Book 2.
"GATED II: Ravenhill Academy"

It has been 10 years since the events in the small picturesque town of Eden. Lives were forever altered as two newcomers found the courage to peek behind the curtain and bring Tolan Christian's reign to a violent end as the town burned around them.

No-one was more affected than Sarah-Jane Mears. The once bubbly ball of good nature is now a shadow of the former woman she used to be. After travelling to try and find a new home she has eventually settled in Northern England. She has taken a teaching position at Ravenhill Academy, an exclusive private school.

But now there is a new student who has just transferred. A young American boy who is strangely familiar and oddly charismatic. As the school breaks for the Christmas holidays the harsh winter weather has cut them off from the outside world. Sarah is starting to learn that Ravenhill is an old building seemingly with a life and an energy of its own, one that is slowly stirring.

She is going to realise that not all lessons are learnt in the classroom and that some secrets won't stay buried.

Book 3.
"GATED III: Election Day"

It was the chance of a lifetime for Avery Grant, the opportunity to run an election campaign for a candidate that seemed like the real deal.

Christian Tolanson has risen through the ranks of British politics. A man with a unique ability to inspire those around him to almost cult like levels of devotion. He has lived many lives down through the ages from his humble beginnings as a child preacher. But now his life force is finally starting to fade and time is running out pushing him to desperate levels. A man consumed by his own destiny and ready to burn the world to get what he wants.

Avery will discover the path that many have walked before her and never returned from. A realization that anything that seems too good to be true, will likely get you killed.

Mysterious and Suspenseful Horror!

This is the omnibus edition so I will be doing a small backstory for each book within the trilogy. All the books have elements of mystery, thriller, and horror which is combined within these three books.

Gated:

A little backstory:

Michael and Emily Torrance endure a tragedy in their lives so they want to get away from the life they have in Britain and they move to a small town in America called "Eden".

Eden is a gated community with people that seem to be idyllic and very nice along with always willing to lend a helping hand to their neighbor. As Michael and Emily settle into the their new home getting acquainted with the neighbors things seem just too perfect and serene to the point where they just cannot believe that such a place exists, but as time goes on things are not always what they seem and when things start to go awry the Torrances have to figure out a way to elicit a plan of escape as what they don't realize that something is simmering right below the surface of the perfect community.

Ravenhill Academy:

The second book starts out with Sarah Jane Mears (one of the characters from the first book Gated) as she lands a teaching job in England at a private school (Ravenhill Academy) as she is still trying to pick up the pieces of her life of things that happened in the town of Eden.

When a 13 year old boy arrives as a new student (Joshua) the school becomes his playground of evil as he is able to manipulate everyone around him. Sarah learns that the school has some bad history and she has to figure out what she needs to do to maintain not only her sanity but to survive the evil seeping through the school grounds along with trying to stop "Joshua" as he harbors a dark secret that is tied to the town of Eden.

Election Day:

Campaigning for the greater good might be something that Avery Grant is thinking as she latches onto a candidate that seems too good to be true, but she decides to take a chance on Christian Tolanson as he seems to be able to gather the masses of people to his will. Tolanson is not all what he seems and to get things done he is willing to do anything to becoming elected. Tolanson is tied to the town of Eden as well and when things come to light about him the book goes into overdrive as when loose ends are being tied up sometimes they unravel.

Thoughts for all the books within this omnibus:

There was a drawn out buildup of suspense, tension and horror. There are quite a few characters within all three books so I won't go into detail of each one, but all the characters were believable and seemed to mesh in with the storylines. All three books are tied together so it is best to read them all in order. Giving this whole set four "suspenseful" stars.

Trump in person

I found the Gated books haunting and scary, because it as a lot of marks of Trump! Think about it Trumps golden towers, golden child and him being in office not once but twice. He is so dark and chubis! Just like Tolan in the book . This book is a peek in to our reality! I enjoyed the read very much. The scary part was how it was like and is happening right now! Divisions, war, greed, lies told to all the people. Dictatorship!!!!!

This book was so poorly written, in my opinion, that I didn't get past the first chapter, but I'm glad for the author that others liked it better.

Check this guy out!!!

This was such an amazing trilogy. I was hooked from just the beginning. The antagonist was such a cruel and rich character.

A good trilogy with real life evil. Each book included the 'same' antagonist but in different ways and settings. That made each book unique and interesting. It was a bit inconsistent when the antagonist could do almost anything with his powers in one scene and then was almost powerless in the next. Overall a well-constructed set of stories that held my interest.
