if all the characters have troubled pasts, it can be like that. There are either huge walls or you jump fast and hard. There are some things going on with the college study the face is in that are hunky, but I think the author is doing a good job at setting some ground work for the continuation of the story. Diving into the next book!
Nora is pushed in ways that don’t feel good. First she isn’t able to get a job as everyone says they can’t hire her because of what happened even though she had no part in it. She agreed to be part of a study but gets thrown for a loop when the team decides to scare the heck out of her after having just witnessed someone dying. The guys want to protect her but this is something she feels she needs to do.
This is a brief follow up to Finding Honor, and was originally released as part of an anthology. I think you need to have read Finding Honor for it to really make sense (or just read it because it is a good story!). Nora has been through a lot, but she has a core of strength and really is trying to not depend on the guys. I love watching their relationships grow.
A very touching story about a women name Nora and how she came to know five wonderful guys. Apollo, Matisse, Cal, Seok and Ryan. Each of the guys have problems, but with Nora they find a way to heal and love.
Finding Nora is a good continuation of book 1 and picks up right where it left off. All of the relationships develop a little more and give more insight into the past of the guys. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
This book is a great continuation of the first book, we are slowly getting to know all the characters and a bit more about them
I love the dynamics between Nora and the boys, I like the way get relationships are building with them, and the different POVs make it a great book to read
I'm not sure why my review was removed, but I'll re-add it. I love that this was the novel or short story I was first introduced to in this series, because it just jumps right into action! It caught my attention that's for sure and I haven't regretted it since!
Ripley Proserpina is a master at capturing your emotions and making you feel EVERY SINGLE THING!! Oh my heart! Each of these characters have wrapped themselves around my heart already. I can't wait to read the next book!
This is a novella that leads from the first book, Finding Honor, to the second book, Finding Valor. It was originally in the Falling for Them anthology. While it is not necessary to read this book before diving into Finding Valor, it does contain plot and character development that I feel made me enjoy the next book even more. I would definitely recommend reading this book before moving on in the series, and I was very happy to get a bit more in-depth look at the boys' personalities.
I'm a huge fan of Ripley Proserpina and The Searcher's series. Finding Nora is a novella that continues the story of Nora and her guys. I read it as part of the Falling For Them Anthology. It's an intense, well-written short read. Nora is a fantastic lead female and the guys are all pretty great too. This was a nice little bonus while I was waiting for Finding Valor.
I read this in the Falling for them anthology. It was a great, short follow up to the first book. This series is really coming along and I'm loving it.
This is the second book in the Searchers series, it is a novella, but actually very long for a novella (which is great!). It continues the story nicely and a new suspense angle is created. I do like the new direction the book is going in. This book continues to develop the relationship between the characters. It is going slow, but I like that they do not dive straight in!
This is the secondish (novella) in the searches series. Let me tell you that I just could not wait to get my hands on it!
This picked up right where the first left off. Don't be scared of the shorter length. Even if the pages weren't as abundant as the other books in the series, it still packed a huge punch. And honestly, you really need to read this to understand book two.
So, we get more info on Nora and what her plans are now and the choices she is faced with. The action and intrigue were paced well and the emotional moments were done beautifully. As always the editing was flawless and Ripleys words were perfect. She just has this way of writing that fully immerses you into the scene. Her dialogue is spot on and her descriptors are everything I crave in a book. There's nothing that I could suggest she do differently. Ripley has a true gift and I only wish that her books came out every month!
I really can't express how much I love this series. It's one of those books that you want to cradle against your chest and sigh dramatically and longingly.
This novella takes place after the events in "Finding Honor" - I read this as a part of the "Falling For Them" anthology, (which I believe is no longer available for purchase).
Just like I said in my review for "Finding Honor" - there are events and characters in this series that really tug at my heartstrings. The main character, Nora, continues to have things happening to and around her that are heartbreaking and make me so angry (and afraid!) but the emotions the book inspires in me are what make it good.
I continue to struggle somewhat with the quick progression of the relationships between Nora and some of the guys, and some of the inconsistency of feelings, though nowhere near as much as I did in the first book. In fact, because it didn't bother me the way it did in the first book I enjoyed this novella slightly more overall.
The second full book, "Finding Valor" is available so I am going to begin reading it right away. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next and learning more about the guys' backstories. I can't quite pick a favorite yet - I have such a hard time doing that in reverse harem stories! But that's the whole point of the sub-genre - #whychoose?
This novella picks up right after the first book. It deals with the fall out from Nora's ordeal and what she needs to do to move on with her life. It gives a good build up for Ryan's story.
I first read this novella in the Falling for Them anthology and I loved it. This story is so well-written! I decided to read it again after reading Finding Honor and it’s even better the second time around! I love that it continues right where the story ended in book 1. Nora is such a great heroine and I absolutely love the guys. Ripley Proserpina has definitely made it on my list of favourite authors!
*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I'm so glad this story was written. It starts right where the first book left off. I loved it because honors relationships with the guys go more in depth. You can see them all getting closer. My Hearst goes out to honor, seeing how she's been treated makes me so upset and sad. I don't think it's necessary to read but you will miss out if you don't.
Still recovering from her injuries, Nora needs to contribute to the household.
When an opportunity comes to her through Tyler a friend of Cai's she listens carefully to Dr. Murray as he describes the study he is involved in and the benefits to her, housing on campus and classes to reach her goal of a teaching degree.
She is going into this with her eyes open but the first interview and coffee with the Dr.'s colleagues ends with an experiment that ends badly. The guys don't like her going off by herself after an unpleasant confrontation with a reporter Seok escorted her to the appointment and returned to pick her up. What he finds is unforgivable, at least for him.
Personally I wouldn't have given the Dr. the time of day and would have reported the whole thing to the Dean. That's just me though.
Things get weirder and weirder with this study and Nora gets more frustrated not only with it, but with her inability to get a job.
Nothing seems to be going right except her relationships with her men. However that has it's moments too.
Suspenseful, romantic and enough going on to keep you turning the pages to see what happens next.
If you are not into Reverse Harem stories, this story is not for you. But if you are, then go grab a cup of tea, bring your favorite blanket, find the perfect spot where to sit down and prepare to be transported to the amazing world where a broken girl is able to find a home, where a judging society is looking for an scapegoat, even if the evidence suggest otherwise and where a selection of handsome guys learn how to open up to such an wonderful girl such as Nora.
Now time for me to go for Book 2 of this amazing series.
As a novella I'd say its definitely (once again 😂) worth the read!! It flows well from the end of the first book. You can't go wrong with it! My only issue was with the feels of the guys changing some on and off but then when is that not at least present once 😍 but overall you should definitely read this book and the whole series!!
This novella previously published in a RH anthology the gives us another peek into the budding relationship between Nora and her guys. Things aren't going very smoothly for Nora after being cleared of any involvement in the shooting at the school. She's just about healed but not quite back to normal. Moving on with life and trying to get back on her feet is proving very difficult in her small college town where her face was plastered all over the media. The guys are beginning to feel the sting of her notoriety as well, causing Nora to feel pressured into a poor decision. I fear she'll be paying for that choice for a long time. The tiny glimpses into the guys pasts are like yummy appetizers, I always want a little bit more.
Ripley I'm hooked! My heart was pounding during the basement scene, I felt Nora's fear and anxiety and later incredible discomfort from the invasive questions. I'm in for the duration with this series! Write, write, write!
