Rape, robbery, and deceit are what compose this final installment. Case is faced with a dilemma so damaging that it has the potential to take away his freedom. While trying to clear his name, he’s faced with the reality that he hurt the love of his life. His intention was never to hurt Diar, but he was so caught up with the death if his ex that Case didn’t realize that he playing with Diar's heart. Without Diar in his corner, Case is unsure if he will make it out of his predicament. Diar is torn between her heart and her mind. She wants to believe that Case loves her, but his words don't match with his actions. She’s tired of waiting for him to love her the way that she loves him. Walking away seems like the best solution, but when she steps right into trouble, Diar’s not sure if she has made the best decision. Will Case and Diar mend their broken relationship or will their detrimental issues keep them apart?
Case and Diar had one obstacle after the other thrown their way and couldn't seem to catch a break. Roman was scandalous and I couldn't believe he thought his actions were alright. He went overboard instead of facing the reality that he'd messed up one too many times and it was time to let Diar go. I felt bad for Diar because she didn't deserve what was done to her and the traumatization that followed. Leilah had me not liking her after everything went down because even thought it was never mentioned I think she's always had a thing for Case. Kesla has got to be one of the dumbest people ever! She was so bent on revenge that she missed important details to solidify her plan. She clearly underestimated the DeMao's. That was messed up learning about Mariah but it helped Case in moving forward. Through it all, the good and the bad I was glad Case and Diar took time for themselves and realized they both had each other's love under arrest, in which things would eventually fall into place for them.
My review is on a couple of series that are all related so I named it the DeMao series because of the brothers the involved. This series include (in order): Keece and Paris (3books), Big and Aimee (2 books), Summer of '16 (3books), and My Love is Under Arrest (2 books). The series, Keece and Paris (3books), started of with the main focus on Keece DeMao and his girl Paris. Keece downfall in his relationship is his kind heart. And his kind heart makes him act on things that he knows he shouldn't. If he does not learn to let his old flame die he will surely let the best thing that happened to him walk right out of his life. The next series Big and Aimee (2 books), was about their adopted brother Big and his lady Aimee. Just like his brother Keece, he too can make some pretty bad judgment calls. While Big loves the ground Aimee walks on, 2 ladies from his past is keeping him from making that happen. Tara is one of the most bitter baby mommas I have ever ran across and I really needed Big to step up to the table and handle his business with her. He acts like he has absolutely no balls when it came to dealing with her. Then there's Toi, and I have no idea why he's even involved with her. Yes, they have been intimate for years, but both are extremely wrong for continuing their relationship. This series also leads you into the relationship of their brother Dinero and Asia (Amiee's twin). Two people who are feeling each other but scared to take the chance with one another, which leads you into the series about them,Summer of '16 (3books). Mannnn Asia needs some serious prayers to deal with Dinero. I promise his picture needs to be by the word ignorant in the dictionary 😂, but I like him soooooo much😂😂😂😂. I believe the majority of his issues come from growing up thinking his mother had abandoned him which caused him to be so skeptical about woman and having a serious relationship with him. One thing about him though, if he commits to you, he loves hard. The last series, My Love is Under Arrest (2 books), is about the youngest brother of the DeMayo clan, Case. Case is trying to move on from a devastation that shattered his world. Slipping into a deep depression from his grief that took a hold of him, he's, not sure if he will ever be the same again. Diar, she crept into his life trying to win his heart and make him live again, but Case loss have his mind and heart conflicted. When he realized it was no use in fighting what he felt for her anymore, Diar came right in and took his heart under arrest. After reading this entire series, I see why I click with this author so much. She is really Petty and silly, she had to be, to create a character like Dinero. I don't think I have EVER read about a dude at his level of ignorance😂. I loved everything in this series, something stayed popping off and it allowed me to flow effortlessly and read all 10 books straight! But Know, you can read the series out of order because the books recap important things throughout. I left so much out of this review because I do not wanna give anything away but I promise you, you will not be disappointed! 5*
This is Part 2 of the love story of Case and Diar. The story picks up with great drama and turmoil. Diar finds herself in a deadly situation over which she has no control. As a result, she suffers from severe trauma, so much so that she needs extensive counseling to overcome it.
Case is still processing the loss of Mariah, while fighting his newfound love for Diar. They go back and forth several times, hurting and being hurt, to the point where it seems that their relationship may not make it.
On the other side, Case is also dealing with some issues related to Mariah’s family, who believe that he had something to do with her untimely death.
The story is full of strife and drama, mixed with complicated relationship issues.
Overall, I think the story was great. I appreciated that the author provided such well-developed characters and even highlighted psychological issues that many people face below the surface in their everyday lives. I do think that the fact that almost every character suffered from some type of psychological disorder kind of took a little bit away from the story, but at the same time, I appreciated the fact that she was trying to send a message: Everyone has issues, and no one can live in this world totally unscarred. Overall, great book, and I would read any story that this author writes.
Case and Diar are going through it! Diar is seething as Stefani tells her it was Roman who set the robbery up! Diar starts throwing those Haymarket on Roman until he gets one in. Locker away and prepared to die Diar sees no way out of her situation that Roman did. Case and the family are searching for Diar. In the meantime Kesla sets up Case for "Mariah" b u t the family is starting to see her ways and Tisa confesses to drugging Case. Shid is going down in Milwaukee! Diar goes to rehab and meets Jediah. Since she's broke up from Case she does a little flirting. Once out they stay in touch. Since her andnXase are back on Diar is riding high, Mariah's mom informs Case that she found Mariahs diary that held some revealing information as to why she shot herself. Case is on an emotional 🎢 and just can't seem to get off. Case learns that something he did may cost him Diar and it does. This ti.e their relationship is over. Case has not cut his losses so a year later pops up at the shop and this crazy love is on!!!!! Love my Demaos! Their love, word and get yo azz is Bond!!!!
I found that Diar was still a bit immature at times in the 2nd book. With every thing that she went through what did she expect Case to do? She kept pushing him away even after everything that he did for her childish ass. I like that her friend kept thing real throughout the book. Also it was good that Case had finally got some after realizing that he didn't know Mariah at all. Kesla was a piece of work, but she got what she got. Too bad Tisa ended up on the wrong side and had to suffer for what she did and for also allowing Kelsa to blackmail her that way. Overall the ending was ok as well as this story.
Seems like all the couples took a year away from each other before they got it together; so I’m not surprised with this one. The situation with Diar was a bit overboard seeing that it really wasn’t that bad to go check in anywhere for, I think. Then the reason for the split after she did what she did at the rehab was again too much. I’d really like to read about Dash, he did more then all the guys and they’re supposed to be running things. They didn’t do anything until the end and that seemed to be just by chance. I think these have run their course.
Yesss that's what am talking about. They definitely need to have some happy ending up in here. I am glad everything worked out especially case and Diar they deserved happiness in their lives. It's sad that case had to find out the truth on what really took place in Mariah mind it's sad n maybe she could have gotten help she needed before it was to late. Kesla got what she deserved and so did Tisa she should have never worked or let someone blackmail her. Russell he was a disgusting individual and deserves his fate.
This was a refreshing page turning book! I loved the complexity of the characters and everything they were going through. With the revelation of Mariah I was truely shocked. As for Case, he was truely something else, and so was Kesla. The pace was just right for this type of read. I also was excited to see my city in the book. I was like wayment Dayton Ohio!!!! nobody talks about Dayton LOL!!! I loved the twists except for the one I predicted !!!!!
I like Diar and Case. Compared to the other stories I feel like this one was a bit more rushed towards the end. I know Case has more logic than his older brothers but I wanted the drama lol. It’s always something to make them lose their girl and get her back but I wanted more so I could see Diar’s strength. I am proud of her for choosing herself though.
This was a great follow up. I'm glad I found out who robbed Diar and her sister. However Charae improved drastically in her latest books so I couldn't give this a 5 star because I agree with another review that said the ending seemed rushed. Although, it tied up the storyline. It wasn't as heartfelt enough. But it wasn't bad. It just wasn't great. I'm glad justice was served all round and I doubt Diar and Case will have a smooth sailing relationship. He is a walking hazard sign lol but good read. I'm glad all loose ends were tied because I was seeking closure after reading book 1 lol
I liked this book. Getting to know Case better was good. The Demao series is always exciting to read. I just knew you were going to leave us hanging in the end. I loved the ride we were taken on with the plot of this book. I have read everyone and hope this is not the end. What up with the daddy? Lol. I really appreciate your writing skills 's. Ms. Lewis.
I enjoyed this final part of this series. I swear it seemed Case couldn't win from losing he wanted to do the right thing but, things just kept happening. I was glad that he took care of Kelsa and he didn't have a baby. I was really mad that Diar gave up on Case but, I was happy that he didn't give up on her. I'm sad that it has ended.
The demao men are something else. Diar learns her ex isn't who she thought and he turns on her leaving her for dead. Case gets caught up in kelsa little game and now she's on the run. Diar checks into a rehab to handle her depression after Roman tried to kill her. Case is missing diar so he flies out to see her. Trying to work things out case and diar manage to get back on track but when leliah drops a bomb on him an he has no choice but to tell her. Mariah's mom reveals a shocking secret about her death and case is surprised but now he's torn on what was real with them. Diar finally moves on an be single but case comes back after a year and the love is still there between them with no drama.
Whew!!! Rollercoaster ride and I like how Kiy sleepwalked Kesla snake ahh...I was worried though for Case with the Leilah situation...Nero is still Zaddy af... I liked how this story finished and no part 3...it wasn't needed...nice neat finish and few errors
This book also had my on the edge. I knew that stupid Roman set them up. I'm glad he got what he deserved. And so did Kelsa, I figured them Demao boys had something up there sleeves. It hurt me that Case and Diar couldn't get it right and had the world against them. But on the upside I'm glad it worked out from them. Great book!!!!
This was such an emotional rollercoaster! I looove case and diar to the MAX! it was great to see the Demao boys again especially crazy ass Deniro lol and of course my crazy bar Dash! Glad him and steph got it right too!! Great story and wouldn't mind another part either lol
So good! This book had drama and more but most importantly love. I love that Diar stood up for herself and demanded better. Loved that she recognized she needed to get right for her. It made the Epilogue so much better and honestly they are my second favorite couple out of the DeMao’s. Loved this book.
The second installment of MLIUA2 was a banger! Ming never lets me down! Case and Diar went thru hell and back and I was so happy to see them over come every obstacle that came their way. Great Job Ming!
I loved this book! Case is BAE! Him and Diar went through so much but in the end love wins. Thats all that matters to me. I loved the flow of the book! Everything was great! These brothers are crazy and I will miss them but I can't wait to see what's next!
I’m glad things worked out the way it did. That Roman and Kesla both was a mess. Can’t believe the length they went through. Not going to give it away but it was a great read.
Man Case made my heart smile. Him and Diar could get right. That front desk chic was whole mess and I believe she was up to no good. I can't wait to read about Demao fam.
