Learn about the history, scenery, and people of Washington in this charmingly illustrated exploration of the only U.S. state to be named after a president. Die-cut in the shape of the Evergreen State, it carries kids and adults alike on a journey through the Cascade Range mountains (including a stop at the volcano Mount St. Helens) and into the Hoh Rain Forest -- one of the only temperate rainforests in the continental United States. Full of fun facts on Seattle, Spokane, the Lewis-and-Clark trail and more, State Shapes Washington is an exciting addition to the State Shapes series.
i really liked the AZ version that I had read. Maybe after reading a second "state shape" book I was tired of the format already. Some good information within, but I liked the other one more. I think kids would enjoy it and it would be helpful for a 5th grade state report.
