As the younger brother to the King of Angels, Stefen Von Emmerich had spent his life resenting his royal obligations and doing the exact opposite of what was expected of him. However, all that 'couldn't-give-a-damn' attitude was hurled right out of his well-guarded window the day he had the misfortune of being killed...
After being turned into a Vampire, Stefen finds more than his mere existence to be altered. Now a Fallen, a hybrid with his maker's famed Dragon blood coursing through his veins, Stefen must rediscover himself and his newly awakening powers.
When he is sent on a mission back to Hell, the place of his death, he discovers much more than what he bargained for. A child was left behind as a result of the battle that forever changed him. A victim of the war between the realms. Another hybrid, like him.
Compelled by reasons beyond his own understanding, Stefen strikes a deal to help the innocent child. As she grows into a beautiful young woman, the more intertwined their two lives become and the more perilous their unique paths grow.

What a magnificent read this was!!!! Stacy Von Haegert is a fabulous storyteller and Forged By Fate is a epic tale and book two in her Forged series with breath taking dragons, vampires, archangels demons and elementals and hybrids like Stefen a angel made into a vampire and the beautiful Merick who's father is a dragon and a mother that was a archangel. Merick was a experiment to see what would happen if a angel and a powerful vampire/ dragon mated. King of the elite Zander has been obsessed with Teakin Lagoryen the brother of Ashdon Lagoryen king of the Fire dancer bloodline and Merick's real father. While the twisted and depraved Zander has tormented, abused and drugged the mighty warrior and kept him from turning dragon by holding his daughter's life over his head his grandfather Thaddeus has been watching and waiting to see what powers Merick will possess all the while pretending to be her father. But when angel king Alaric and brother of fallen angel Stefen sends him undercover to Gerra to find archangel Anessa who disappeared after the battle between Ashdon and Dante he finds out she's dead but that she had a child with a vampire/ dragon. For years Stefen checks on Merick and watches her grow into a beautiful woman but on her eighteenth birthday she can choose to stay in Gerra or leave. So Stefen and the others bide their time till they can not only bring Merick home but also Teakin. The only thing Stefen didn't count on was falling in love but will it be enough to keep Merick from turning into a creature of darkness! Only time will tell. The chemistry between Merick and Stefen was fabulous with steamy moments and a fated mate vibe that I loved. And the cast of characters grew with the introduction of Ashdon and Kielyn's twin son's Eirik who's charming and very easy going and the dark and brooding intense Bastian. This book had angst in spades with long buried secrets and pain and scars that might never heal. But it also was a love story and two brothers finding their way back to each other even when both believed the other was dead. I love this world that Stacy Von Haegert has created and each time I come back its like visiting old friends! I've always loved dragons and the Lagoryen dragons are superb!! Until Next time Luv's💕💋

I received an ebook of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Stacy Von Haegert!
I thought it'd be impossible to top the previous book, and that I would be sorely disappointed with this one, but I have learned a valuable lesson : do no underestimate Stacy Von Haegert.
This story had me hooked from the very first chapter. I always had to reluctantly put it down. I didn't want to stop reading, but you know, I kind of need to get off the train, and well, work. Every time I put it down I was beyond looking forward to pick it back up.
I had a soft spot for Stefen in the first book, and I was so happy when I found put this was "his" book. He is my favourite character in the series. Sexy as hell, fallen angel? Hell yes.
I really liked how it wasn't a repeat of the previous book. Sometimes series feel like the first book is copied and sold as different instalments. This one's story line is so different from the first, and that makes me happy. It proves that the author thought about the plot. The author also perfectly set up the next book, which I cannot wait to het my hands on!
Possible unpopular opinion, I like Katara. I mean yeah she's a *****, but she is a complex character, and that intrigues me.
I have just finished reading the ARC of these book and it just blew my mind! I could not put it down!!! Stacy Von Haegert's second installment of the Forged series will trap you like no other. From the powerful characters and their love stories, to the amazing settings and powerful situations they find themselves into, to even the amazing use of the language, the readers will find themselves propelled into a fantasy world made so realistic you just feel a part of it. This is simply just another master piece of the genre and it deserves to be read over and over again. I can't wait for the next twist in this wonderful story to come! Congrats my dear Stacy! You have surpassed yourself again!
This book 2 in this series and it's as engrossing as bk 1. Stefan is as yummy as the alpha in book 1. There were no hiccups in this one as it was perfection. Another win for Ms.Von Haegert.
Can I say wow, fantastic story. Angeles, Vampires, Demons hybrids, lots of action, intrigue, misery, war, the old and true about battle versus good. I started the book and was immediately drawn into the story, and page after page, it drew me in further and further. That Earth became as my home, the fights the feeling in the book became mine. The characters were awesome. The younger brother of the King of Angels, Stefen Von Emmerich , spent his years avoiding his duties. Having been turned into a Vampire he found he existence had changed. He was now a Fallen, a hybrid with his maker's Dragon blood running through his veins. He now must find himself and come to understand the power that are awakening in him. Sent to Hell on a mission, the same place where he died. A child had been left behind after the battle that changed him forever. She is a hybrid like him. Striking a deal to protect the child, which is beyond his own understanding. As she grows into a beautiful woman their lives become even more entwined. It's not long before an old oracle's words from years ago begin to ring true..."Fate holds the cards. Time reveals the hand." A story well writen, love it and can't wait to read the next one, for that character is very intriguing .
Soooo good! I mean, so good! I have a tendency to pick up a book by Von Haegert and just never put it down. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning last year trying to read as much of the first book of this series (Forged of Fire) before I just passed out, so I’m not surprised at all that I slacked off at my job for about a full work day keeping my eyes glued to the pages of Forged by Fate. I mean… I just devoured this book. Forged by Fate picks up shortly after the events of book 1, but focuses on angel/vampire hybrid, Stefen. He’s been cast out of Heaven, now a Fallen, and is trying to figure out what this new life means for him. While on a mission for his brother in Hell, the course of Stefen’s future is forever altered as he crosses paths with another Fallen hybrid. And Stefen’s heart is never the same…
Okay, that’s all I want to say without being too spoilery. I love how the main male characters of this series are written; Stefen is totally alpha, but in the best sense in that he is still caring and protective, and oozing sexiness. Merick is also able to hold her own with her intelligence and bravery shining through a beautiful exterior. Their relationship was years in the making, but once they do take the step together, wow… just wow… I want to warn that the entire series can be very dark at times, so readers need to be prepared to read some things that might make people uncomfortable. But clearly dark forces are at play – a good majority of the book takes place in Hell, so there’s a reader’s first giant clue. With that being said, the politics and intrigue between the realms is a lot to sink one’s mind into and riveting to read. There are still many things left unsettled between the realms, and it will be interesting to see how events play out in the next book. For me, anything written by Ms. Von Haegert goes into the must read/one-click purchase list!
Here it is again, Author Stacy Von Haegert has written a book I couldn't put down. If you haven't read Forged of Fire yet go read that book NOW. This book, Forged by Fate, follows right after Forged of Fire in the Forged series. I'll try and keep this a spoiler free review so names are left out.
This book opens on the first year anniversary of the death of one and birth of another, or I should say rebirth. Stacy uses this to bring us up to speed and to slide in some reminders that readers need to know but not enough to be annoyed by it. There isn't a lot of environmental descriptions since it isn't hard to pull up images of each realm that Stacy painted for us in book one.
The main characters are set in as the plot quickly takes shape. Time moves swiftly as it focuses mostly on just a few people and the one character they will revolve around. As past secrets and stories are told the author keeps the reads connected to those we've become familiar with from the first book, and that further deepens the love we have for them, or hate depending on who it is.
As fate starts to play a hand the pace of the story changes, and this my friends is worth the wait. This book takes longer to heat up but sure does get hot. This Is the first for me where I was torn on a favorite book boyfriend, but like the female character I got to love them both in different ways. (You'll get it once you read the book!)
There is all the good stuff of love, family, and bonds. As well as the suspense, fear and war. Then twists and turns to shake things up. Questions are answered and new ones pop in. Of course the supernatural and all that we come to expect from the Forged series is beyond amazing. This book is well written, I loved it all. I can not wait to see what the author, Stacy Von Haegert has up her sleeve next!
This book picks up right where the first one left off, we see Stephen transitioning to his new role. When his brother asks for help he will stop at nothing to accomplish the task. The plot twists will keep you turning the page, I so did not see the end coming. This was more than a love story, it was more about the characters finding themselves and coming into their own. The love of family as well as the fight against good and evil. Words can't express how well written and captivating the story was, it was like watching twilight onfold. I volunteered to read an ARC from the author and feel in love with the plot and characters. Merick is the heroine that every women wants to be
You've all heard the question, which is more important genetics or environment? Which contributes more to the baby? Ms. Von Haegert answers that question and more in this second book of the Forged Series. She weaves a wonderful story of an angel/dragon hybrid raised in Hell by a scientist.
But it's more than that. It's chock full of petty jealousy, heroic sacrifices, elemental benders and dragons. Beautifully magnificent dragons. Yes, Ash and Kielyn are there, along with their children, but they play a minor part. I'm talking Teakin LaGoryen here. While this IS Stefen and Merick's book, Teakin plays a huge part. I think I fell in love a little bit with him. He is most definitely a force to be reckoned with!
Plot. Good and solid. The author is really getting a grasp on the world she's created and it shows. Her benders are more ... intense than in the first book, her characters well developed. I felt a range of emotions for the people in the book. Pity for Stefen at first, Lust for Teakin, Annoyance for Bastian. Eirik made me laugh, a lot. I was actually on the fence about Thaddeus. Not indifferent, but I liked him and disliked him at the same time. All strongly written characters able to pull feelings out of the reader. To me her strength lies in writing characters that you can't help but like. Even the bad guys, Zander and Katara I liked. I do wish there had been more Katara. She is such a bitch!
There really isn't a lot world building in this one. Which is okay with me. You really do need to read the first book to get the whole picture of the Earth and Hell and the elemental bending. To just jump in and start with this book, while doable, would be an injustice.
Like Stacy's other series, The White Rose Trilogy, she gets stronger with each book written. I've loved watching her find her feet as a writer and evolve. She spins a great tale. Looking forward to the next one.
Forged by Fate by Stacy Von Haegert... what a great read! I was enthralled with the depth of the characters, particularly the heroine Merick, and the complex weave of drama, action and romance that makes up this story. This one takes up where Forged of Fire left off and I was not disappointed, just the opposite for I could hardly put this book down when I received it. I was caught up in the budding romance between Stefen and Merick as they found their way together in a world they neither did not fight squarely into. The strangely poignant view in Hell society that was intriguing and so very different than fictional representation of Hell that I just had to keep reading to see what happened next. Add in the war between Heaven and Hell and the players involved combined together for a rousing story of love and hate, drama and action. If you love dragons, this story delivers particularly in the final fight scene. This book is something that cannot be missed for lovers of paranormal fiction and romance!
Once again I was transported into a world unlike my own. Author Stacy Von Haegert did not disappoint as my mind became fully engaged in a world filled with supernaturals. I felt like Dorothy from the "Wizard of Oz" exclaiming, "Vampires and Demons and Dragons...Oh my!!" during each intriguing twist and turn.
This is not the genre I usually read, but this series is one I happen to honestly enjoy. The characters are developed in such a way for me to root for Stefen and Merick as they both find themselves tangled in a web of lies, deceit, cunning and manipulations. Secondary characters also add some flavor making me laugh, roll my eyes and even cry.
It saddens me that I have to wait for the next book, but until then I get to imagine my own self in their world while enjoying my time to the fullest. It was a wonderful read and worth my time.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Stacy Von Haegert’s Forged series is a paranormal romance centred on the dramatic lives of an elite group of alpha males. The Forged universe is comprised of earth as we know it, where paranormals and benders hide in plain sight, heaven, occupied by the angels, and hell, home of the vampires and ruled by Dante and his perverse offspring. Elemental benders, those who can control the elements, are seeking to reorganize and provide a formidable defence against the omnipresent threat of Dante and his minions. First, each elemental house requires a leader. Born into a line of fearsome dragons, Ash LaGoryen , a fire bender turned vampire, is reluctant to enter into paranormal politics. Preferring to remain under the radar, Ash has lived a rather solitary life on earth. But when a young, beautiful woman, fabled to be the chosen one, requires protection and mentorship, Ash is plunged headlong into a battle for supremacy. This was my first encounter with Stacy Von Haegert and I’m undeniably hooked. I read both books is short order and am completely devastated I will have to wait a year for book three. The Forged world is imaginative and complex. Von Haegert’s characters are more complicated than what is common to the genre. Her characters are often flawed; at times neither good nor bad. The action and drama is riveting. One of the best features of these books is definitely the romance. These books are teeming with sexual energy and are absolute page-turners. I had a difficult time putting either book down. Forged is reminiscent of JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Both series are, at times, over-serious, however, definitely entertaining. This series is undoubtedly one to watch. Book one chronicles the story of Ash, while book two is the angel Stefen’s story.

Forged by Fate was dark and magical I love, love a good PNR. After reading Forged of Fire I was hooked on the series!! I wanted to escape into the dark fantasy Stacy Von Haegert had created. Each character in the series was fascinating.
Forged by Fate continued with the realization that Teakin was alive and kept captive by Zander and Thaddeus. Teakin was drugged and forced to rape the angel who was caught during the war in book one. The angel gave birth to a hybrid named Merick. The young child was made to believe her father was Thaddeus and kept hidden. The plot thickens.. The king of Hell Zander becomes obsessed with Teakin and forces him to submit to him or he would harm his daughter Merick. Teakin endures his captivity to keep Merick safe. He is granted to visit his daughter and becomes her main bodyguard as long as he continues to please Zander. Gahh!!! How horrible! my heart ached. While this was going on in hell, Stefan was order to search for the angel who went missing. When he found her and brought back the body to Ash and Alaric they soon put the pieces together. The three of them had to figure out a strategic plan to get back Ash's brother Teakin and Merick.
During the turmoil Stefan becomes attached to Merick, he feels a strong pull towards her. Each time he sees her his feelings became stronger and he can't reason or resist the connection.
Stefan and Merick story was overwhelming and complicated. Both hybrid creatures are caught in the middle of elemental politics. Obstacles came left and right!! I was on edge the entire time I needed my HEA with this two so bad!!
Without a doubt the Forged Series is a must read. It will appeal to any PNR lover. The plot is complex and full of amazing characters including vampires, dragons, and angels. I'can't wait to read the next installment Forged from Blood Teakin story!
Picking up right from the cliffhanger, heart-attack we were left with from Forged by Fire, Stacy Von Haegert does not disappoint her readers. We learn the repercussions of Ash saving Stefan's life. He's banned from Heaven and has lost all of his lands, holdings, and titles. Stefan is considered one of the Fallen and his wings and throne have also been stripped from him. He has mixed feelings of all of this as he's always been used to being treated as the 'spare' and he felt that his brother, the Almighty King Alaric should have done something on his behalf. In his heart he knows the truth, his brother could not have interfered at all, especially on his behalf. After a year though, the banishing still stings. Stefan is still living at Ash's compound and trying to get used to his new life when Ash tells him over dinner of Alaric's request to go back to Hell. His fiancée was not supposed to be in the fight that cost Dante, the King of Hell, his life and gave his children Zander and Katara right to reign., but Alaric figures she had to be as she hasn't been seen since. Stefan knows why he must do it, he's the only one that can. Angels cannot enter Hell and Ash's presence would set off alarms as soon as he crossed. Stefan goes willingly, but what is it that he will find on this fact finding journey? Is he finally walking the path the Oracle spoke of not long ago or is it still too soon for him to be thinking about his destiny?
This is an action packed paranormal/fantasy book , featuring Dragons Vampires and so much more. This is also book 2 in the series.
At first it took me a while to get into the storyline but when I did there was no putting the book down. Every page was action packed and interesting, keeping my attention. The author writes in such a way that it's easy to read, therefore making it enjoyable rather then hard work; which can be the case in some paranormal / fantasy stories.
The book focuses on Merik, a young Angel who was born to be an experiment, daughter of a Angel and Dragon. We follow her from birth until such an age where she has to make huge decisions in her life, all whilst trying to herself safe. And learning who to trust and who not to. Essentially the story focuses on war between heaven and hell, and it's many creations.
Characters from book one are in the story too, so we continue to read about them and their involvement with Merik, whilst meeting many more. I don't want to give too much of the storyline away, which wouldn't be difficult if I were to explain some of the characters but there isn't a dull moment throughout this book. Of course there are some loveable characters, and some not so loveable. A very enjoyable read and one not to be missed.
I enjoyed everything about this book. The way the storyline was so cleverly put together and how the characters were equally important, whether good or bad.
I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. This book centres around Stefan who we met in book one. His story is completely different leading you on a different path. Its years later, Kielyn and Ash have twin boys almost full grown, Teakin is still in Hell. Dante is dead, a new King in Hell. Zander, ruling with his sister Katara. They have a son, Xavier. Our story starts with Stefan losing his lands. A request from his brother to find a Fallen Angel, lost during the battle years earlier. To rescue dead or alive, it mattered not. Anessa, an Angel, her torn and battered body hanging from a tree. Stefan flashed in and out, examination to find she gave birth, there is a child of an Angel in Hell. This is the foundation of the story. A baby watched from birth to full grown and the men who will shape her life. I found this story more compelling, it drew me deeper into their world as though watching from above. I would recommend reading the first book first, then this one. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The twists and turns, love, hate, laughter and tears. This book has it all. Highly recommended, loved it from start to end. A must read A***************
If your looking for the things worth doing for love.... love of mate... love of offspring... Look no further. Two males will show you what it means to love another more than self. In a fantasy world where truth lies hidden amongst the lies, love survives. Sometimes fate surprises you! I enjoyed this book even more than the first one and look forward to the next one.
I am in love with Stacey Von Haegert. She is a brilliant author with a fresh voice and a unique mind. This book was glued to my hand until I finished it. You cant help but fall in love with her characters. Stefen is one bad ass fallen angel. I hate Zander btw...so much! Awesome book. Cant wait for the next one but in the mean time I think I will continue reading her white rose trilogy!
Another amazing read from Stacy Von Haegert! I couldn't stop reading! Finally finished it at 4am and had amazing dreams about strong fierce dragons!!! Merick was a badass once she came into her own! I admire her strength and determination to her family!
Forged by fate is dark and magical! This second book picks up right at the cliffhanger the first book left you saying no it can't end there! You can't help but lose track of time while reading Stacey Von Haegert's books. I say they are must reads! Can't wait for the next book!!!
This book kept my attention from start to finish!! I love love loved this book. Loved the continuation from the first book. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!!!!
This book was better than the first. I didn't read the blurb about this 2nd installment and I was pleasantly surprised to find this book featured Stefan as the MMC. I liked him in the first book and he was the only character that I really enjoyed.
The first book ended on a surprise info dump (not a cliffhanger per se, but more of a set up) and this story picks up on that info. This book had a great plot and better characters than the first and I had a lot more trouble putting it down. I didn't care for all the quick 5 year time jumps to get to where we needed to be for this story to happen. I feel like 18 years was a lot of time for other things to happen than what did in this book.
Aside from the story info, I did find small grammatical errors throughout the ebook. Misspellings or a word inserted where it wasn't needed, etc. I'm by no means perfect and could never write my own book, but these little things bother me to no end. They really take away from the moment/story for me.
*Spoilers ahead!*
Anyway, my main annoyance with the story mainly stems from this - how is Teakin not verifiably crazy?!
I've no idea how he isn't horribly, insanely, mentally messed up or more affected by what's been done to him. With the duration he was in captivity on Gerra and what he was made to do just in the scenes we read about, I feel like any other character would be so incredibly broken and need to be coaxed out of it for an entire novel at the least. I understand he had a daughter to fight for, but geesh. I do also understand he was more of a side character and means to an end, and going more in depth to him wasn't what this story was about, but I had a hard time wrapping my head around all that. These novels have loads of characters and multiple POVs. While it let's alot more info and feelings to come across, it also leaves a lot of gaps, I feel. I feel like we should know some other characters more than we do.
This book ends on another cliffhanger. I was really confused at first - the very last chapter ends with characters I'd never heard of before as well as another time jump.
I am curious to see how the trilogy concludes as I do feel things were a bit all over the place with lots of time gaps, characters needing explaining or development and just a general sense of closure. This book was definitely setting up things and was a little anticlimactic for certain moments (lots of build up with not such a great wrap up). However, I'm hoping the 3rd novel takes care of all that!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Fantasy and romance await in this richly detailed book. Forged By Fate is the second book in the Forged Trilogy by Stacy Von Haegert. This Sophomore entry loses none of the energy and excitement of the first in this series.
The world building continues to be abundantly lavish in it's description, and as worlds and realms unfold before your eyes, they becomes another character throughout the book, the voice of setting.
This story is filled with family dynamics, intrigue, court machinations, battle, and lust. It's tightly written, each word carries the weight of twice as many. And the language in this book is beautiful. I found myself rereading passages just because they sounded lovely.
It's a slow burn, by needs and design. And while there is some heat and plenty of steam, this is more of a speaking romance, but again, those words, they're heart pounding. If you enjoyed any of the speeches of love and romance in Bridgerton, you'll love these as well.
I don't want to talk about the hero and heroine, I just feel it will give away the entire plot. I loved them, Stefan is a gloriously tragic hero, and Merick is the heroine that awakens his dead heart. I think they edge out Ash and Kie from the first book, by just a smidge.
A beautifully written romantic fantasy, it hits all the right notes.
The realms aren't playing well together, and it's sinfully delicious to watch. I mean, read. Once again, Stacy Von Haegert has drawn me into a world I was made for, and my German Shepherd Dog was gracious enough to give me the short day + to read. Talk about a dichotomy: Dragons mating with vampires creating hybrids; pissed off archangels finding eternal love after sneaking into Gerra of all places, and the introduction of characters that one believes truly exist before sitting the book down and remembering its a book, not real life. 🤔💭 Right? And Ms. Von Haegert effortlessly pulled me into the action with her incredible use of words. I found myself several times not simply sitting on the edge of my seat but rather flying through the air helping these amazing new characters that I won't divulge only because I don't want to give away any of the excitement that abounds in the plot of this book, the 2nd book of the Forged Trilogy that I ask the realms to lead to a series! There is just no way one more book can contain enough of the elementals, fae, dragons, vampires, good & evil...you know, regular family drama, to finish this story up. And I thought book 1, Forged Of Fire, was good! I 100% recommend this book after reading book one. 🐲🪽🪽🧚🏼♀️🧝🏼♀️
