Meet Devin Garcia, football extraordinaire. His life was pretty much mapped out for him since he was a kid as his plans to play professional ball, in the NFL and marry the girl of his dreams, Zaria, was set in stone. With a year left before he graduated, his dreams were well on the way of becoming true. However, Devin will soon learn the true meaning consequences of one’s actions. Zaria was a good girl who was determined to save herself for marriage. Although Devin loved her deeply, marriage was nowhere near in their future, and as a young, handsome future famous ballplayer, he possessed needs that Zaria was unwilling to fulfill. Those needs, however, were gladly met by groupies who were more than eager to replace Zaria and earn a permanent place in Devin’s life. As Devin struggled to hold on to the love of his life and focus on pro ball, his kingpin father also had plans of his own, which was to hand over his torch to his only son. Devin finds himself living a double life and must make a choice before life chooses for him.

In the beginning I was stuck because I didn't know who was the worse between Devin and Tony. Devin acted as if his actions were justifiable and Tony's loyalty was more so for Devin than his own sister. I would never have expected Diego and Zaria to be so underhanded. I do feel for Monica because she is clueless to a lot going on around her, especially with those she trust. Here it is I thought Zaria was beyond naïve only to realize she didn't mind going through certain lengths to maintain her position in Devin's life. Diego straight pissed me off because as a father he should've wanted better for his son instead of allowing things to work out in his favor. I didn't agree with Charlene playing the side but I liked the fact she realized she deserved more than she was getting. Tia irked my nerves and Olivia was beyond thirsty. Devin is sure to prove how much of a king he is and I don't even feel sorry for Diego or Zaria because they created the problem because of their own selfish reasons. Smh at how far Zaria went considering all the secrets Desire revealed. I'm ready for the finale and I hope Diego and Zaria both have their ducks in a row. It's one thing to deal with a woman scorned but once a man bent on revenging the death of those he loved the most unleashes his fury their reasoning will be pointless. I'm hoping Desire and Dream are alright as well.

It started out a lil slow but as I read more I got into it, mannnnnnn I wasn't thinking Zar was crazy like that but ain't nothin like a woman scorn. D was the mad all the chics flock but it's always one that have u Changin ur ways, I'm mad his father was really like that, waitin on part 2

Speechless

This is my first time reading anything by this author and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. This book left me with anticipation with all the twists and turns, confusion and drama. I can't wait for Part 2 to drop and I'm highly anticipating it. Tempis J, kudos to you on one helluva book.

Anxious for part 2

Enjoyed this book. Lots of twists and turns but a good read. Didn't like how Devin did Zaria. I felt like he should have been man enough to let her go instead of causing her so much pain. But to find out who killed Charlene was a shock. Can't wait to see what happens in part 2

Man I don't know how I feel now because of that ending. Devin really got on my nerves and Tony was no better...how could he lookout more for his best friend than he did his own sister. Lord Jesus!

Lord when I say this book has me stressed from the beginning I until the end! I don't know who worked my nerves the most in this book. I swear this book had me pissed 99% percent of the time (in a good way I guess lol). These characters are really something else. I can't wait for part 2! I need it asap!
