This is a historic novel set in the time period of Kakatiya dynasty. Though it is a historic fiction, a lot of the incidents are based historical evidences like Stone inscriptions. The author might have also got more details from literary books like Prathapa Rudreeyam etc. There are a lot of old Telugu words used in this book for which the contemporary reader has to refer dictionaries to get the meanings. Also there are lots of characters, and also similar names for multiple people might a confuse a little bit for the first time readers. But overall, it's a good read and gives you some insight into Telugu land and the cultute of it's inhabitants of 1100-1300 AD.

Story of the bandit king of Kakatiyan era

The book provides an insight into the rule in Kakatiya kingdom, rani Rudrama devi's ascension to throne and above all the key role played by the Bandit prince GONA GANNA REDDY.
The language of the book sometimes hurdles us(the book is written in 1940s) but once you cope up with that the book is an excellent read and provides us knowledge of our telugu history.

P.S: Do google for few words, its bad that we forgot our own language yet we are lucky to have these books to teach us.
