While Not Looking For Mr. Right... Although she vows that she's locked her heart and thrown away the key, ravishing red-headed Lauren Stevens suddenly has several men vying to prove her wrong—and to win the right to set free her passionate self. Button-down banker Oliver Gotho seems like a good candidate, but it's Oliver's sexy brother Alistair who has invited the beautiful, penniless free spirit to share his living space—temporarily, of course. She thinks she should encourage the successful businessman brother, yet is it Alistair with the oh-so-sensual magic touch who holds the key to her happiness? Has She Found Her Perfect Match? Sexy, wise, and charismatic, Alistair has offered Lauren a place to stay out of the goodness of his heart—and certainly not because of her gorgeous eyes, luscious lips and enchanting body. Lauren may entrance him, but it's time for him to find a sensible woman to take to wife. And Lauren, with her penchant for peccadilloes, spells nothing but trouble. But spring is in the balmy New Orleans air, and so is love, as both Lauren and Alistair discover that the heart-pounding perfect match isn't always the one knocking at the door...

Hailey North is a USA Today bestselling author who began writing while employed as a “game show lawyer” for NBC Studios. Tired of hearing lawyers weren’t creative, she quit her job and typed “Chapter One” (not the chapter, just the heading!).
Since that day, North has penned eleven romantic comedies, set in her adopted hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, in her favorite imaginary town, Doolittle, Arkansas, and in her very own version of Purgatory.
Her three-book “afterlife” series (The Diva, The Billionaire and The Hero) celebrates creative, but accidentally dead, characters trying their darnedest to win a second chance at life.
North lives in Louisiana with her husband, her food-centric Labrador Shelby, and her three kindred spirit felines, Ali Kat, Rosa Pax, and Max the Cat Who Thinks He's a Dog.

The second re-release in digital format from Hailey North, Perfect Match is another title that is loaded with nostalgia, but may have readers wondering a bit.

Lauren is apparently gorgeous, but her self-esteem is pretty much non-existent. Deciding that a relationship is not for her, she is determined (for about 20 minutes) to steer clear of men. Enter Oliver and Alistair, brothers who both have a thing for Lauren. Her scheming and more “logical’ self says that Oliver is the better choice, but her heart and her ego warm up to Alistair’s near over-the-top flattery and attention.

And that started my first problem: I dislike wishy-washy heroines (or heroes) and don’t find the triangle theme particularly amusing. North did try to add humor into the story, and provide some situations that varied from snicker-worthy to embarrassing chuckle, but soon the triangle hijinks were no longer amusing. She needed to pick someone already.

Oliver is bland, successful but bland, as was his ‘interest’ Barbara. These two had little personality shown, and without a great deal of action or interest in them, soon became unnecessary to the plot. I will say that the stories are entertaining in that ‘oh no she didn’t’ sort of way that is often accompanied by an eye roll.

Quick reading, it is a perfect piece of candyfloss beach read to amuse, but not challenge overmuch.

I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This book is a little different then some I like to read. I wasn't actually sure if I was going to finish this book for the simple fact you hear about 6 characters povs, it went so back and forth at times I forgot who head I was supposed to be into. I did like Lauren as a character and I love how she just did whatever she wanted. Alistair was on the bit harder to like. He can read candles and he is looking for a wife and although he is very much attracted to Lauren he fights it cause his brother likes her. Then Barbara like Alistair but then likes his brother Oliver and Oliver like Lauren then Barbra likes Oliver. I was getting annoyed lay this I mean all this going back and forth of who likes who was just over kill. I did like the plot because it was different and I did like how it took place in New Orleans instead of like Montana or something like that. I did have some issues trying to picture these characters during the story. It did have some funny parts but overall it was okay.

This was a charming and romantic read that caught my attention right from the start. The story line was a little different than what I usually read, but was definitely entertaining!

I really liked Lauren's character, she is a beautiful girl with a charming, yet quirky, personality, that suffers from low self-esteem. Oliver and Alistair are both handsome brothers who are in a battle for Lauren's time and attention, and make it very hard for her to choose between them! Lauren likes them both, and sees traits in both of them that she likes and can connect to, the problem is she can't decide whether to follow her head or her heart...

This was funny and entertaining read that had me smiling the whole way through! Definitely a great Edelweiss find!!

Perfect Match (Love, New Orleans Style, #3) by Hailey NorthMy rating: 4 of 5 starsPerfect Match by Hailey North is a comedic look at love. Lauren is flighty and frustrating. She is also insecure and does not trust easily. When she captures the affections of two brothers, she can't make a choice. She doesn't trust herself-her heart wants Alistair but her mind tells her Oliver is the one. What's a girl to do? A lighthearted read that left me with a smile. The book was a quick read. I liked the story line to a degree. At times it was hard to relate to the story. I have read stories where the woman belives she is no good for anyone, but at some times in the book it was a little over board. Plus the brothers angle was a bit far for me. I mean come on Oliver has the hots for Luaren and Alistair is feeling her up with no regard to his brother. I understand wanting two people and the back in and forth, but this I felt went a little far. I loved the bird and Sister Grisewald.

Cute multi-couple romance! You know almost right from the start that Alistair and Lauren were meant for each other - if only they wouldn't have taken everyone involved to realize it. I actually enjoyed this book a bit more than the first one.

When I first started reading this book, I was not interested in Lauren and Oliver, but rather, the other pair seemed more interesting. But, then the story was about the four of them and I ended up really enjoying the story.
