I saw an exhibit of Harry Benson’s photos at Pollok House outside Glasgow, Scotland and found this book in the gift shop. When I got home I checked it out from the library. I mostly looked at the pictures, but every once in a while I’d read the caption story to go along with it. Interesting, very interesting. He has led quite the life!
Some great photos but a bit starstruck sometimes and the text has a banal Partridgesque quality - it's easy to see why he was a photographer rather than a writer.
