Doms? not really bossy, yummy alphas...yes! Two cops one older and one younger hook-up with an up tight lawyer. Great, smutty novella with handcuffs that was over too quick with a just okay ending.
And could the people who do the cover actually read the book or maybe the author approve of it first. One of the cops has a beard and the other a goatee.

Theirs to Protect was not a good read for me.
The author...nipped right past things that would give this story depth. Instead it relied on tropes to get its point across. It's also rather light on the plot and IDK where that ending came from but huh?

Loved it!!!
I love Renee Rose books. She knows just how to write alpha males, great women with interesting plot lines. I'm especially loving this one because there are TWO males, both of whom are cops, who become devoted to Sloane. It was a short story, but still a worthwhile read. I borrowed this book via Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, but I also realize that this story was part of the Because Beards anthology o love that I bought to help an org that supports men's charities. Yay! So I can re-read this story to my hearts content.

I was meh with John.. the stupid ice queen nickname he kept calling her.. like okay she brought you guys coffee like she said it didn't mean have sex with me.. he was jerkish for the brush off.. I'm sorry but he was.. as for Keith.. he was still sorta dealing with the dead wife.. :/ even after 4 years.. idk i just couldn't feel it.. and the "stalker" revel was well boring as heck.. and solved to fast..
Sex was hawt.. but that was it. it needed more depth :/

This is a really short novella with not much plot. If you're looking for something quick and smutty then this is great, but if you want background info on the characters and more about their jobs and the break-in at the main girl's house, then this isn't for you. Everything is wrapped up quickly and too easily in my opinion.

This was my first Renee Rose book. I will read a few more and hope that she gives me more of a story.
This one was too sketchy and far too short on plot, tension, and resolution. The sex was hot, but I like a good story, too. Catching the 'stalker' that quickly was just too easy. Public Defender, Sloane Waters felt like she was being followed for several days. After catching the 'adoring stalker', the story should have had a real bad dude to catch. After all, Sloane had two hunky police officers to protect her.
The story starts out with Sloane buying the two officers coffee. They try to pick her up in the parking lot, but she isn't interested, even if they are too hot to be real. That same night they are all in attendance at the retirement party for Judge Tell. They finally get her to agree to have them over and see what develops. Really? She invites two virtual strangers back to her house knowing that they want to both have sex with her, and she has no qualms. More story line definitely needed to make this scenario even plausible since she is over 18 yrs old.
We get a too fast ending to this story. Suggestion: Renee, This story has real possibilities, at some point, please rewrite it and give it the depth and length it needs. As another person mentioned, an epilogue would also be a good idea. NET: GOOD SEXY STORY with HEA, needs to be at least twice as long. I was not aware that this was part of an anthology.

Great book. Sloane wasn't looking for anything but when she meet the two cops at Starbucks and then again at a party and they both tell her they are interested in sharing her she is intrigued and takes them home figuring it would be a one night stand. The next morning she tells them that she can't see them again. A stalker brings her to call them. They tell her they will stay until the stalker is caught. Keith has not really has feelings for anyone since his wife died but now he is feeling things he hasn't felt since his wife. John is having the same feelings and not sure what they are going to do about it. Then Keith tells him that he wants them both to share Sloane like they had the night before. Will they catch Sloane's stalker quickly? Will Sloane want to have them both again and will she want a real relationship with them both together?

I really liked this short story. I was nice to see a different dynamic for our two doms. Usually, we get two guys that have known each other forever and share everything. In this case, we get John the younger partner, who is doing his best to help his older partner recover from his loss. Sloane has had difficulties maintaining a relationship. Throw these three together and watch the sparks fly. My only regrets are that the book is very short and there is not epilogue to let you know how everything turned out. But it is an entertaining story and I enjoyed it.

This is the second in the series. I like all these characters. I found it interesting that Keith, John and Sloane didn’t know either other when they were all in careers that could have interacted. Keith has a past that is heartbreaking. His relationship with his partner John is one to envy. When they meet Sloane there is an automatic attraction. While I like this story I feel Theirs to Punish had characters that are more developed. I also think Theirs to Punish had a deeper story. My final feelings are that I’m glad I got to read because it really fits into the series.

They first meet at Starbucks and feel the attraction, they meet again at a judges retirement party where they all give into the pull towards each other. Keith is 15 years older than John and has been a widower for 4 years, John is the flirtatious fun guy, both have slight dom tendencies.
It was a very sweet short book with a small little side plot!

Gonna give it 3.5 stars.
No doubt it kept me hooked up till the end. Renee Rose's writing style was one of the reasons that happened. I feel the end neared early, could have been a little longer. The part where John and Keith caught the stalker was too quick.

This was fantastic!
Hey the sex was steaming hot and the fact it was two every hot guys was intense. This storyline was sweet actually and it had a great ending. I read the first one and it was great but I favored this story. Renee always delivers!

The story line was good but the editing left some errors in grammer. The printing was a bit confusing at times as the division between the men's comments was ill-defined.
