Cholesterol: THE TRUTH

Rate this book
In our pharmaceutical driven world, basic nutrition has been neglected--you can't patent food. Research is still being done, but it is not being spoon fed to the busy healthcare practitioner, as is being done with pharmaceuticals. I really had to dig, but I found the evidence for the nutritional basis of the cholesterol controversy (which has nothing to do with eating cholesterol), and heart disease, which has become epidemic. The reader will find practical knowledge, that they are unlikely to get from the news, WebMD, or their Western healthcare practitioner, so that they can take prevention into their own hands. This book is suitable for both doctor and patient, and includes cardiovascular disease related topics, including genetics, diet and exercise, and specific herbal treatments. Anti-oxidants are clarified. Of course, this does not substitute for the care of a licensed healthcare practitioner.
About the Author
Dr. Jeffers started out as a classically trained allopathic physician, completed residency training in Internal Medicine and became board certified. After completing a year as Chief Resident, she became the first hospitalist at a level I trauma center for four years. She went on to serve as the perioperative care specialist for a bariatric surgery company for 6 years, learning the details of obesity and its treatment. Frustrated by the obvious limitations of Western medicine, she explored massage therapy, energy healing modalities, homeopathy, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, western herbal medicine, chiropractic, and nutrition, while continuing to glean the best the West has to offer in neuroscience, hormones, and genetics, for the next 18 years. Her accumulated wisdom is now available to the public. Watch for her titles, Hemp, Cannabis, and the Endocannabinoid System; Vitamin D3, Zinc, and Magnesium; Pain Management; Homeopathy; Weight Management Program with Dr. Jeffers; Suicide.
