This isn't a bad book or a bad set of udeas to base one's life around, but I do think it was a bit simple and lacked nuance. Not every man is going to be in a position to implement a lot of this. But it was an interesting look into an experience utterly at odds with mine (black male model, blogger, teacher, husband and father).
The author came across as a very nice guy. Someone you could have a beer with. It felt very preachy with the best intentions. I expected more advice on clothing. With more why's and when's for things. Kind of felt like some rants strung together. Easy enough read and would recommend it to younger men.
Not the book for me. I seek out books on etiquette and style throughout the ages. This is perfect for a young African-American man trying to define his own personal fashion style as well as life choice tips scattered throughout the book.
